But my point was I wouldn't like it to happen.
Why? If they're good enough to get 70+ wins they'll breeze through the playoffs

Closest to 70+ was Dallas back in the magical 8th seed Golden State run in the playoffs.. out in the first round. haha

Valor, because everybody would hate the Heat and there would be too much pressure on them to win the title.

i already hate the heat. i have hated them since they flopped their way to a championship

The Heat offense is granted, if LeBron does end up with them, but can't say the same defensively, even Wade has his usual brain farts that he forgets to play defense and lets his man go past him and I doubt Chris Bosh is a defensive monster down in the post. Mario Chalmers isn't even comparable to Ron Harper.
And most importantly the Bulls had two expansion teams come in just seven years after four expansion teams had come in, and during those seven years at least five bust drafts.

Don't worry, I won't. I've come to terms with the fact you're more often senile than have moments of clarity like the one above.

SamAmicoNBA Source had knowledge of the conference call between James, Wade, Bosh. Story coming.

Here's hoping for a third Cleveland tourism video.

We don't even have Lebron yet, and people still starting to hate the team.
Anyways, landing Lebron is DEFINITELY A MUST and has to be done at ANY COST for the Heat. There are no other options if you can land Lebron. It just doesn't matter if your cap is fucked up or not. From that point on, you don't let money fill the roster, but the core and a chance to win will do the things themselves.

here's my contribution to this thread.

I've hated the Heat since 2006.

This only exacerbates it. It wouldn't be quite as bad if Miami actually gave a shit about basketball.

Not necessarily, a duo of Wade and Bosh is hardly shabby and they'd have the cap space to round out the team a little better.

anyone else boycotting the decision show?
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:37 am
Nah, I'm watching it for the remote chance there's a Dewey beats Truman kind of result, and just to see how much of a dick James is in the show. Also, I'm working on some updated rosters for 2K (using an updated roster from Operation Sports as the basis). Simmed a season. Heat won 64 games, with LBJ winning MVP (25-8-9) and Wade (22-3-6) and Bosh (19/12/3) all being all-starters. They lost in 7 to the Thunder in the finals though.

Seems ESPN Australia actually picked it up, so I think I'll give it a look.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:49 am
On SportsCenter, Tim Legler just suggested that LeBron will be able to cut back on his scoring and average a triple double in Miami. I guess Wade and Bosh won't be rebounding or passing the ball at all.

"My sources say Miami. But the top two teams are Cleveland and Miami. But you can't count out NYK AND Chicago!"
Brilliant analysis!

Not boycotting: its train wreck tv and i cant look away.
Just hope he's not going Miami, its a bad move on so many levels.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:04 am
But the Clippers are a close 5th longshot of high probability.

It's still the ESPN talking heads rambling about everything.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:14 am
they backtracked and said probably announcing in the first 22 minutes...probably means they can still pussy out.
