If a team doesn't have a pick in the draft, can they still trade one of their current players for a pick from another team during the draft?

Perhaps my question was misunderstood. What I meant was, e.g Bulls playing Celtics today and then again tomorrow?

An example from last season can be found on the Bulls Schedule. February 16th they played the Knicks at home, then February 17th they played the Knicks in New York.

With the possibility of these super-teams in the up coming season, don't you think its ridiculous for teams to be spending 2/3rs of their cap on 2-3 players. Do any of ya'll think a team can really go all the way with 2-3 amazing players and a bunch of D-Leaguers filling up the other 10/9 roster spots?
Allen Iverson passing on family values:

A.I.: son, what you doing there?
A.I.'s son: practicing my math for my test tommorow
A.I: practice? practice? we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test - practice. we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test, not the test - practice.

The Lakers (Pau, Kobe) and Celtics (Big 3 during their championship run) have done it and won the last 3 titles. No reason to believe it won't continue.

We all know the FA Battle Royale begins July 1st, but what day does it all end/have to be decided by?

July 8th is the earliest players can formally sign with teams, if that's what you mean.

Perhaps, but I reckon LeBron and co have pretty much already decided. I'd say we'll see the significant-but-not-superstar players have their negotiations drag out and signings delayed.

If the Heat sign-and-trade for Bosh using Beasley, can they afford to sign two max guys more? Like Wade and LeBron.

Not sure, but apparently D-Wade is "welcoming" Carlos Boozer. Not sure the Heat want Boozer and Bosh together. So I don't think Bosh is even going to Miami. But yeah, I'm pretty sure Beasley will be traded. Holy shit Miami is gonna be a MONSTER next year.

I read somewhere that the Free Agent market opens July 1, at 12:01 AM (ET I think?). What's the earliest FA signing in NBA history?

I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of players who have signed on the dotted line as soon as the moratorium has ended.

Phil89, It was Crawford before this last season. I think Emeka Okafor now holds that prestigious honor.

Revenue was up, players were demanding bigger salaries.
