Great win. I like it when my games that are decided by three points or less. Very fun to play in 2k. Also nice defense by Manu and that Wes Johnson pic is sick.

and now it's wayyyy too high :lol: CPU attempts look fine but maybe reduce 3 point (for both cpu n user) makes by 1 or 2 to make it around 35-45%

and raise the foul tendency for user...just 9 is ridiculously low (hence the 96 FGA) :wink:
oh, also blocks and steals might be a bit too high for the user, don't think you see 16 blocks too often, i think they average 6-7?

otherwise, good win (Y)

Good free throw numbers. You really shot the lights out vs the Wolves. I love the Wolves court, looks so "new".

Blair's final statline of 21 points, seven rebounds, and 8/12 shot from the field blew away Love's 16 points, six rebounds and one steal.

i wouldn't necessarily call a 5 pt,1 reb difference being, "blown away" :lol:

where the heck was Corey Forggette? Injured or something?

Thanks John. I also like this games that are decided in the last minute, but I had a 15-point lead and Webster started hitting 3s from everywhere. They even had a 3-point lead before Manu went to work with dunks, free throws and the defense in that last shot. :cheeky:

I resetted mp3 sliders to their defaults (here) I guess I'll have to make more changes. Less 3-pointers, more fouls, less steals, less blocks; I'm taking notes!

hova- wrote:Good free throw numbers. You really shot the lights out vs the Wolves. I love the Wolves court, looks so "new".

Flynn fouled out, hence the big free throws for me, but they need more FTs too, will have to change that as Valor said... IMO, Wolves court is the ugliest in the league :lol:

Love only had points sporadically, Blair got into a streak really soon and I went to him a lot of times. Minny went more with Webster and Johnson. Now I think about it, it wasn't a "blow away"... What I meant by "blown away" is that Blair won the power forward battle against Love, I would even go out and say Love only scored when Blair was on the bench :cheeky: Maggette only had 4 points, 2-of-10... but a really important jumper in the last minutes.

HUGE, HUGE game against Dallas tonight. Mavs lead the West, at 13-3 if I remember correctly...

Sidenote: Anyone saw the last videos? Added more signature highlights, penetrations to the basket and And-1's.

Spurs ripped by Chandler & Mavericks, who win 3rd straight; more boos from AT&T Center crowd
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (DAL :: SAS)

SAN ANTONIO, November 26 -- Even a huge injury bug has not stopped the Dallas Mavericks from the best start to a season in team's recent memory. Tyson Chandler scored 22 points and 17 rebounds and Jason Kidd added 17 points and 11 assists as the banged-up Mavericks never trailed in the game, cruising to a 101-86 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. Despite a recent injury whirlwind, the Mavericks have the best record in the West with 13-2, their best record since 2002-03, when they opened the season 14-1. Dirk Nowitzki started despite suffering from migraines in recent days. “I took a lot of pills,” Nowitzki said, “I felt the headaches during the game, but I did not want to leave him (Chandler) out there all by himself.” He was sent home from yesterday's team scrimmage to rest and briefly left for the locker room in the third quarter, with the Mavs up by 13, and returned in the fourth to score 10 of his 16 points, as Chandler scored 18 of his 22 in the first half.

Caron Butler also had 16 points for Dallas, as guard Jason Terry missed his third consecutive game with an ankle sprain, center Brendan Haywood missed his sixth straight with a torn hamstring and guard J.J. Barea missed his second in a row with a strained achilles tendon. With the team hospital full, minutes were open for backups to prove themselves. Rookie Dominique Jones started in place of Terry and scored 11 points and five assists, center Ian Mahinmi (signed in the summer from the Spurs) entered the game in the second quarter and played 7 minutes, scoring 4 points; even forward Steve Novak and center Alexis Ajinca saw action, but went scoreless. “We're in a situation where we need everyone to play big,” Jones said. “We needed everybody tonight, whether they were 100 percent or not. Everybody needs a little help, that was what made Tyson's effort huge.” With the Mavs up by 16 in the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Spurs went into a 14-4 run, with rookie Gary Neal scoring 10, and were down by only 5 points, but another run by Kidd and Chandler killed their hopes.

“We just never were quite right all night, and Dallas took advantage of it,” Spurs forward Corey Maggette said. “You can't play one good period of basketball and expect to win an NBA game. It doesn't work that way.” The Spurs, who entered the game with a 4-game winning streak, looked like a team playing a back-to-back. They had 17 turnovers, 11 in the second half. Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter were unsuccessful trying to keep Chandler away from the hoop. Chandler shot 9-of-12 and also had 4 blocks -- all on Duncan. Maggette and Manu Ginobili had 12 points each; Ginobili was really the only Spur who played good in the first half. The Spurs Big 3 shot a combined 12-of-31, Duncan with 10 and Tony Parker with 11. Boos came from the Spurs crowd after the game -- just like 10 days ago in the Spurs' loss against the Chicago Bulls -- despite the team's acceptable 10-5 record. “We've been there before,” Ginobili said of the San Antonio crowd booing their squad. “I think we played hard, we just came up a little short. It was a frustrating loss, but I'm 100% sure we will bounce back and give these people the team they deserve.”

River Walk Chronicles ♦ Thierry's Morning Coffee

    Weekly Rewind N° 5 • Lakers, Marcus Thornton, injuries, rumors and more...
    nba.com/spurs/morningcoffee | November 28th, 2010

    Image
    SAN ANTONIO -- Welcome to the latest installment of my “Morning Coffee” blog, Spurs fanatics. I have some more tidbits here in the table for us to discuss. I'm doing a weekly report with things that happened around the league, including: in my opinion, the most interesting game of the week; signings & waivings; POTW honors; injury report and trading rumors. Hope you join the discussion!

    Gasol, Kobe lead Lakers to 3th straight win, slowly reviving • After eking out a pair of wins earlier in the week, the Lakers got a chance to enjoy themselves in this one. Pau Gasol scored a season-high 31 points, Kobe Bryant had 24 and the Los Angeles Lakers raced to their biggest victory of the season, a 120-86 thumping of the Chicago Bulls on November 23. Bryant also dished out 10 assists for Los Angeles, which shot 54 percent from the field while winning its third game in a row. The 34-point margin easily eclipsed a 20-point win over Golden State (111-91, Nov. 21) and a last-minute triumph over Minnesota (102-98, Nov. 19), as it didn't require nearly as much effort as their two previous victories. The second quarter was key as the Lakers posted a 41-23 score in those 12 minutes. “We finished our work early tonight,” Bryant said. The Bulls then went more than 7 minutes without a field goal in the third quarter, were the Lakers built a 28-point lead and were up by 26 entering the fourth. “They were so worried about Kobe,” Gasol added. “I was able to sneak my way inside and get some easy shots.” Gasol shot 11-of-18 and also posted 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.

    Thornton to test free agency waters? • A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press today that Hornet Marcus Thornton may be pondering to test free agency when June comes around. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team wasn't planning to announce Thornton's decision. Hornets coach Monty Williams already has talked to Thornton, hoping to show the swingman how sincere the club is about keeping him. “He is one of our top priorities right now, period,” Williams said. “I have him in my plans and I don't want him to leave.” New Orleans had been discussing an extension with Thornton, other reports claimed. Hornets star Chris Paul said last week he expects Thornton to stick around, as they have developed a close friendship, but he also said that wouldn't be surprised if other teams called to check on Thornton's availability in a trade. Thornton is averaging 12.7 points and 2.6 rebounds, shooting .446% from the field, including .400% from beyond the arc, in 23.7 minutes.

    Players of the Week • The Miami Heat's LeBron James and the Portland Trail Blazers' Brandon Roy today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played November 21-27. Miami had a 2-2 week as James averaged 26.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, even posting 34 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in a one-team game, a 133-78 win over Dallas, who lead the West with a 13-3 record. Roy led the Blazers to a 1-0 week, as he scored 40 points, 2 rebounds and 4 steals in a 112-89 win against New Orleans.

    Injury report • Sorted by injuries with most duration, here you can check the full injury report. Thunder swingman Thabo Sefolosha, one of OKC's top defensive players, broke his back after tripping over a bowling ball and will miss at least 6 weeks of action; Sefolosha will have surgery today. “I miscalculated and I fell over the bowling ball. I went to my kitchen, heard the doorbell, went back to the door, running to get it and fell over the bowling ball. Embarrassing,” he said. In other news, an examination by a hand specialist in Cleveland revealed that Cavs forward J.J. Hickson suffered a torn ligament in his right hand; Cleveland Clinic performed successful surgery yesterday and Hickson is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks. Houston Rockets forward Shane Battier is recovering after undergoing surgery to repair a broken finger on his left hand; Rockets said the procedure was performed by team physicians.

    Trade rumors • With trade rumors swirling, Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic told the Los Angeles Times that he was looking forward to free agency, despite rumors that Philadelphia called to ask a trade for him. He hears the trade rumors, but he doesn't pay attention to them. His girlfriend, tennis marvel Maria Sharapova, and friends constantly are checking in, wondering if the latest rumor is true. “There was some talk, that's why it's been bothering them,” said Vujacic, who appears expendable because of his $5.47M expiring contract. “This rumors of me going away, they were going crazy. It's just part of the business and we'll see what happens.”

    In other news, the biggest internal issue in Detroit is said to be Ben Gordon and his relationship with coach John Kuester; Gordon's contract still has 3 years left, so the Pistons have him on the books for a long time. But it may well be a chance to get a expiring deal as GM Joe Dumars already spoke of his rebuilding plans. Gordon could be that last, missing piece for a good team with a “win now” mentality, given his shooting ability, speed, quickness and athleticism. The Pistons could get a big head start on their retooling if a team gets the idea Gordon can make the difference for them. Detroit already made a trade a couple of weeks ago, sending Rodney Stuckey and DaJuan Summers to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Carl Landry, Luther Head and a 2nd round pick.

Parker wins duel against CP3; Spurs back on winning ways
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (SAS :: NOH)

NEW ORLEANS, November 28 -- Midway through the second quarter against the San Antonio Spurs, the Hornets already trailed by eleven. Unable to mask his frustration, Chris Paul throwed his empty Gatorade bottle to the floor in anger during a timeout. In the third, a back-court violation called on New Orleans left Paul shaking his head, as he was unable to understand what had happened to his team. By the time the game was over, after the Spurs posted a 100-85 victory, Paul wasn't the only Hornet who was frustrated. “Something has to happen right now because we can't afford to lose contests like this one,” David West said. “You've got to impose your will early in the game and we couldn't do that. We got beat badly at home because of it.” West had a double-double for New Orleans with 14 points and 14 boards. After a slow but back-and-forth start, the Hornets were unable to match the Spurs' energy throughout the game. While they fought back from a 8-point deficit, and even led 30-25 in the second quarter, they fell apart as the Spurs posted a 11-0 run for a 36-25 score. Trailing by seven points at the break, a 32-point third period for San Antonio gave Gregg Popovich's team a 16-point advantage going into the last 12 minutes.

“Defensively, we didn't come to play,” a stunned Paul said. “We've got to come out to the court and start off better. That's my responsibility, getting the team going, make plays and have a better showing for our fans. We just didn't get into a rhythm.” Paul was 0-of-4 from the field in the first half, but 5-of-7 in the second for 16 points and 9 assists. The Hornets played most of the game without DJ Mbenga, who left the game just a minute after he entered the game, as he went for a rebound and landed awkwardly; he did not return. After the game, Hornets coach Monty Williams said X-rays were negative and the former Laker won't be out for long. Trevor Ariza scored 20 points, 14 in the first half, but the combination of Tony Parker and DeJuan Blair was too much for New Orleans. Combining for 32 points on 12-for-15 shooting, the two were lights out all night. Parker had 19 points and 10 assists, and Blair added 13 in 5-of-5 shots; the pick-and-roll worked to perfection. “We just came out and played our game,” Blair said. “We were very physical tonight and my teammates were looking for me and we were looking for each other. We were just out there, playing and having fun.”

Tim Duncan finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks, as all five San Antonio starters reached double-figures and James Anderson added 10 points. “A rookie playing like that down the stretch, hitting jumper after jumper, he got to the lane, got a layup and hit another 3-pointer,” said Duncan, praising Anderson. “This is great for his confidence and good for us as a team.” Newcomer Willie Green scored 15 points for the Hornets, but acknowledged he would need some time to get used to his new teammates. Averaging nearly 13 points entering the game, Marcus Thornton shot 3-of-15, 0-of-7 from 3-point land, for only 8 points. “Their transition was too much for us tonight. A lot of times we were taking long jump shots... we've got to figure some things out,” Thornton said. Manu Ginobili finished with 13 points in the win for San Antonio. While Green said the Hornets were frustrated, Paul underlined the importance of staying calm. “Stay strong, stay together,” Paul said. “It is no time for panic at all. We can't take anything or any team for granted.” San Antonio's bench outscored the Hornets' bench, 33-14.

Duncan and Splitter, both in the Top 5 in blocks in the whole league, McDyess or Blair, none of them could stop him. (N)

I think it already blew up in his face when the Heat destroyed them by 34. Had to post that game and I forgot. :(
