Glad to see you shut down the Clips and how come the CPU chose Bud in the POTG since Kevin Martin had 22 points and Yao had 11 rebounds?

Yeah, too bad they put Boozer at SF and Kevin Love at C.

I don't know, but clearly the POTG was Chris Bosh though.

"We again defeated these corrupted refs. My field goal percentage is suffering because of the referees' ineptness to call fouls when there is clearly contact," said Kevin Martin after the game.

say... isn't it fine-able for K-Mart to be poppin' off about the officiating like that to teh media? Finals MVP or not, I doubt he'll be getting many "And-1s" any time soon... anyway, good wins (Y)

Clutch-Mart [41-7]

3-Game Recap

[38-7] Houston Rockets 106-87 Portland TrailBlazers [27-19]

Image
The Greene Light scored 6 points off the bench on his first game back. Stoudamire's bullet seems to have had no effect on him.

After losing in Portland, the Rockets got revenge back in Houston against the Blazers. The scoring was evenly distributed, which is why Kevin Martin only scored a decent 16 points. Ray Allen, Chase Budinger, Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks and Kyle Lowry all scored in double-digits, crushing the TrailBlazers with ease.

[39-7] Houston Rockets 100-98 Charlotte Bobcats [22-28]

Boris Diaw's huge game challenged the Rockets' winning streak.

This has to go down as the game of the season. The Rockets were down for most of the game, their biggest lead was 5 at one point. The Bobcats were playing great interior defense, as well as shutting down the perimeter. The 'Cats were also getting plenty of second chance opportunities, thanks to Tyson Chandler. The Bobcats were leading by 8 with two minutes left. The Rockets would dump in six unanswered points, making it a two-point game at 86-88. Carl Landry would then find his way to the basket for an easy two, putting the Bobcats up by four.

After a timeout, Aaron Brooks (who scored 23 points), launched a three to make it a one point game at 90-89. Scola then fouled DJ Augustin to send him to the line, where he hit both free throws. After another timeout, this happened:

Yes, Kevin Martin sent the game to overtime, after trailing by 12 at one point in the game, tied at 92-92. In overtime, both teams played great defense, neither team getting more than a two-point lead. After forcing a miss, the Rockets slowed the game down with less than 30 seconds left. Kevin Martin called for a screen, attempted a jumpshot, but missed. Luckily, Yao was there for the rebound, with 8 seconds left, and kicked it back out to Martin. Then, all net on this play:
phpBB [video]

"It feels very good to hit a shot like that. But it was all a team effort. AB went 3/4 from behind the arc, and Yao was giving us second chance points. The bench was also providing us with energy, and really, I think this is a lucky win for us," Martin said after the game. He showed some defense on the night, with a career high 5 blocks.

After a public complaint and a $500 fine, Kevin Martin got to the line eight times this game.

[40-7] Houston Rockets 92-74 Cleveland Cavaliers [23-22]

Image
Mo Williams was named the starting All-Star point guard in the East.

Not much to be said about this game, the first half was close, but the Cavs would ultimately choke in the second half. The Rockets now increase their winning streak to 12.

Next weekend will be the Rookie Challenge and All-Star game. Didn't get to see all of the All-Stars because I had to fix this retarded trade: Kobe for LeBron. :shake: However, K-Mart and Yao are both starters for the West!

Next 2 games-
@Pistons
@Bulls

Considering that the only place on the stat sheet that K-Mart didn't outdo Boris in was rebounds, K-Mart is the true man.

I thought that three was a certain miss, with Martin shooting only 33% from three this season. Thankfully it went in.

Just the trade logic in Live. Very retarded. Last season the trade I fixed was Joe Johnson for LeBron when he was still in Cleveland.

The View from L.A.

Image

As Kevin Martin and Yao Ming got off the bus, they saw that image, the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. Why were they in Los Angeles? Because they had been voted to the All-Star game, which was to be held there. As they entered through the doors, they were amazed by all the luxury, chandeliers, and people dressed very formally. "Not what I'm used to," laughed Kevin Martin.

Immediately, they drew attention from many people as quick as Yao draws double teams in the paint during a game. Those that were chatting were still chatting, but now about both Martin and Yao. K-Mart picked up the pace, speed walking towards the reception desk to check in.

After checking in (they were assigned separate rooms on the third floor), Martin and Yao took the elevator towards the third floor. On their way to their room, they signed a few autographs (mostly from young women flirting with Martin), shook hands with many people, and got some piercing glares from people whom Martin assumed were Laker fans. Their rooms were right next to each other, and Martin parted ways with Yao.

When K-Mart entered his room, it was not a room to be specific, it was a luxury suite. Everything from his bed, to the couches, to the TV had luxury written all over it. Kevin Martin had seen this before, but what he had never seen was what blew his mind. There was a door, he opened it, and felt the outside air; he was on a balcony, looking down at the marvelous city of Los Angeles. He had never seen anything like it.

Martin looked to his right, and saw that Yao Ming had done the same, enjoying the view. Martin smiled at him, "makes you feel taller, huh?" he joked at Yao, and went back inside the suite. He jumped on his bed, and found a remote for the TV. He turned it on, and began cycling through the channels, until he saw a basketball court. He stopped, and saw the scoreboard: AUS 98 RGV 97.

"Oh, Brad must be playing!" Martin told himself. "My god, what a game this has been. In his second game back, Halstead posts another triple-double," said the voice of Vipers play-by-play commentator Amadeus Pelayo. "21 points, 12 boards, and 10 assists, and also, his buddy, Gregory Costa, has 23 points and 16 rebounds," said the color commentator. "And of course, after showing what he could do in the NBA, Costa asked to be sent down to the D-League so he wouldn't have to rot on the Rockets bench in Houston," Pelayo said.

"So with 11.2 seconds left, the Vipers get the last possession of the game," continued Pelayo. "Conroy will inbound. Finds Halstead, and he'll dribble it from the top of the key. Halstead drives, spins, layup for the win... bricked!!! Rebound by Marcus Cousin, and the Toros hold on here in Austin, 98-97."

Martin came back to Earth, found himself sitting on the edge of his bed, and laughed at himself. "The Vipers are now 19-13, as they went on a huge losing streak after the loss of Halstead. Now with him back, and a dominant Center, the Vipers are primed to repeat," said Amadeus Pelayo again as Brad Halstead, despite being frustrated at missing the game-winner, shook hands with the other team.

Kevin Martin grinned, and saw that Shane Battier really put work in adjusting Brad's attitude. He turned off the TV, and, his stomach grumbling, went down to the first floor for a bite to eat...

Even though I ain't a Bron fan myself, I'd say that Joe Johnson would prove to be a financial disaster for the Cavs.

(I was once forced to leave him rotting in free agency the year after he earned all-star, season and finals MVP in my dynasty.)

Joe Johnson isn't a bad player, it's just with all the ball handling he does for the Hawks, he should be scoring around 25-27 ppg. If he was asking for too much in your dynasty, yeah, he's not worth the money.
