2 star point guards had their season cur short, as Derrick Rose tore his Achilles Tendon and John Wall tore his ACL.

Derrick Rose was having a career-season, averaging 28.4 points and 7.6 assists with 2.3 steals in 11 games for the Bulls. (8-3, 6-0 at home)

John Wall, the #1 overall pick in this year's draft, averaged 18.5 points, 7 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals for the Wizards, who are still rumored to be shopping Gilbert Arenas. With Wall's injury, they are likely to keep him for this season. The Wizards are 5-5, but a superb 5-1 at home.

Another star PG, Stephen Curry, is already sidelined for the season with a tore ACL.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined for 67 points and Joel Anthony anchored the defense as the Heat were able to extend its winning streak to 3 with a narrow 111-107 victory over the Suns.

Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat made their debuts, Carter led the newcomers in scoring with 19 before fouling out.

The Heat led by 10, 35-25 after the first 12 minutes, but the Suns rallied back and tied the game at 49 in the second quarter. Behind Dwyane Wade, the Heat got off to a hot start in the third quarter, leading by as much as 10 and finishing the quarter with an 8-point lead.

And despite leading by as much as 12 with over 8 minutes left, the Suns put together another rally. Behind Hakim Warrick, Josh Childress and Steve Nash, the Suns rallied to 14-2 run to tie the game at 102. Dwyane Wade scored his 4th three-pointer to put the Heat up 3. Pietrus knocked down his only 3-pointer to tie game again at 107.

Dwyane Wade quickly took the ball up court and dunked the ball with force over Robin Lopez. Steve Nash was unable to score on the other end and with 32 seconds left, Erik Spoelstra called a time-out.

Unable to find a good shot, LeBron fired a desperation jumper from about 19 feet, which touched nothing but the bottom of the net, leaving Phoenix 9 seconds. They weren't able to score in the remaining time and didn't foul the Heat players on time.

HEAT starting center Joel Anthony suffered a injury after being fouled by Robin Lopez in Miami's win over Phoenix. Anthony played on and attempted the free throws, but came out during the next dead ball and didn't play the final 7 minutes of the game.

He was later diagnosed with back spasms.

He is expected to play through it and keep his starting position.

"He's a warrior. He's the anchor of our defense. I want to keep him healthy, but he expressed how much he wants to keep playing," said HEAT coach Erik Spolestra.

Heat are 11-2 with Anthony as their starting C. The 4th year pro out of UNLV is averaging 2.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
