Awesome. Just as corny as I imagined it to be. :)

Andersen looks 10 times bigger than he does in real life.

Hope everyone likes the signing! Next weekly recap up in a day or two! If the season really starts to go down the toilet, I may consider taking a quicker route with the presentation, going with something like this. (WIth more depth, pics and such)

I'm liking the signing, Patty Mills is I think is a gem in the game and can really help with your point guard problems, liking that recap style too.

Patty can provide a punch. Maybe trading Jarrett if Patty surges?

Week 5 In Review

December 7, 2010 - A very promising start to the week saw us win our third straight game, and improve to 8-12, good for 9th in the conference. Despite a career night from DeMar DeRozan, we lost to the Wizards, then closed out the week with a loss in Chicago to put us back six games under .500. Nonetheless, the week was encouraging, with the team breaking even despite playing three of four games on the road. Patty Mills averaged just 2.6 points and an assist in his three games here, but he is expected to be brought back for a second ten-day deal.

December 1, 2010 - In a game that saw multiple lead changes, clutch plays and big performances, the home team Raptors eventually got the best of the Wizards, winning 122-117. The first quarter was controlled by the Wizards before a pair of Raptor treys put then within two and gave them momentum into the second. That momentum shifted back-and-forth all night, and the two teams were tied at 113 with two minutes left. Hedo Turkoglu took control in those last moments, and won the game for his Raptors.

December 2, 2010 - Joe Johnson has actually looked somewhat worthy of (half of) his big contract, leading the team in scoring and assists, while averaging career highs nearly across the board. Unfortunately, the Hawks continue to struggle. Without the services of the injured Al Horford (broken hand), the Raptors were able to upset the home team Hawks for their third straight victory. The Hawks, who went 53-29 last season, fall back to .500.

DeRozan Scores Career High 26, But Arenas Leads Wizards To Victory

DeRozan's career night was not enough. | Agent Nine was a GUNNER! (get it?)

December 4, 2010 - Three days after losing to the Craptors in T-Dot, we were able to defeat them on our home floor. Second-year swingman DeMar DeRozan had a career high 26 points, but Gilbert Arenas had 32 points, and more importantly, the win. The first quarter was closely contested, with the teams trading the lead. Midway through the second, we made a run to take a double digit lead. A pair of rim-rattling dunks by DeRozan kept the Raptors in the game, and they entered the half down just 8.

Josh Howard sank a three to open the second half, and that would set the tone. The Raptors struggled to get any stops, and our lead got as high as 17. In the fourth, DeRozan and Andrea Bargnani attempted to get the Raps back in it with a run, but never got closer than within 7 points. We held our ground, and went on to win it, 107-95. We improved to 7-11, while they end their three game winning streak and fall to 8-13. Patty Mills scored 3 points and dished one assist in his Raptors debut. Superstar!

NBA.net wrote:Rose Leads Bulls To Rout Of Raptors

November 27, 2010 - The Raptors opened the game with an 8-0 run, but after that, they didn't stand a chance. While their team struggled on offense, the Bulls flourished, as Derrick Rose led his Bulls to an easy victory, improving them to .500 again. The Bulls have been suffering a disappointing season despite signing half of the Utah Jazz, but fortunately, they were matched up against the Raptors. Toronto fell to 8-14, and did not get more than 13 points from any of their players.

While the focus has been on the Heat (and rightfully so, as they are on pace to be the best team ever), the Magic have also been stellar, jumping out to a 16-4 start. Offseason addition Chris Paul has expertly ran the Magic offense, in which six players average double-digit scoring. Paul may not be getting the Miami Thrice's press, but don't be surprised to see him hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy at the end of the year.
Image Tim Duncan (SAS): 18.7 PPG, 11.2 RPG, 1.9 BPG, 26.6 PER, .600% TS (Spurs: 12-6)
Yet again, The Big Fundamental has been quietly enjoying a sleeper season. The 34 year old has been almost as productive as ever, averaging a double-double and leading the Spurs to another good (albeit demonic) record.

Turk has been arguably my most important player actually. I've been running the offense though him as opposed to Jack and DeRozan lately, and it works pretty well. Great passer, and can create his own shot somewhat. No plans to deal him... yet.

Two-Time MVP Steve Nash Dealt To Portland

Image December 10, 2010 - Portland Trailblazers general manager Rich Cho announced today that the Blazers have acquired two-time most valuable player Steve Nash from the Suns. In exchange for the Canadian point guard, the Blazers sent disgruntled swingman Rudy Fernandez, expiring big man Joel Przybilla, veteran point guard Andre Miller (also expiring) and a 2011 second round draft pick.

Following the off-season departure of Amar'e Stoudemire, the Suns have gone from a Western Conference Finals appearance to the bottom of the Western Conference, posting a 7-15 record. The 36 year old Nash did not like the final years of his career being spent on a rebuilding squad, and made a private trade request. Nash has averaged a very solid 14.8 points and 9 assists per game this season, despite the Suns' struggles.

The primary acquisition for the Suns is veteran point guard Andre Miller. Miller, two years younger than Nash, has averaged 12.8 points, 6.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game this season, but his fit in the Blazers' offense has long been questioned, due to his lack of three-point shooting range. Joining him is disgruntled Spanish swingman Rudy Fernandez, whose NBA career has declined since his very promising rookie season. The 25 year old has averaged just 4.4 points per game in very limited minute this year, but still been coveted by several other teams, including the Knicks, Celtics and Bulls. Przybilla's contract is expected to be bought out by the Suns, allowing his return to the Blazers.

NBA.net correspondent Ken Chalmers breaks down the deal:

Prior to this trade, the Blazers were 17-6, good for first place in the Western Conference. With their record and Oden's dominant play, many considered the Blazers to be legit contenders to win the championship. As good as these guys were, they couldn't beat the Heat. The addition of Nash gives the team a third superstar with Roy and Oden (who join fringe all-star LaMarcus Aldridge and uber-efficient role player Nicolas Batum in a starting five to die for) and makes them a full-blown super-team. Andre Miller has been very solid for the Blazers, but his lack of three-point shooting makes him a less-than-ideal fit in Nate McMillan's offense. Getting rid of a cancer in Rudy was a good thing, and Przybilla is reportedly working on a buyout so he could return to the Blazers next month. As risky as it is to break up a team on pace for 60 wins, this deal was a no-brainer.
Blazers Trade Grade: A

As soon as Amar'e opted to sign elsewhere, you knew this day would come. The Suns were wasting the last of Nash's prime, and while the Suns have the league's third worst record now, Nash would've probably cost them some lottery balls this season. In exchange for Nash, the Suns receive a very solid veteran point guard in Miller, an intriguing young player in Fernandez and cap relief next season. While Portland definitely got the better end of the deal, the market for Nash was surprisingly small due to the NBA's contenders being set at the PG position, and the Suns acquired a couple decent assets in addition to a very serviceable rental stand-in.
Suns Trade Grade: B

Projected Blazers Rotation: S. Nash | B. Roy | N. Batum | L. Aldridge | G. Oden (J. Bayless, M. Camby, W. Matthews)
Projected Suns Rotation: A. Miller | J. Richardson | J. Childress | H. Warrick | R. Lopez (G. Hill, G. Dragic, R. Fernandez, J. Dudley, C. Frye)

Not that good trade for the Suns!
They give their best player and get a solid PG but way worse than Nash, and two bench warmers!
Though the cap relief they will have is the only + in this

Portland will get a great PG to matchup with the great young core they have!

'Billa is going back to Portland. Overall, this makes the trailblazers a scary team, and the Suns a 8th seed contender.

Blazers are now solid. This is a somewhat good trade for the Suns, as they can just endure the season with more losses, and wait til the draft lottery.
