Houndy66, Thanks man

Axel13, Possibly the most realistic part of this dynasty.

shadowgrin, (Y)

Sit, Not even sure if he's in 2K10

john26, Wow. Durant + that 2007 squad (sans Bargs) would be perennial contenders. Turrible.

dare, Yeah, he was one of my favorite Jailblazers.

Mark., Yeah, ratings wise the Grizzlies won the trade, but I figured Amir+Belinelli+2nd is about Thabeet's current asking price. Not bad for what should be the starting Center for the future.

Clutch, Not using Xtranormal for behind the scenes due to its limitations, but fret not, it certainly hasn't been phased out. (Y)

November 30, 2010 - One month down, five to go... After a somewhat promising start, this season is looking to be a fiasco of Lupe proportions. With the team having twice as many losses as wins, the countdown to the draft lottery begins. With predictable losses to Orlando and the surprising Indiana Pacers, the losing streak hit five. Even with the addition of Hasheem Thabeet, the team was still lazy and turrible. A promising upset win against the now defensively challenged Bobcats (Calderon and Ellis is the worst defensive backcourt ever!) and narrow win over the Suns were highlights of an otherwise dismal first month of the season.

November 22, 2010 - The Magic marched into the Air Canada Centre and set the tone early, dominating the first quarter with 38 points. after a complacent second quarter, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and the Magic were too much as they easily held off the home team Raptors to win 114-103. Former Magic players Hedo Turkoglu and Shaquille O'Neal had solid games, with 21 and 15 points, respectively. The loss, Toronto's fourth straight, drops them to 4-10.

Granger Leads Indy To Win Over Raptors, 9-4 Record

Former Suns teammates have good chemistry. | My boy Danny Granger kicks so much ass.

November 24, 2010 - Our beautiful start to the season continues with a win in Toronto. Behind Danny Granger's 23 and 7 and Roy Hibbert's double-double, we defeated the struggling Craptors. Toronto opened the game with a 13-2 run, but a timeout led to a run of our own to put us up three to end the quarter. This momentum continued into the second with our lead reaching double-digits. Andrea Bargnani hit a buzzer beater three to make it a nine point game at the half.

We won the game in the third. Holding off an early Raptors run, Granger and Troy Murphy caught fire, and Leandro Barbosa was shooting the Raptors out of the game. We entered the fourth up 13, and hung on to win it 99-90. We improved to 9-4, staying atop the Central Division, and in third place. Danny has got to be in MVP talks. The loss was Toronto's fifth straight. In his debut, Hasheem Thabeet had 5 points and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes.

November 25, 2010 - Leading for the majority of the game, and in dire need of a win, the Raptors did not want to let their opportunity to defeat Jose Calderon and the Bobcats slip away. Leading by nine at the half, they could not pull away with the Bobcats sticking around for the whole second half. A Stephen Jackson three tied the game up for the first time since the first quarter with 34 seconds left in the game. A pair of failed game-winner attempts left Toronto the ball with five second left. A double-teamed Andrea Bargnani dished it to an open DeMar DeRozan who nailed a mid-range jumper at the buzzer to win the game.

The underachieving Celtics got a near triple-double from Rajon Rondo and 21 points on efficient shooting from Paul Pierce in the win. The game was a blowout from the start, with Boston winning the first quarter 32-20 and never looking back. Bargnani led the losing cause with 23 points and 8 rebounds.

The Suns fall to 5-12, "good" for last place in the Western Conference standings. Nash has reportedly requested a trade to a contender, as the Suns are clearly in a rebuilding mode. The Raptors finish the month on a good note, and improve to 6-12.

Bron's core numbers may be down, but his efficiency has only improved. The Heat are by far the best team in the league, and are looking to be by far the best offensive team ever as well. LeBron is the driving force, and there should be many of these to come for the King.
Image Greg Oden (POR): 17.3 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 26.9 PER, .645% TS (Blazers: 15-4)
Finally healthy (for now), and having cut down on fouls, Oden has been living up to his #1 pick promise. The Center is enjoying career highs across the board, and his Blazers are #1 in the Western Conference.

The Celtics seem to have picked up where they left off. The defending conference champions were a pedestrian 8-8 before facing off against LeBron James and the Miami Thrice. However, they once again have saved their energy to thwart LeBron. The 15-0 Heat were a game away from beating the 93-94 Rockets' undefeated streak to start the season, but the deep Celtics used a well-rounded attack to edge the Heat in an epic nailbiter. Maybe next year, Bron Bron?

6-12. Not exactly the best start to a season, but it's probably acceptable, considering your team has 1 or 2 good defensive players, with a few inconsistent offensive players to go along with them.

Haha good call with the Ed Daivs McShitass. How did Thabeet play during the week? I like how your 6-12 makes this pretty realistic and makes each win more enjoyable. I would like to see Derozan start leading the team a little more, although his numbers are pretty solid as is.

NOVEMBER RECAP PART 1

December 1, 2010 - November 2010 is history, and our Raptors are a dismal 6-12. On the bright side, we aren't in last! After a very exciting summer, this season has been an interesting one thus far. The Miami Heat "super team" has massacred the rest of the league, Greg Oden is healthy and the Timberwolves are only three games below .500! The Pacers and Clippers are also on pace to make the playoffs, but I don't see it happening. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past month, here's how the first month of the season went:

Image
Take out that 5 game losing streak and we're only one game below .500!

LEAGUE STANDINGS

Image Image
The Atlantic Division is full of underachievers, with only one team above .500...

The Atlantic Division, home to our Raptors, has been turrible so far. The defending East champion Celtics are the only team above .500 and in position to make the post-season. Trailing the Celtics are the Sixers, who are likely looking at another bad season, Amar'e Stoudemire's disappointing Knicks, the Craptors and the New Jersey Nets. While New Jersey's current record is four wins better than it was last season at this time, they still hold the league's worst record.

Image Image
The Bulls improved in the off-season, yet Danny Granger's Pacers lead the Central for some reason.

Most people, including myself, doubt the Pacers can sustain this strong play. Having ended the month with a pair of losses, I think this Danny Granger-led team will be lucky to compete for the eighth seed. The Bucks and Bulls, two teams who improved in the off-season, seem to be enduring some growing pains, but should compete for the division title. The post-LeBron Cavs are turrible, and the Jameer Nelson era has not gotten off to such a hot start in Motown.

Image Image
Home to arguably the league's top two teams, the Southeast Division is the strongest division.

The Miami Heat lead the league's strongest division. Containing two contenders in the Heat and Magic, and playoff shoe-ins in the Hawks and Bobcats, the Southleast has become the Southbeast. The Heat and Magic are essentially locks for the top two seeds in the conference, while the Bobcats, fielding their new & improved backcourt of Jose Calderon and Monta Ellis, should compete for fifth. The Hawks have been underwhelming, but should have another solid year. Meanwhile, John Wall's Wizards are a mess, and Gilbert Arenas is on the trade block.

Image Image
Expect the top 2 picks in the 2007 draft to fight for the division title all season long.

The strongest division in the West, the Northwest Division is home to four potential contenders. The finally healthy Greg Oden is leading his Blazers to the top seed in the West, but superstar Kevin Durant's Thunder should give them a run for their money. The Jazz are looking solid with Al Jefferson in tow, while the Nuggets have been off to a poor start, losing a couple nail-biters at the buzzer, but should make the playoffs. The Wolves have overachieved to 7 wins so far, but are winless on the road, and will still be lucky to win 30 games.

Image Image
The not-so-highly anticipated WCF rematch turned out to be a 114-77 drubbing of the Suns.

With Amar'e Stoudemire's defection to the Knicks, the Suns have been decimated, and a Steve Nash trade is likely on its way. The Pacific division is led by the defending champion Lakers, but the other LA team, led by ROY-favorite Blake Griffin, is also having a solid season. The young Warriors and Kings appear to be a year or two away from making the playoffs.

Image Image
The Texas triangle continues to dominate the Southwest Division.

The Spurs have slowed down considerable after a 6-0 start, but still lead the declining Southwest Division. The division, as per usual, is led by the Texas Triangle. The Rockets are playing fairly well, and the Mavs have recovered well from a dismal start to the season. Amir Johnson and the Memphis Grizzlies are looking to make another run at the 8 seed. The dismal Hornets will likely be in the Southwest division basement for some time.

If you somehow packaged Hedo and another decent player for a 25+ PPG scorer, you'd be in great shape. Your team is basically just a supporting cast right now, and a leader would help them be much more successful. (Y)

Sometime you gotta give in to the pressure! :)

I actually could use a real back-up point guard. I usually have Turkoglu back up Jack, but sometimes I keep them in together too long, and have to put Barbosa at the point. (N) However, there's only one spot left, so its either Patty or Damon.
