The Lakers were on a longer break. I had the Knicks game, but the Lakers hadn't played so far.

Redd's triple-double in the Garden overshadows Sit's NY debut
12/10/11 - Bucks (127) - Knicks (117)

    Image
The Knicks tried both Sit and Sessions on Redd, but neither one could stop Redd.

Michael Redd was all business in the Garden against the new-look Knicks. He finished with a triple-double to carry the Bucks over the Knicks in OT. Last year, Redd lit up the Garden with 44.

Redd finished with 43 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Brandon Jennings was also big with 23 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Andrew Bogut finished with 22 points and Hakim Warrick had 16, both added 9 boards.

The Bucks used a 7-player rotation the whole game, with 4 players playing over 42 minutes, led by Hakim Warrick with 47.

The Knicks were led by Eddy Curry and new addition William Sit. Sit hit many clutch shots and completely overshadowed this year's top rookie Stephon Mayberry. Sit finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists with 3 steals while Mayberry had just 9 points. He did however grab 9 boards and dish out 6 assists. Eddy Curry had 30 big points for the Knicks.

After a big third quarter rally by the Knicks, they had secured a 4-point lead. But Michael Redd wouldn't have any of that. He had 8 points and 3 assists in the final 4 minutes of the quarter. Kyle Korver hit two big jumpers with over a minute to go, turning a 2-point deficit into a 2-point lead.

The score stayed the same before Will Sit drew a foul and tied the game from the line. Brandon Jennings kicked it out to Michael Redd on the final possession, but he missed the potential game-winning three over Sit.

In OT, Redd hit 2 threes quickly and the Knicks didn't get much closer after that. Sit's jumper with 48 tics left narrowed the lead to 5, but Michael Redd and Brandon Jennings were clutch from the stripe to close out the game.

Knicks defense - still sucking.

Sit kept the game close with many clutch shots, including this one.

Thanks Andrew. :)

I just received word from Sit. He stated:

I would like to say thanks to all of my supporters and fans. The Knicks made the right move to acquire me. They now have a real leader. Mayberry is good but I am better. If he doesn't cooperate, then we should ship his ass out of New York. That is all.

Bucks lose thriller against the Bobcats.
12/29/11 - Bucks (138) - Bobcats (145)

    Image
Marbury has rejuvenated as the starting PG of the Bobcats.

It took 3 extra periods, but the Bobcats were finally able to shake off the Bucks to win at home 145-138 in the longest game this year.

The game featured many heroic performances. Andrew Bogut had 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Hakim Warrick had 31 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Brandon Jennings and Michael Redd both had 25, Jennings also had 12 assists and 8 rebounds. He did however commit a career-high 12 turnovers. Kyle Korver had 19 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, hitting some big shots down the stretch.

But more impressive were some of the Bobcats players. Tyson Chandler had a career-high 35 points and 25 rebounds. He also swatted away 6 blocks and was a very efficient 14-17 from the field. Raja Bell scored a career-high 41 points, going 5-7 from deep. Despite the fact that the Bobcats front court of Chandler, Wallace and Green combined for 45 rebounds, they still allowed the Bucks to grab 25 offensive boards.

In the end of regulation, Brandon Jennings missed a potential game-winner. In the end of the first overtime, Michael Redd missed a potential game-winner. The two were a combined 3-27 from deep, Redd going 2-18. As a team, the Bucks were 9-44.

In the end of the the second OT, the Bobcats had possession. Stephon Marbury shot a three and missed. Tyson Chandler grabbed the offensive board and missed a dunk at the buzzer, only one of his 3 misses on the night.

In the third OT, the Bucks got off to a 4-point lead. The Bobcats tied the game thanks to a few jumpers from Raja Bell. Brandon Jennings committed his 12th turnover and Gerald Wallace scored on the other end. Stephon Marbury hit his only three with 45 tics left to put the Cats up by 5.

The Bucks wouldn't score anymore after that, missing 4 three-pointers.

Sounded like a nail-biter there, tough loss though. Huge game by some of your players, but those missed game winners really hurt you.

35 points, 25 boards for Tyson? Wow man. Some great performances by Bogut, Warrick, almost a quadruple-double by Jennings.

not really a quadruple double, unless you're counting turnovers.

Tyson Chandler seems to be really good in all video games (look at my franchise! except he's out with injuries a lot)
I like the way you did box scores. do you mind if I try doing something like that?

Tyson Chandler is a beast! Never experienced a performance like that in Live 08. Jennings must lessen his turnovers.

z02, you can use it. ;)

Many of those 12 are Live 06 turnovers, just when you deflect a pass out of bounds.

During the 3rd OT, I was like please don't crash, please don't crash. glad that it didn't, one of the best games I've ever played, sucks that I lost, but still.

I'm surprised no-one mentioned Redd's 2-18 3PT shooting. :D

Oh, I noticed but it is normal for Redd to miss like 10 3s in a row in Live 2003 so I thought it was like that in all games.

Really, 06 counts those as turnovers? That sucks.

That's been contributing to my higher turnover numbers as of late as I've been playing the passing lanes a bit more. Annoying, but usually it just means my point guards might rack up 5-7 turnovers in some games which isn't too unrealistic.
