I just wish Lebron has the class like Pierce and Dirk. The more he becomes a jerk, the more I am hating him.

I wonder if he enjoys it, thinks this is what people want, or is just taking the piss.

Seeing how egocentric he is, I'm pretty sure he enjoys it.

He's always been this way though.

He's been given the ultimate opportunity to troll everyone. He could announce on Thursday that he's coming back to the Cavs for one year and doing this again next summer.

Can't pass that up, bro. Gotta keep busy somehow.

Why he can't just sign with the team he wants and let the team makethe announcement and just call a Press Conference later?

What benefit will give him 3 more days of attention and a TV program?

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

He can't officially sign anywhere until the 8th anyway.

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

yes,but is there any point to make a TV show about it?
We will learn it one way or another!
Will he has any money profit from this show?

No, that's just a case of enjoying the limelight.

Andrew, reckon we'll get the announcement on ESPN Australia?

says the guy with a kobe avatar? benji hasnt brainwashed me dammit! Kobe would do the same shit in this situation. He's alot of things, but humble he's not.

but OT: is it cocky for Lebron to do an hour long special announcing his pick? Well, no shit. Is it gonna be one of the highest rated basketball-oriented shows in the history of ESPN? Probably. I mean, not only do we have entire threads dedicated to this guy here, but he's the one everyone wants to know what he's doing. Back to back MVP and very possibly one of the top 3 "dominant" players in the league today? and he's only 25? Where he goes could easily change the face of the NBA and I'm ok with that.

Yeah Lebron seems to be enjoying the limelight (and not cancelling press conferences like D-Wade), but wouldn't you? I'm really not seeing a problem with this. I havent enjoyed watching basketball this much since the early and mid 90s. The landscape is changing, and its more intriguing to me than any Lakers team or Spurs team (despite liking Timmy D) or any other "dynasty" in my recent memory.

I'll go out on a limb and say, with Bosh now reportedly heading to the Heat, LBJ's 1-hr special on Thurs. will be to announce he'll be joining them. The three have talked, and the King has realized it's a golden opportunity and since he already makes silly money in endorsements (which would only increase tenfold if he joined Flash & CB4), he'll put ego aside and agree to sign with the Heat playing for peanuts in a dreamteam triumvirate that will be something unlike the NBA has ever seen.

Now THAT would be worth a 1-hr prime time spot.

I don't know about that. I don't think LeBron would be content with the MLE while two of his teammates are getting paid the max.

probably right... thing i will be most upset with is if he doesn't announce where he's going right off the bat and i'm stuck waiting through a 55 minute hommage/infomercial highlighting how great he is before he finally just says he's re-signing w/CLE in the last 5 mins

...to play for the Yankees, as previously speculated. The vital clue has been there all along, it's just been misinterpreted.

What the hell is he going to talk about for 1 hour?

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:40 am

It'll be a 10 minute introduction, 20 minute recap of the FA period, another 20 minutes of LeBron's NBA journey, then his announcement, then another 10 minutes of analysis about what this means for the planet.

To answer that, no, I wouldn't. Sure, I'm not a basketball superstar but I would much rather he be like Tim Duncan or John Stockton. Basically one of the best, but humble to the core.

But that's wishful thinking, Lebron has been ass sucked since highschool so humble just isn't in his vocabulary.

He made a documentary of the process like CB4 and D-Wade, so I guess he'll just show that and finish with 'btw, I'm going to Chicago/NY/Cleveland/Miami/NJ.'

I'm assuming it's Miami now seeing as NBA.com is saying right now that Bosh is most likely signing with the Heat and Wade is signing an extension. That sounds like a pretty awesome team !
