... better keep Timmy healthy and dominating or this'll be pretty difficult to follow
Oh Clutch... just check Maggette's line last preseason game: 0-2 fg, 0-1 3s, 17-20 ft... IMO, he's a better Jefferson and he can give me better results... As I said the other day, ran 3 or 4 simmed seasons and Tim was huge, close to 20-10

mp3 wrote:Great job as usual with the layout , i actually love the Corey Maggette trade he's the type of player that once you get used to using can fill up a boxscore and ive never liked Jefferson going all the way back to his Nets days
Martti. wrote:I like the deal, getting Maggette.
Houndy wrote:Mags can provide damage.... If he is used right
Justine. wrote:Good trade. Jefferson is one who I admire in the past, sucks he's not that good now. Maggette can improve your offense force. Good luck
Thanks guys, also my fav layout.
I'm getting used to Maggs' jumpshot and release... Never liked RJ either.dare wrote:Sorry to tell this but I did not even finish reading the blog, but I did try.
I know its a preview of the team but it can be a little shorter than that. We all know what Mcdyess,Manu,Duncan,Parker,Blair and Hill can do and we know what to expect from them. For me is much better if you only focus on the new acquisitions like Splitter, Anderson and Maggette.
Martti. wrote:But so far, the recaps looks even more detailed and there's still too much text imo.
Good luck.

Relax guys, no more long posts like that one. And I even had smaller text and edited it... didn't want to put it at 100 or it would be too long.George7 wrote:Damn,i would prefer Deng for Richardson any day for the Bulls.
Yeah, but you have Korver, Johnson, Brewer, also traded you Simmons.

and as i said, Timmy goes down injured for 4-5 weeks? i'll not be following for 4-5 weeks
(i refuse to be subjected to Maggarbage spotlight coverage unnecessarily and of my own free will!)

If TD goes down for that long Thierry might not either lol

I don't know if you understood my comment. I said I like Maggette, that's why it sucks for Bucks who just got Deng

I thought it was a pretty terrible deal for the Bulls. I love the depth chart animation though, I'm definitely stealing that idea.

Marcus Cousin is a beast. Next rebounding Dwight Howard/Dennis Rodman if you ask me.

Sure you don't mean DeMarcus Cousins? Marcus Cousin is another guy.

Oh yeah, I mean Marcus Cousin. Watching him play, he's a hustler on the boards.

Lol, I'll call Cousin from the Toros if that happens
Must admit I'm focusing on Manu to be a beast...The X wrote:I don't know if you understood my comment. I said I like Maggette, that's why it sucks for Bucks who just got Deng
Oh, my bad. Edited the replies post. Then the deal was a success!

Yeah, I think the Bulls were the losers in the trade, but as I said, I went with it considering they had Korver, Johnson, Bogans, Brewer, and now RJ and Simmons... I'm also in love with the court gif...

Nice
Didn't get the chance to see him on a preseason game, but I saw some vids from the team practices... didn't want to release him or Gist, so I kept them around with the Toros. Will do a mini-mini-mini report of the Toros each game, something like a prospect info.Starting the game against Indy...

TP & Manu hot hands lead Spurs past Indy
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (IND :: SAS)SAN ANTONIO, October 27 -- Tony Parker treated his parents to a good show with the help of Manu Ginobili. Parker, raised by his parents in France, played in front of them for just the third time in Texas in two years. Parker had 16 points -- 8 in the first quarter -- and 4 assists to lead San Antonio to a victory in their season opener, a 101-72 thumping of the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. Ginobili added 17 points and earned POTG honors, shooting 7/13 from the field and also grabbing six boards. Parker made sure to acknowledge his family during halftime, visiting them at their courtside seat, after a 11-3 run to seal the second quarter. “As I said tons of times, Tony is a huge point guard and with him here, I feel comfortable,” said Manu. “This is the right time and the right place. Everyone on the roster is getting an opportunity to play and if we keep up like this, we can make a lot of noise when May comes.” Newcomer Corey Maggette, acquired from Golden State just three days ago, made his debut with 17 points, 15 in the second half after shooting only 1/8 in the first.
After seven years in Spain, the Spurs signed 2007 draft pick Tiago Splitter and the Brazilian is on his way to become a fan favorite very quickly, with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks in only 20 minutes of action. “You could tell Tiago was focused from the first couple of blocks,” Parker said. “He wanted to prove to them that he can be a force to be reckoned with. He's very important to the team and he can take some minutes of Tim (Duncan).” Duncan picked two quick fouls with only 3 minutes into the game, product of two illegal screens and didn't return until 7:33 left in the second period, where he picked another (a shooting foul) and returned in the second half, where he scored all of his 14 points. DeJuan Blair, who cracked into the starting lineup this season, scored 12 points, 10 in the second half. Maggette's 15 points in the second half came from 5 incredible dunks, one over Tyler Hansbrough (who fouled out) and three over Roy Hibbert. “He's got something to prove,” Hibbert said. “Despite that first half where he was cold, his game spoke for everything. He had a chip on his shoulder.” Rookie James Anderson scored 6 points in only 8 minutes and left the court in the second quarter with 9:11 to go, and didn't return; he suffered a lower back strain and will be out of action for 1-2 weeks.
“Nothing but bad luck,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “His first game as a NBA player and he goes down with an injury. He's not happy at all, but I told him to relax. He won't be out for long.” Pacers' Danny Granger said, “San Antonio is a unique team. With Tim playing the four and hitting all those jumpers and layups, there aren't many teams who play like that in the league. We were never in the flow offensively or defensively. This was not a good night for us.” Granger led Indiana with a game-best 25 points, 11 in the first quarter alone. Roy Hibbert had 12 points and 16 rebounds for the Pacers and offseason acquisition Darren Collison scored 13. Pacers' Dahntay Jones also suffered an injury in the third period, a twisted ankle. The Spurs led by as many as 35 points during the second half.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Damn, very bad shooting night for the Pacers. Timmy needs to become less foul prone, and sucks to see Anderson go out, I see big things for him in this league.
I think the text is still a little too long, and the size should be a bit bigger. Just a suggestion.

I see you still using my template, good stuff. Dominating performance.

James Anderson's back injury considered minor
nba.com/spurs/beat | October 28th, 2010
SAN ANTONIO -- A lower back injury to Spurs rookie James Anderson is relatively minor and he will be able to return to team practice in a week. According to a Spurs press release, coach Gregg Popovich said today an examination on Anderson was really quick, and it is only a strain. Anderson suffered a lower back strain when he shot a 3-pointer, collisioned with Indiana Pacers guard T.J. Ford and landed awkwardly on his back. “He fell hard and injured his back,” said Popovich. “He said he’ll be alright. But we'll see, you always want to see the next day what happens with your players.” Anderson was Manu Ginobili's backup in the Spurs rotation and scored 6 points in 8 minutes in San Antonio's 101-72 win over the Pacers yesterday.
Anderson said today on press conference, he initially thought he broke his back. “As soon as I hit the floor, I thought it was much worse. I can't play for a week, but I'll be back better than ever. It certainly was bad luck to get injured in my first game.” Popovich added, “He's 6-6, he has outstanding scoring abilities, he has a great three-point range and is an excellent shooter coming off screens. He will be back in the rotation, that's for sure, but like everyone else you've got to be healthy. But I don't think this is an injury that is a factor at all.” Offseason signee Gary Neal will take Anderson's minutes. The Spurs placed Anderson on the injury list and activated center Matt Bonner. The Spurs host the New Orleans Hornets this Saturday, October 30, and then hit the road for two games, at Phoenix (November 1) and at Los Angeles, to face the Clippers (November 3).

An easy win.
I got those two illegal screens in only 3 mins, at least I kept him out of foul trouble in the second half. Also sucks to see James out, Manu's backup is now Gary Neal. Will try to short the text a little man.Clutch wrote:DEEEAAMN

I LOVE your score template buzzy, also quick to edit.
I remember the decapitation problem in 2k10 as well, lol. Screen from Splitter and the basket undefended. Maggette killed everyone on his way. I think it was an And 1, Hansbrough fouled out with that one.Houndy wrote:Good win.

Thanks guys. 5 players in double figures... Blair is also a really nice player. Will try to get him into MIP consideration. It's really nice to play with Parker and Manu, hope I can get any of the Big 3 into the ASG
