That just reminded me, during 2 episodes of flashbacks there was no mention of Terrence and Phillip.

This episode was a pretty funny complement to last week's episode. The massive censorship was hilarious.

Pissed me off. Not because of political standings or anything, the beeping noise over and over gives me a headache.

Friggin loved the twist with Cartman's father story. That was awesome.

Get used to it.

Pretty good stuff, not my favourite episode they've ever done but I liked it. They worked in their history pretty well, cameos by characters that have fallen by the wayside were usually funny too. Buddha snorting coke got a laugh out of me again, the Super Best Friends stuff was definitely a highlight.

Guess Comedy Central is pretty freaked about the possibility of a terrorist incident or at the very least some sort of public outcry/PR nightmare.

i wondered if the censorship was a joke or if it was comedy central's doing. Little disappointed to find out it was comedy central. I say fuck it and man up but i'm weird like that. This censorship is letting them win. I'd risk my own life for it oddly enough...but i guess its not my place to put others in danger.

Liked the episode anyways though.

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Wow, that did sound a little bitter, which is understandable. I don't have cable anymore so I always catch SP on southparkstudios.com, and I'd like to see how they handled that part 2 episode...Guess I'm screwed for now.

Agreed, especially if the "I've learned something today" speeches didn't even reference Muhammed. I can see where Comedy Central's coming from, but it's disappointing nevertheless.

Probably not unless they pull a Dave Chappelle. The show's currently renewed through 2011 so there's a least one more season to come.

I don't see why one disagreement would lead to the end of South Park on Comedy Central. Things will be back to normal next week.

I'd be very curious to see what the uncensored version looked like. What did Santa say that was so offensive?

Depends how mad Trey and Matt are over the whole thing I guess, though I'd say it'll all blow over.

If they feel that they can't do their show the way they want, without being censored by the network, then they might be considering their future.

I don't think its the fact they cant stand the censorship, they've had limits put on them before. I think it was the bleeps without telling them. Usually there is great communcation b/w South Park Studios and Comedy Central. Sounds like this time Comedy Central made decisions without warning trey and matt and thats why they're pissed.

Agreed, had they worked out these issues beforehand I'm sure they wouldn't be nearly as upset about the situation. I'm sure they'd still be annoyed by the censorship issue in general, but at least they wouldn't be caught off-guard by the extra bleeps.

But The Simpsons already tackled the delicate topic of conflicting spiritual ideology in Season 21's instant classic, The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed. :shifty:

I didn't much care for it. I've never seen Intervention and while I'm sure it was a pretty spot on parody, the episode felt like it was trying to milk too much out of one joke. The Looney Tunes reference was kind of random, I had to laugh at the reference to the "explosive rigged to a note" schtick used in quite a few of the shorts though. I just found the stuff with Towelie boring for the most part, to be honest I'd watch the Terrance & Philip "Not without my anus" episode before this one. Aside from the season premiere and the 200th and 201st episodes, I've found this season pretty dull.

Yeah I'd say maybe 4 of the 7 tops were good episodes...and only 3 of them great. Even though i enjoyed this season as i always do, i almost felt like they were stretching too much for the jokes this season.

Very disappointed in last night's ep. If its an episode about towelie, make it about towelie...dont mix it in with cripple summer camp. All the looney tunes reference were odd... All the blue team characters that weren't jimmy or timmy were some former cartoon character with a speech impediment i think.

I agree with you about the intervention schtick going on too long. It made sense with the towelie episode, it didnt make sense with the summer camp. I feel like this one should've been 2 shows, not an unrelated a/b story. There was so much potential in the handicapped summer camp thing (i half expected Cartman to fake being handicapped again to go to camp.)

and of all the characters to make villains: why the kid who sold jimmy steroids that one time? he wasnt that funny originally and he wasnt that funny this time.
