great season nonetheless, espec. BJ and Bogut :applaud:

decisions decisions... Redd is probably the biggest/hardest choice to make; he walks and gets picked up by someone good? it could come back to haunt you; sign him and you risk losing out on a big time free agent (provided one jumps ship, which sometimes they don't) but at least you'd have a career Buck veteran ala the Truth in Boston

either way, looking fwd to seeing how you manage it all; also hoping Luc returns to the roster; he's a solid enough role-player for you

that is the fun thing about virtual dynasties... anything can happen, as you say

Yeah, the Celtics were far better. And even the fact that Rondo isn't as good as in real life, Rasheed is like 10 times better.

The Redd dilemma is a tough one. I've simulated with both scenarios, but no big free agent has emerged. And plus, I can re-sign him if no-one else is interested.

Luc will most likely return, plus he deserves a raise. But you'll just have to wait. :P

Redd was signed to a 6-year extension.

Bucks re-sign Redd and Mbah a Moute to long deals

The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed G Michael Redd and F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute to a 6-year and a 4-year deal respectively.

Both were key parts in the Bucks success this season. Redd was the teams third leading scorer with just under 20 a game and an All-Star. Redd has spent his entire career in Milwaukee.

Luc Mbah a Moute was a big part of the Bucks play early in the post-season, stepping in for the injured Thaddeus Young. Even with Young's return, Mbah a Moute kept playing great basketball off the bench.

On a related topic, the Bucks didn't re-sign Dan Gadzuric and Rafer Alston. They also granted Thaddeus Young's request to test the free agency.

The Bucks big hopes for the free agency backfired a bit, as Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Chris Bosh, Amar'e Stoudemire and the rest of the top free agents all re-signed with their respective teams.

The top free agents now are Jeff Green, Kelenna Azubuike, Peja Stojakovic, Shane Battier and Mike Dunleavy.

With the Knicks winning the lottery, Gallo could be on his way out.

NY Knicks will pick first, Toronto jumps to second.

The NY Knicks had the best chance to win the lottery and for the second straight season the team with the best odds did win.

New York won only 6 games this season (~17 in a 82-game season) and were hoping for a big splash in the FA market, but none of the big names jumped out of their contracts.

Toronto, who fought for a Playoff-spot at one point before losing the last 5 games of the season, jumped from the 8th spot to the second with recently re-signed Chris Bosh attending the lottery.

Charlotte jumped to third, having the 6th best odds, while Phoenix, LA Clippers and Oklahoma City dropped a few places.

The New York Knicks are expected to pick North Carolina sensation SF Stephon Mayberry with the first pick.

Top 12 picks :

(1.) 1. NY Knicks (25%)
(8.) 2. Toronto (3.5%)
(6.) 3. Charlotte (6.3%)
(2.) 4. Phoenix (17.8%)
(3.) 5. LA Clippers (17.7%)
(4.) 6. Oklahoma City (11.9%)
(5.) 7. Minnesota (8.8%)
(7.) 8. Portland (3.6%)
(9.) 9. Sacramento (1.4%)
(10.) 10. Orlando (1.4%)
(11.) 11. Washington (0.8%)
(12.) 12. Houston (0.7%)

No it won't, Kobe wont get called for phantom fouls and they won't allow Ray Ray to rain it down on them again. Odom will actually come to play this time and they'll kick Paul "actress" Pierce's butt and fulfill his own claim of the series not going back to LA - only it would be a Lakers win instead of those green jack shits :cheeky:

Valor, no dbf-editing. :D Just edited his rating a bit, so he won't be 1st pick who would rot on the bench with a 70 rating.

I do admit, some fouls on Kobe were off (the charge and the foul on Rondo). But will have to wait and see. :)

Mayberry will be looking to lead the Knicks back to the glory days.

Knicks pick Mayberry, Bucks pick Lawton, acquire Chan from Cavaliers.

The NY Knicks didn't disappoint its fans on this draft night, as they chose the best prospect available - Stephon Mayberry out of North Carolina with the first pick.

Mayberry was the National Player of the Year and led the Tar Heels to a national title. He averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds and his versatility and size should make him a great NBA player. The Knicks also traded Danilo Gallinari to the Clippers for Fred Jones to make room for Mayberry.

The Raptors picked Bobby Stokes with the second pick, an under-sized SG out of Duke. Stokes led the nation in scoring with 28.4 per game, but his Blue Devils lost to the Tar Heels in the Final Four semi-finals.

The Bobcats picked SF Brady O'Neal with the third pick, an athletic wing from Kentucky, who should be a great reserve for Gerald Wallace, as the two play with the same intensity. O'Neal averaged 10.9 rebounds at Duke, despite his size disadvantage.

The Bucks picked PF Hannibal Lawton with their first round pick, 27th overall, and then traded Andray Blatche to the Cavaliers for Katashiko Chan, the 18th overall pick. Chan brings great size to the Bucks, which they desperately need to come off the bench after letting Dan Gadzuric leave via free agency.

The rest of the board looked like this :

Gotta love the comp-gen'd names and the stories that can spring from them lol... although Steph Mayberry sounds like the next best thing for the Knicks considering LBJ decided to stay home

Glad Redd and Luc are lifers (Y) it's nice to keep some familiar faces and not perform a team enema every season; nice work too solidifying the interior with Chan and Hannibal; hope they work out

Totally forgot about that Kobe nephew thing. :D And I was glad, that Mayberry was that good. The whole draft class had many 73+ rookies, usually the first pick is like 74 and 4 guys in total are over 70.

Had to keep them both come to think about it. Both were key guys and 2/4 the reason why I chose the Bucks (Jennings and Bogut the rest).

And they better work out, Warrick and Bogut are often in foul trouble.

Yeah, Live 06 did well with generating rookies. At first I didn't even notice the resemblance, just saw S. Mayberry. But then like wtf? :D

The Bucks signed White and Battier to 1-year deals.

Bucks don't make big splash on free agents, sign Battier and James White

The Milwaukee Bucks have announced the signings of Shane Battier and James White to 1-year deals. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Battier is known for his defense, the key reason why the Bucks signed him, according to GM Shawn Kemp. Battier spent the last 5 seasons with the Houston Rockets, being a key guy for their defense throughout his time there. He earned two All-Defensive 2nd team honors with the Rockets.

He started his career in Memphis, where he was picked 6th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft.

The Bucks also signed journeyman James White to a 1-year deal. White was the 31st pick in the 2006 draft and has never had a steady team. White has played for the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets. White spent last season at Spartak Saint Petersburg, where he averaged 16 points on .596 shooting.

The Bucks have now 15 men in their roster.

Green and Azubuike were the top free agents and both got big deals.

Jeff Green signs with the Bobcats, Azubuike helps out Suns.

Jeff Green signed with the Charlotte Bobcats and Kelenna Azubuike signed with the Phoenix Suns, ending the free agency.

The free agency could be considered a disappointment, as the two mentioned were the top names available. Players decided to stick with their original teams and teams made big splashes to keep them. The LA Lakers signed Kobe Byant and Pau Gasol to extensions, nearly 50M combined between the two annually.

The Bucks kept things easy, because some players, including Kobe Bryant who signed a 1-year deal, can still be available next year. The Lakers also signed G Marcus Thornton.

Todd Cooper is also an NLSC-er. And yeah, Minnesota has a logjam at the point with Flynn, Rubio, Dieudonne and now you. All NLSC-ers have problems, maybe Brezhnev has the best chance to play big minutes cause he is a big guy.
