Jennings 20 in the fourth helps Bucks steal one on the road.
Bucks (104) - Celtics (98)

    Image
Jennings dazzled in his first ever Conference Finals game.

Brandon Jennings led all scorers with 29, including 20 in the fourth quarter to lead the Bucks over the Celtics in a come-from-behind victory.

The Celtics held a narrow lead entering the fourth and Paul Pierce scored 5 straight points to put the C's up by 8. But then Brandon Jennings, who was quiet all night, woke up.

He scored 2 straight threes, stole the ball from Rajon Rondo and passed the pall to Kyle Korver, who knocked down another three and the Bucks had their first lead of the night. Jennings scored 8 more points in a hurry and the Celtics panicked, weird from a team with such great veterans.

Rasheed Wallace and Ray Allen started to miss easy shots and Kevin Garnett couldn't rebound anything with Bogut and Warrick dominating the glass.

Pierce did however carry his team, scoring the last 13 points of the Celtics, including 3 threes.

But it was too late, the Bucks had build up an 8-point lead. Jennings made the final 6 foul shots, Pierce and Nate Robinson made some desperate threes, but the final horn, perhaps even mercifully for the Bucks, sounded.

Superb win, but in the "FINAL SCORE" section you have MIA listed instead of MIL. I know it really doesn't matter much, but it's just a small detail I spotted out while reading. Otherwise, very good stuff here. (Y)

Also, Fraps isn't working ever since I replaced my video card. Screenshots aren't a problem, just F12 but box scores in the Playoffs take a lot of time. Any ideas? I can take screens with Fraps when VLC Player is playing, but nor for games..

Game #2 soon.

Celtics tie the series behind Pierce's double-double.
Bucks (92) - Celtics (102)

    Image
Pierce hyping up the TD Garden after a successful three.

Paul Pierce led the way with 29 points and 10 boards as the Celtics cruised behind 52% shooting to win game #2 at home. Kevin Garnett added a double-double and Rajon Rondo was one assists shy of a double-double of his own.

The Celtics played great Playoff defense, allowing 39% shooting from the Bucks, including just 3/12 from downtown. Bogut and Warrick shot just 10-25 combined and Redd and Jennings went 14-40 from the field and 2-7 from three (Jennings 1-6).

The Celtics jumped out to a quick 10-point lead, 14-4, and finished the first quarter up by 12. They increased it with every quarter, never allowing the Bucks to come closer then 13 points. Brandon Jennings hit his only three with 2 seconds left in the fourth to narrow the lead to 10.

Kyle Korver, Andray Blatche and Eddie House saw extended playing time, but they only managed to pile in 13 points, the same as Luc Mbah a Moute, whose scoring is up since returning to the bench.

The series now shifts to Milwaukee for games #3 and #4.

Back home.
Blog entry #9

Back home again for games 3 and 4. Gotta get both of em so we can finish things up in Boston and on to the Finals, yeaah!

Also, Kemp hasn't mentioned anything about moving the team anymore, since we're doin so well and the arena is full every night.

Gotta practice, can't win if you don't practice, you know.

Bucks can't handle the Truth vol 2, Pierce goes for 34.
Bucks (101) - Celtics (115)

    Image
Pierce going for 30+ for the second straight game.

Paul Pierce and Rasheed Wallace set the tone early on, scoring 55 though three quarters as the Celtics cruised to an easy win in game #3.

Rajon Rondo chipped in 12 points and 11 assists and Kevin Garnett had an all-around game with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Luis Scola powered the bench play with 13 points and 9 rebounds, both his series highs.

For the Bucks, Andrew Bogut scored 21 points, Hakim Warrick added a double-double. Michael Redd and Brandon Jennings combined for 35 points, but struggled like in game #2, combining to go 14-36 from the field.

Pierce and Wallace scored the majority of the Celtics points and the Bucks had no answers for the two, as the Celtics jumped out to a 16-point lead in the first quarter and a 20-point lead by intermission.

The Bucks crawled back to 16 by the end of the third, but quick buckets from Pierce erased the last dreams the Bucks has about a comeback. Pierce went on to score 9 points in 3 minutes, going perfect 4-4 from the field. Rasheed emphatically dunked on Andrew Bogut to increase the lead to 22.

The rest of the score was set by reserves and the Bucks got the lead down to 14 by the end of the game.

The Bucks can tie the series in game #4 or go down 3-1 with the next game in the TD Garden.
