The CPU is a god when in Hall of Fame difficulty. I don't know if it's just me or I'm not used on the controls, but it is definitely hard. I can't defeat them. (I can easily defeat them on NBA 2k10)

They can easily intercept my pass, block my shots, and they can easily shoot even it is contested. So yeah, it's a shame that I'm using all-star as my difficulty.

yeah. you're right, here's a tip, first, play only on pro/all star level, then master everything there. from time to time you will improve and then take it to the next level, HOF mode :D

I think I'm too proud of myself, because I pwnd every team on 2k10.lol.

Seriously, this one is awesome. Though, my settings is everything at low except the player. I'm using a laptop, that's why.

Anyways, it seems that there's no charging here? It's frustrating when you just stand there, and is hit, then they call you a blocking foul.

Way too many trades by CPU.... Playing My Player for the Indiana Pacers and after 2 Games they sent Danny Granger away for Michael Beasley + Kosta Koufos and Roy Hibbert for Thaddeus Young....

WOW! WOW! WOW!

I absolutely love this game. It feels great to play and the atmosphere they've managed to capture is amazing.

The first basketball game I played was NBA live 09 and if I'm honest I didn't like the 2k11 demo. The controls were drastically different to what i was used to and originally I was disappointed that NBA Elite was delayed. But I really wanted a new Basketball game so went with 2k11 and figured I'd get used to it and I can safely say after a few days of play, I will not be going back to the EA titles!!

I love the Jordan challenges, although I've managed to compelte the first one. I think the attention to detail, especially the way the screen looks aged as though it would have looked on a TV in 1990 or whenever. I also discovered that that Larry Bird fellah ain't too shabby!

'My Player' is addictive but frustrating at the same time. Marking you down for bad shot selection when driving at the rack and bad pass selection are frustrating but I'm getting used to what I get positive and negative marks for and have upped my average teammate grade to B- from D+. It was difficult as, being British, I've never really played basketball so have been learning the game in the last couple of months since picking up NBA Live 09 pre owned. Got my guy up to an OVR 55 so far. Got drafted by the Pacers and traded to the Warriors where Monta Ellis ensures we lose every game by taking ridiculous shots whenever her gets the ball.

I'm loving the play calling incomparison to NBA live and the fact that alley-oops require an element of skill and timing but feel so satisfying when you nail one.

I haven't noticed and major bugs or anything yet.

Could someone answer me the following:

Is there a list of all the positive and negative actons in my player anywhere at all?
every now and then I get positive marks for 'Filled lane correctly' - What does this mean? how do I get it?
My player is a SG, but I get moved around into small forward quitea bit. What should I be doing as a SF? Just post play?
Is 'The Association' game mode the same as Dynasty in NBA live?

Thanks

Jon

Can't answer the first two, but a SF is almost the same as a SG, except that a SF usually drives to the rim (think LeBron) while a SG just shoots (think Ray Allen).

Yes, Association is like Dynasty, except it's much, much better and deeper than Live. :)

Filling the lane is basicly good transition offense without the ball. Running the court with your teammate leading the break.

Thanks Axel and Hedo.

So playing SF isn't a million miles different to playing SG. Good to know.

I get what you mean Hedo. Still can't seem to get positive marks on it consistently though. I'll keep trying.

I've also got quite good at my defensive play as I've learnt that .... 'if there's one thing you don't wanna be known for, it's being a bad defender.' .... sound familiar to anyone?

BTW... DO NOT PLAY FOR THE WARRIORS ... EVER!

This has a bit of a rundown of fast break basketball, including an image of the correct lanes. The general idea is to have five guys running down the floor with the ball in the middle (to maximise options, rather than only being able to go one way as would be the case if the ball were on the side) and everyone equally spaced.

That's pretty useful, thanks mate. Probably sounded like a stupid question but I'm pretty much learning from the ground up. So, thanks!

Not at all. Plenty of people play for years and never even begin to comprehend proper floor spacing even in the half court. Finding a team of five guys who can all run the lanes on a fast break is surprisingly difficult.

Another thing I've just discovered as my player's got better is the 'double move leading to score' positive points. I usually achieve this by pulling a crossover or hesitation move and finishing with a hop step (spin or normal hopstep). I could be wrong and it may be 2 hesitation/crossover moves but it comes in handy.

Also as another pointer which may sound obvious - increase the 'vertical' attribute is quite low cost and has made a good difference tomy rebounding ability quite quickly for not too many SP.
