Three All-Stars Isn't Enough In Orlando As Carter Drops 43 On Sixers In Debut• Wednesday October 28, 2009: Amway Arena - Orlando, FLRecapORLANDO (AP) -- Tonight the Sixers donned their retro jerseys for the first time in many years. They will become their primary jerseys, but tonight they certainly didn't take the team back to the days of Dr. J or the Barkley. Instead, it looks like a "not-so-dominant" era may begin with these throwbacks. In front of their home crowd, the Magic demolished the 76ers on day two of the NBA's regular season tipoff. Although most of Philadelphia's players struggled, Andre Iguodala remained consistent throughout the night. It looks like he can finally take on the role of being the 76ers' superstar, and lead them in a way he never has. This game also marked Allen Iverson's return to the Sixers since he last played with the team in 2006. Even a veteran like him couldn't match up with the likes of four NBA All-Stars though. Vince Carter absolutely exploded in his debut with the Magic, while Dwight Howard and Marcin Gortat dominated on the boards. The starters were solid for both teams, but Orlando was just too much for Philly to handle. The 76ers will play their first home game on Friday night, as they'll host the Milwaukee Bucks who still have yet to hit the court this season.
