noah not so much for 8-10 weeks apparently. no more garbage time for Taj Cartwright. better dust off ol' crazy eyes too

they survived playing through the toughest part of their sched w/o Boozer. i'm cautiously opitimistic

Yeah, here's hoping. That's some terrible news amidst lucky number seven in a row. Hopefully Rose can shake off his injuries sooner rather than later.

Bad news those are.
I really like how the teams is shaping as of now. Boozer is really playing great, and Rose despite being hurt had a great assisting game, showing that he's a great all around player. I really like that the offense now runs from many players, not only from Rose and Noah.If we can get another 3 point presence from the bench to come along with Kyle Korver, this team will be pretty much completed on all sectors.

get the grant park celebration rally ready...

maybe it's time to see what Rasheed Wallace is doing
Andrew wrote:Hopefully Rose can shake off his injuries sooner rather than later.

he got some help with a schedule quirk: Bulls haven't played since wednesday. next game is Saturday and after that Tuesday. in hindsight he was fortunate that Toronto was trapping/chasing him on the pick and rolls..

It's crazy that as soon as Bozzer gets into his rhythm after recovering, Noah goes down and needs surgery.

The injury gods aer sending a message.

Taj Gibson starting in place of Noah against the Clippers. Tough start for Rose shooting 2/8, though he's got four assists as of this post.

Looks like Bulls are going to lay that egg

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Dec 19, 2010 1:45 pm

And so they do, with a one point loss to end the winning streak at seven. :( Rose has to knock down those free throws.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Rose missed the freebies :o

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Dec 19, 2010 6:15 pm

We lost again a game because of a missed free throw... :(

I was sure Rose would made them because of their importance though, but it seems that indeed free throws is not a great part of Bulls' game...

Hopefully this game was lost because Clippers played a great game ,not because Bulls are worse now because of Jo's absence. This was a nice chance to keep that little streak running, but luck was not on our side

I don't think there's any question that they are worse off without him, but they'll just have to find a way to compensate and get by without him until he's ready to go in 8-10 weeks. Perhaps this one could be chalked up to being just one of those games, with a final push unfortunately falling short of overtime with a missed free throw, but as AG alluded to they'd be well advised to bring in another serviceable big to try and fill the void a little until Noah's back.

I wanted to mean "too much worse with Noah out".

Maybe trading for a C will be a wise option,I agree too. Maybe trying looking for a center who is a young player, and can be useful to the team and after Noah returns? I just can't stand watching Thomas plaing 15 minutes and scoring 3 points with 3 rebounds and being fouled out as well!

BTW ,'cause i saw only the last 3 minutes and watched the recap an hour ago, what happened with Gibson? He hit his head and didn't return? If he's out too ,it will be too bad for the team.Really unlucky to miss another valuable player.I'm pretty sure that if he would stay on the game,Clippers wouldn't make the run and take the big lead on the 2nd half, as Griffin would have less space to play his game.

Bulls fan 1: sniff sniff. hey whats that smell?
Bulls fan 2: oh that is just a shepherding sheik starting a center.

Painful memories of that NCAA Championship game......hope he can shake it off and bounce back (Y)

At least he actually got to the free throw line, for once.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Mon Dec 20, 2010 7:46 pm

Still shooting around 76% once he gets there, though. Just as he's improved his three point shooting, it'd be great if he could get his free throws up over 80% and be steadier at the line in crunch time.

according to our friends at 82games.com- Rose's clutch FT% is 88.9 (16/18)

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:22 pm

I thought he'd missed a few more than that but those probably weren't within 82games.com's definition of clutch (4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points); if nothing else, the margin might have been wider during the games I was thinking back to. I stand corrected on the clutch free throws.

Comfortable win over the Sixers to hopefully get back on track. Wizards tomorrow in Washington.

What a crazy win over the sixers!
Nice to see everyone involved and finally Kurt Thomas provided some of his veteran experience on the game.He wasn't contributing at all so far.

Bulls were up by FIFTY-ONE POINTS at one point.
:turrible: D sixers!

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

I just looked back at the boxscore again and noticed it was quite similar to some of the big wins I've had in my 06 Bulls Dynasty, right down to them shooting 64.5% from the field. Hope they've still got the hot hand against the Wizards today.
