Super Mario and sophomore Jimmer Fredette, they still got Salmons, Beasley, Boozer and a decent Jermaine O'Neal

At last a way to get rid of Wade and of the contract of Deng. But who will be the starter at SG? Evan Turner?

Marcus Jordan! That was the favor! Hope he can play good for you and maybe he can become the starter in the place of Wade!

Nope, Antawn Jamison is there also, Scola got traded on draft-night so you are coming off the bench behind Jamison

Both would be hard to trade since
a. Wade has a NTC
b. Deng's contract is too ugly, even if he's a former all star He's only rated in the high 70s, i think the all-star was a fluke year

but yes, in that case Turner will be the starting SG unless i sign someone or get someone that can start at the two in the trades...The young MJ still has wayyyys to go, i only drafted him 'cause MJ asked no, actually i drafted him cause there was no one good left anyways, he's the best project out of those "undrafted" prospects

Sit wrote:Blazers ain't bad. What's my chances of starting?

Jerryd Bayless (Y) i bet Lamrock wants to be traded for you

I did it tonight. Held 6 foot 5 shooter to 4 first half points and 0 fourth quarter points. Remember I told you I held him scoreless for an entire second half after he hit 7 three pointers? Well tonight I shut him down except third quarter when the team wanted to fall back into a 2-3 zone and the dude hit 3 wide open three pointers to get his team back into game and lead... but I hit back to back threes to tie it up. We ended up losing by 5 (down 3 with less than 10 seconds left). But I earned my stripes again... he doesn't like playing against me much. :P

2011 NBA Draft: Draft Night Transactions

Another NBA draft brought another flurry of trade activity, with three seperate deals involving 6 teams and a total of 9 different players occuring.

Deals are listed below in no particular order

1. Timberwolves - Rockets Deal
Timberwolves Trade: Jonny Flynn, Hassan Whiteside
Rockets Trade: Luis Scola, Jan Vesely

The Minnesota Timberwolves gave affirmation to their number two overall pick in last year's draft - John Wall, by sending away their 6th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft - Jonny Flynn to clear up the point guard jam they had. In addition, they will also send away their 31st overall pick of last year's draft, power forward/center Hassan Whiteside. They will get a much desired upgrade at the power forward spot in the form of Luis Scola to backup Kevin Love while another 2010 draftee Jan Vesely is a project that could prove to be a valuable trade asset.

For the Houston Rockets, the addition of Jonny Flynn probably means the last we see of Aaron Brooks, who has chosen to test the Free Agency this summer. Flynn will provide much of the same that Brooks did, except he can do it better, and he is only 22 years old. It is a tough call to trade away Scola, but with the addition of Antawn Jamison last season via trade and their drafting of Arizona big man Martti Must, Scola has become abundant goods for the Rockets. The addition of Hassan Whiteside means that there is finally someone that can somewhat allow Yao Ming to have a tiny bit more of rest time.

Grade for Minnesota: B-
Grade for Houston: B+

2. Heat - Grizzlies Deal
Heat Trade: Mario Chalmers
Grizzlies Trade: Jerome Dyson, 2012 1st round pick (Memphis)

The Heat basically cancels out their blunder of giving Mario Chalmers a 5 year extension that's worth $54.9 Million last season with this trade. They get back a filler in Jerome Dyson, and more importantly, gain a possible lottery pick in the 2012 NBA Draft from the generous Memphis Grizzlies. Plus, they have some cap space to work with now in the upcoming Free Agency in this offseason. Pat Riley is a genius.

What more needs to be said for the Grizzlies? They gain a decent, but overpaid player to backup Ricky Rubio at the point, and gave up a 1st round pick in return. Plain stupid.

Grade for Miami: A
Grade for Memphis: D

3. Wizards - Warriors Trade
Wizards Trade: Andray Blatche, Tim Ohlbrecht
Warriors Trade: Brevin Knight

Aside from gaining cap flexibility and to get rid of a triple double whore in Andray Blatche, there really isn't any logic behind the Wizards' most recent transaction. Brevin Knight is old and washed up, and is only capable of acting as a mentor at this point. Not that Gilbert Arenas will listen anyway.

For the Warriors, they gain a solid backup (even if he's an idiotic dick) for Andris Biedrins and Anthony Randolph in Andray Blatche for virtually nothing in return. Tim Ohlbrecht is a project that could provide the Warriors with 6 fouls if needed.

Grade for Washington: C-
Grade for Golden State: B+

Good trade for Houston, but from Brooks to Flynn is a slight downgrade for them.

They are around the same in the game  Flynn has much more potential and comes at a cheaper price

Yes...i hate to go against the Rockets now, after dealing with Yao and Jamison I have you and Whiteside to take care of.... :x

Chapter 13

"Chicago?" Melo answered with a laugh "Do you guys even have the cap space?"
"If you make a commitment, we will clear out immediately for you" Lai replied "But it better be a sure commitment"
Melo laughed even harder "Clear out? You mean trade my buddy away after signing him for one year and expect me to play under that youngster Derrick Rose?"
"No thanks, Dwyane told me all about you"
"No! Thats not..." Lai protested, but his words were cut off. Anthony had hung up.

"Fuck"

✧✧✧✧✧

With Melo refusing to even hear offers from Chicago and Dwyane Wade's trade requests getting stronger, Lai had a tough time deciding on how to improve the team.
He did contact the 'other' free agent prize Dirk Nowitzki, but the former MVP's preference is to remain in Dallas. Talks with Tracy McGrady, JR Smith and Jason Richardson also hit brick walls for various reasons.

"So, have you gotten some deals planned yet?" Wade's agent had came in for yet another meeting to push for a trade "Or do we have to go public and ask for teams to contact you"
"Like you haven't already" Lai thought to himself, he had been getting dozens of low ball offers on a daily basis
"We do have somethings that might be possible"replied Lai and handed over a sheet "See what you think of these destinations"
Wade's Agent read through the list and laughed "No, no, and guess what, no"
Lai was beginning to feel irritated, but kept his cool and asked, somewhat mockingly "So, what has the great Dwyane Wade changed his mind to this time?"
"My client has decided on this team, I don't care how low ball the deal has to be" the Agent replied, snickering in the process "Oh, and you better get it done within this week"
"Two weeks, one is too short to get anything going"
"One, no discussion" the Agent boldly stated as he walked out of the room "Trust me, you do not want this to get ugly"

✧✧✧✧✧

It's been 5 days since Wade's agent made the ridiculous demands and Lai has been working non-stop as he tried to negociate a half decent deal to compile with the trade request.
"He's well worth it, I tell you" Lai was attempting to pursuade the other team's GM "He did make the All-Star Team in 2010 didn't he?"
"No, I'm not giving away Joakim Noah alongside Wade"
"There is no way I'm taking on that contract"

Lai just finished a call as Byron Scott came into the room "Hey Leo, still working on that deal?"
"No shit, Sherlock" Lai sighed "If I knew that he was going to be such a pain in the ass I would never have signed him in the first place"
"Well, too late for that"
"I know, so what are you here for?"
"Just want you to know that Turner and Deng had another fight"
"What? Again?" Lai groaned "When did it happen"
"Just now, those two showed up at the gym for workouts, before we knew it they were having a brawl" Scott replied "You need to get rid of one of them, the team is going to break apart with those two."
"Believe me, I'm trying" Lai said "Problem is everybody wants to rip us off"
"Well, is there anyone that is less rip off than others? We don't really have a choice here"
"There is one that I'm pondering, but it'll basically get us back to scratch again"
"Let me see the proposal" Scott read the deal "You are right but it's not that bad"
"Better than some others at least" Lai sighed "What do you think?"
Scott thought for a second "I'll say do it if you can, but you are the general manager, I trust your decision."

A brief moment of silence passed by as Lai gathered his thoughts, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had made his decision.

"Lets do it"

5'6" v 6'5" is like 6'4" v 6'9". You better watch out Martti Must. :P I'm holding you to 0 points.

Valor, you gotta post this match up. :P

And also... can't wait to see what kind of deal you come up with. Sort of hoping it's not for a superstar as it would take all of my enjoyment out of the team.
