It was a cool January morning and the new year had just arrived. CJ Miles woke up from the constant ringing of his Blackberry Bold 9650. It was his New York-based agent, Billy Ceisler, calling. "Hey man. What's up?" CJ picked up. "Hey CJ, did I wake you up?" "No man, it's cool. Something you wanna tell me?" "Oh, I have just been browsing NBA.com's website to see the Award race for the Most Improved Player. I have some bad news for you man. You didn't make the list for the early candidates......CJ? CJ? Well, gotta go. Talk to you later." The call ended with CJ still in shock from what his agent had just told him. "Dang....that sucks," Miles thought to himself. He knew he had worked hard to deserve it more than any other player in the league....
(Warriors' locker room. Preparing for their last regular season meeting with the powerhouse Heat)"You didn't make it? That's bullshit, man," said Monta Ellis, one of CJ's closest friends on the team.
"I know,....FUCK!!!!"
Stephen Curry grabbed his iPhone to look at NBA.com's Most Improved Player Award race. "Well, maybe instead of venting, you could just turn all this into more motivation... you know ... to prove those experts wrong," Steph suggested. "Make it look like your name should be there instead of...what the fuck," Curry exclaimed upon reading one of the names of the candidates for the award. ".... Julian Wright, who is averaging a career high 6 points this season."
CJ thought about Curry's advice long and hard. It did not seem like a bad idea at all....
(4th quarter of the Warriors-Heat game. Warriors up by 1, 90-89)Clark K: Welcome back to the action. This is Clark Kellogg with Kevin Harlan bringing you the Miami Heat vs the Golden State Warriors. NBA on 2ksports.
Kevin H: Less than 90 seconds to play, Clark. Warriors inbounding, Heat trail by 1. They need a stop and with the Big Three on the floor right now, that's definitely happening.
...
Clark K: 4 seconds on the shot clock, Udoh with the ball. Hands it to Lewis who launches the off balance shot....NO!! Battle for the rebound Wade and LeBron... Monta Ellis ends up with it, finds Miles for three...GOT IT! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!
(Heat coach Erik Spoelstra called for timeout. The Warriors went into a wild celebration. The bench was jumping up and down, teammates exchanging high fives and bumping each other. The Warriors knew they have just upset a top team)
Clark K: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! BUT HE DID IT.
Kevin H: Great shot by Miles right there. It was just unfortunate for Miami that the ball bounced on Wade's head while getting the rebound. I definitely think his spacing with LeBron wasn't right in that play.
(Miles finished the game with a team high 19 points in the victory, including the biggest shot of the night. He knew he had already proved that those experts were wrong.)

I gotta second Lamrock. I hope that everyone who reads this posts in there because you really deserve it. What a long rebound after the first shot. Really good that you managed to pick the ball and hit the clutch shot. CJ's just awesome.

Lamrock, hova-, thanks for the kind words guys.

DAMN

tough break (pun intended) for CJ; but at least it didn't faze the team's hot streak away

Nice to see you hit .500

Good to see Lewis playing that well. I had my doubts, because he's soft and his contract is "turrible" (like Lam would say).
Right now it seems to be a good trade for you

Hoping Rashard can keep this level after CJ's injury.

It was a big risk going for Shard, I loved it and so far it's working out. He really fits your style.
Also glad to see Dorell with a 30-point night.

The bench has been better than start of the season.

Great trade for you. Radmanovic isn't playing really good, and Barnes is a great defensive presence. Not to mention SASHA!
(and Maria Sharapova!)

never liked Vlad Rad much so i'm glad he's gone; though i don't care much for that pretty boy with the girls name either so seems a stalemate

Great job ripping off the Lakers!! Love it!

Thanks guys. i did the trade so that I'd be able to send udoh to the d-league (cause i only got 12 players in the roster) but it doesn't work. I was thinking of waiving Boo-ya-shik but now that Thierry has brought it up I might just have him sitting on the bench to add more celebrity presence to Warrior games.
