I've bee a big loyal fan of the player evar since he was in high school! I root whichever team he ends up with!

Kobe Bryant vs. Joel Anthony.

Who wins at curling?

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Mon Jul 12, 2010 3:44 pm

Joel Anthony no doubt.
Joel Anthony is parallel in talent with Wilt Chamberlain but has the motivation of Rasheed Wallace. He only does work when he feels like it.
He's canadien. He knows that shite.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Mon Jul 12, 2010 4:46 pm

Joel Anthony? I have him on my Bulls association on 2K10 at the Bulls! He would be a nice backup for Noah. What about the possible Pg reserves?

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

I wouldn't mind Livingston, depending on the price. Will Bynum would be a good pickup but he's a restricted free agent and I'm guessing the Pistons would match the offer sheet.

rotoworld via fanhouse says Brewer "could be poised" to rejoin the Jazz if they don't match the contract W Mattews

and during his press conference, Korver did say he was recruiting Brewer to come to the Bulls

Andrew What is the good price for Livingston??

according to my calculations of the bulls payroll and guesstimations of contacts given out to the Boozer, Asik, Korver... the bulls have ~$14 mil to spend
$7 mil if Orlando does not match the Bulls offer to Redick

Asik almost guarantees no Joel Anthony. sorry fan club

Anything from the minimum to, say, $2.5 mil tops? I don't expect they'd offer him too much, if there's any interest there.

Kyle Korver, who was introduced as the newest addition in Chicago on Tuesday, is trying to recruit Ronnie Brewer to join him.

Korver was lured to the Bulls by former Jazz teammate Carlos Boozer.

"[Boozer] reached out to me and we talked about it for sure," Korver said. "And I was texting Ronnie Brewer earlier, so we're trying to start the Chicago Jazz here. I don't know if you knew that."

If the Magic match the offer sheet J.J. Redick signed with the Bulls, Chicago is expected to go after Brewer.

Livingston's out, he's agreed to a deal with the Bobcats. Maybe it's worth pursuing Bynum, sign him to an offer sheet and hopefully the Pistons don't match it.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Will Bynum should probably be starting for Detroit, so I think they'd match any offer that the Bulls might make. C.J. Watson could be OK or Jason Williams.

The experience of the White Chocolate is something the team might need and he may help rose as well in the creative part of his game

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

He wouldn't be a terrible option for a year at the minimum, playing somewhere between 10 and 20 minutes per game as he did for the Magic. I wouldn't mind that.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

i think the BULLS should sign a better SG. Korver & Reddick just play like 6th man. Better options are avaliable in FA pool. And their cap room is still 14M, am i wrong?
So i have questions about C position.
Noah is cool for that. Omer Asik is still noob and fresh for NBA. And his fundemental is bad. Also terrible FT shooter & defender. They must sign or trade better PF/C player. Or what's next for Brad Miller ?
PF is well guarenteed. Boozer/Gİbson
C is half-problem. Noah/Miller/Asik
SF is avarage. Deng/Johnson
SG is a huge problem. Korver/Reddick?
PG is nearly guarenteed. Rose/Law?

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

C is pretty good actually,Noah is a good Center, not really a scorer, but hes a great rebounder and a nice defender, they could use a nice backup though.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Given the money they've already shelled out on Korver and Redick, I don't see them spending a lot of money on another shooting guard or swingman. Someone like McGrady at the veteran's minimum might be a decent short term solution for a bit of added depth. Also, Miller is a free agent.

Looks like Orlando are going to match the Redick offer.

Let's get Brewer!!

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Jul 16, 2010 5:46 pm

Pippen is named Chicago Bulls Ambassador.
Which means that he will be active on the team's events and present on every home game.
Not sth that important ,but worth mentioning

Good to see Pip involved. (Y)

Shame about Redick but the silver lining is they've got that cap space to work with again.

It'd be much more fitting than Utah Jazz but ah well :)

Nice pickup, the Bulls may not quite be top echelon with the Magic/Celts/Heat (once they learn each other), but they're right on that line (which they've seemed to be at for a few years now) where one decent pickup or a few breaks fall their way and we could see them go far.

Chicago couldn't offer the chance to compete for a starting gig like the Bobs did. oh well. would have been a nice story to bring him back to his Chicago. best of luck to him. the bulls do need a reliable PG to give that 15-20 minutes off the bench. consider that Rose is the only guy who can "dribble". not counting Brewer, who apparently was a point forward while he was in college

Happy with the Brewer acquisition, as well as the contract he was given

according to yahoo, PG's still available.. or at least worth mentioning:
Bynum, Atkins, Cj Watson, Earl Watson, Marcus Williams, Arroyo, Kevin Ollie, Anthony JOhnson, Jason Williams

Ollie & Anthony Johnson seem like the steady, veteran, non exciting guys that management would want

i'd be happy with Earl Watson. awesome defender. Jason Williams i'll be content with too

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Good to see Brewer brought on board. Redick would've been nice to well and truly fill the need for three point shooting but they've still got Korver so all is not lost.

Shame Miller has gone to the Rockets, he's a solid backup for Noah
