You need to waive Critterton. [btw it's CritteNton. Free up space for a decent point guard.

Good to see the Bobcats in the top half of the Eastern Conference. Hope this plays out in real life as well.

That's exactly why I said go ahead to trade Augustin and Thomas for Devin Harris. If the Nets say no, try offloading Najera and CritteNton (at least learn his name before you trade him). Maybe throw in a draft pick or two. Do what you can to get Devin Harris while keeping your Somewhat-Big 3 intact. Don't worry about making a big trade early on, just don't get too trade-happy, otherwise you'll wind up with Miami's Big Three before you can say "I traded too much."

And by the way, you can ask for help in this thread without creating a new thread.

Some more aesthetically pleasing recaps and better info than every player's stats would likely greatly improve this dynasty, while making it quicker and more enjoyable to recap.

NBA RUMOUR MILL
harris_300_080228.jpg

The Charlotte Bobcats have reportedly expressed interest in Nets point guard Devin Harris. Reports say that the Bobcats would have to give up either Boris Diaw or Tyrus Thomas and DJ.Augustine for the 1 time all star.
Harris laughed when he was asked if he is a home owner or if he rents in the garden state.
Larry Brown had no comment when contacted by the media on Friday night following the loss to the Nets

Don't give up Diaw! Imagine your line-up: Harris, Jackson, Wallace, Diaw, whoever your starting center will be. Great line-up.

Our reporter Taylor Martin was able to talk to Bobcats captain and superstar after the tough loss to the 76ers in Pennsylvannia.

TAYLOR:Gerald first of all i would like to thankyou for giving us your time, lets jump straight to it what do you think went wrong tonight?
WALLACE:Tonight was a tough night for us. We are all still really annoyed that the Nets game slipped through our fingers, but you know we have no excuses we just have to get back to basics all 15 players on the squad need to contribute to this team if we want to make it back to the post season and i think that will happen.
TAYLOR:Now i understand that you are struggling with an injury? Can you tell us about it?
WALLACE:Just tightness in my left hamstring, nothing to worry about.
TAYLOR:I guess a sore hamstring isnt nearly as bad as a grade 3 concussion then?
WALLACE:(laughs) no way
TAYLOR:And no bus trip across the country again?
WALLACE:(laughs) no altitude problems i cant fly with this injury.
TAYLOR:Now last year was your best season the Bobcats made the playoffs, you where named to the all star team and 1st team all defense, looking at your stats-23.5 points per game,5.6 rebounds,4.5assits,1.7steals and your 2nd highest shooting percentage at .525% you would have to say this season has somehow been even better?
WALLACE:Look you know if you told me that 3 years ago i would be happy enough with that, but im the captain now and really i think its more important if the team improves over last year and if that involves me proving individually then thats what ill do. Boris and Nazr have been stealing some of my rebounding stats though (laughs)
TAYLOR:Now you are captain of this team. Do you think you can make it back to the post season or is there something or someone the team needs?
WALLACE:Well we had a tough start to the season and i think our worst is behind us. We lost Tyson and Raymond in the offseason which hurt alot but we have been able to gel really well and adapt to playing without those two guys. As for the post season i think we have a really good chance of making it back there. Everyone in the squad is just as eager as me and i think thats half the battle. We have the right mindset so yeah, i think we can. Its still very early.
TAYLOR:Losing Tyson and Raymond does your team need to make a trade to get back to the way you where or improve?
WALLACE:Look thats not my job so no comment (laughs)
TAYLOR:Okay now this is your 2nd season with Larry Brown, whats that like?
WALLACE: I think it was Allen Iverson who said he is the best basketball coach ever and i dont think i could put it any other way what he has done with this franchise is amazing you can see in the attendance the difference he has made.
TAYLOR:Now during the middle of last month you signed Serbian Sasha Pavlovic who has been your backup. It seems like thats been a hand and glove fit for you guys?
WALLCE:Absolutely Sasha is having a career year, i think theres been a couple of nights where he has put up better numbers then me! but yeah he has a really good mindset and wants to win. We think with his experience from the Cavs he will be able to help us come playoff time. Its just great to have his energy to come off the bench and it really makes it easier on me knowing that we usually dont miss a beat when im not on the floor. I think thats something that all starters want and all good teams have.
TAYLOR:Now you guys have the Nuggets back in Charlotte can we expect a W?
WALLACE: We are confident we can put last week behind us and give the fans a win
TAYLOR:As always Gerald a pleasure and good luck with the remainder of the season
WALLCE:Thankyou

Look at my Live Franchise story: North Carolina Domination.
Or just about any other franchise/dynasty/association/myplayer story on this forum. Every story has something really nice about it and it's usually something about the recaps/text/pictures or something. Make yours one of them. Your interview with Wallace was a start (he's one of my favorite players, Bobcats are my home city team.) keep the story running like a story if you can't find ways to keep the recaps visually appealing.

Gerald Wallace is without a doubt an All-Star this season in your association I must say. I wish I could say that about real life, but I really think if he plays like he played in Orlando, he'll have no problems repeating as an All-Star.

NBA RUMOUR MILL
gilbert-arenas-playoffs.jpg

Just a week after rumours about a possible Devin Harris trade a Gilbert Arenas rumour has popped up. While GIlbert is a commodity right now his stock is at an all time low and the Bobcats have the right role players to aquire the all star point guard.
POSSIBLE TRADES
Tyrus Thomas,Desangna Diop for Gilbert Arenas

This would make a lot of sense for both parties as Andray Blatche has become the starting centre for the Wizards, Thomas would make make a very good young front court that could develop and grow, with Wall the Wizards are keen to get rid of Hibatchi as soon as they can.
MJ has been known to take risks, its time that one finally pays off.

That's a good trade for a game, although I would never do this in real life. Honestly I prefer the Devin Harris trade.

You don't necessarily need photoshop, I used Microsoft Paint in my first pair of franchises (see: "Bobcats in the Sun" a pair of Bobcats-Suns Franchises) You don't necessarily need screens either, find a pic or two on the web. Say you're playing the Heat: find a cool pic from this year - possibly one of the team's best players defending each other (Wallace on LeBron, etc.) or just find a pic taken at a Heat-Bobcats game.

You should really take a look at the "How To Write A Successful Association Story" thread for ideas.

BOBCATS ACQUIRE DEVIN HARRIS FROM NEW JERSEY
3887215474_6a1febaf77.jpg

December 13th,2010
The New Jersey Nets have accepted a trade that involves them trading away starting point guard Devin Harris and a 2nd round draft pick to the Charlotte Bobcats for prospect power forward Tyrus Thomas and staring guard DJ.Augustine.
The Nets coming off a 12-70 season have made an improvement at 6-18 currently, but are still nowhere being a threat in the East. After failing to acquire Lebron James and Carmello Anthony in the last 6 months the team is still in rebuilding. Nets coach Avery Johnson had this to say about the trade:
"I coached Devin in Dallas and here in New Jersey he is a fantastic player and we hope he continues playing well in Charlotte. But this trade is about the Nets we are trying to get back on track and this is a trade that gives us DJ (who is in the last year of his contract) who we believe can be as good (if not better) then Devin and Tyrus Thomas who can mentor Favours and be very effective as a backup forward/centre. The Bobcats have been interested in Devin since the Carmello deal fell through and when Thomas was added to the trade we where more than happy to accept. We haven't made the start we wanted but with 2 players that are young and have experience we feel we can begin to take the step needed to make this franchise a very good ball club" Devin Harris is currently averaging-19.8ppg,1.7rpg,6.0apg and was happy to be relocating to a more competitive team.
Michael Jordan arguably the greatest player of all time has not had the same success off the court with well known draft busts and risks that have not worked out at all. He had this to say about trading for Harris. "Im confident with this trade we have been interested in getting Harris ever since we lost Raymond Felton to free agency last summer. It is a risk trading away to young players in DJ and Tyrus but Devin is at the prime of his career and has proved to be the player he is." When asked how head coach Larry Brown reacted to this trade Jordan had this to say:"Being a point guard himself he was very happy. He felt DJ was not going as well as he thought when he was drafted in the first round 2 years ago, so i think Larry Brown is looking forward to developing Harris who is still only 27."Harris also has the ability to take some of the load Gerald Wallace has had to carry this season and i think we will see that pay off as the season carries on. Augustine was averaging-9.9ppg,1.3rpg and 8.4 apg. Thomas-6.0ppg,5.5rpg,2.0bpg
