don't wanna flame but need to point out one thing: buying the retail version helps a lot for these kind of troubles.

i'm having some trouble with nba 2k11.. every time i start a match right after starting the game the screen is normal, but i can't edit starting line ups and everybody on the court is named aaron brooks (i'm playing with the rockets).. i select rematch and everything goes fine..
however midway the 3rd quarter the commentators stop talking, and a few minutes laters the game crashes.
anybody having a similar problem? i used to be able to play the game without any problems

What's your graphic card (nvidia or Ati) and video setting in the game?

I just wondered that it has to be something with my graphic card.
I ran this game on my colleague's pc at the office. Everythings looked fine. both Lal vs Bull (intro game) and one quickgame. Don't have chance to try association mode yet but I think it will be okay.

Tonight, i will install this game again and try to lower video settings in this game to check what will happen.

PS. I can play other games like Mafia 2 and Fifa 11 smoothly.

Same for me...
- legal copy (Germany)
- one game played is OK, but then graphical errors appear (missing buttons, glitches, black screen) or game crashes to desktop
- after quitting the game, my OS acts weird: graphical errors, programs not starting with strange errors like "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service." - lol @ 3GB RAM, 15% pagefile, > 100 GB free HD space) and so on...only rebooting helps. Every time!
- system components were tested and OK (RAM, graphics, soundcard, HDD)
- uninstalling / reinstalling the game didn't help
- no other game has any problems
- pagefile is located at the drive where the game is installed
- drivers for graphic card are up to date, so are for mainboard and BIOS
- OS is WinXP SP3 32bit, RAM is at 3x 1024 MB, graphic card is Sapphire HD3870 Ultimate (ATI)

This sucks

[Edit 1] Ah, I'll try deinstalling Avira Antivir. At the moment I've got no time to set my PC up for Win7.
