How many years does the association mode last?

Just a quick question that has need bugging me for a while, for some reason i had it stuck in my head that dynasty mode goes for 25 years, but in NBA2K10, im in the year 2043 and i don't even play anymore cuz everybody is computer generated. I just want to know if there is some end point where your job as GM is evaluated or something. It will be pretty unfufilling if it goes on and on with no end.

lol yes, i didn't actually play anymore, i just simmed and traded and traded some more, i just wanted to "finish" it, but it doesn't look like it ends

It's 40 years iirc. So it will finally end at 2051.
