Two games in two nights: Dwyane Wade didn't hesitate. Wade had 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in one of his best games since coming to Indianapolis as the Pacers held on a late rally from New Jersey to beat the Nets 111-106 on Thursday night. “No one was running on fumes today from playing their minutes yesterday, and we were able to dig deep in the win,” said Wade, who made 10/17 shots and played 36 minutes, the only player in the Pacers active list that played more than half an hour against the Nets. John Wall had 18 points in 6/11 shooting, Danny Granger added 15, four rebounds and four blocks, and Brendan Haywood posted 13 points and 7 rebounds from the bench to help Indiana stay undefeated. Brandon Rush contributed 12 points. “These guys got heart. They've been doing everything that I've asked and even more,” Pacers coach Reggie Miller said. “And like I said, I think a lot of times they want to come together, they want to play together, they want to be a winning team and they just demonstrated it.”

Devin Harris had 25 points and seven assists for the 3-2 Nets, who dropped their 2nd game in their last 3. Quentin Richardson finished with 23 points, 15 in the first half. “We still have confidence that we can go out and win a game comfortably,” Richardson said. “Even though we've lost, we don't have losing habits and that's a good thing.” Brook Lopez had 11 points and 19 rebounds, following a 22-21 effort against Dallas. The Nets are short-handed at PF spot, as Ed Davis has a broken finger and Kris Humphries a strained achilles; neither of them are eligible to play until fully recovered and both complete physicals. Richardson hit a jumper and 3-pointer late in the first to give Washington a 32-31 lead heading into the second period, its first lead since opening the contest 6-0; Indiana had a 10-2 run after that. It went back-and-forth from there until Harris hit a pair of free throws and then scored on a drive to make it 43-33 with 6:34 to play until halftime. The Pacers seemed poised to seize control when they scored twelve straight points to lead on Granger's free throws, 57-56 at halftime, and after that a 10-2 run in the third quarter for a 11-point lead, 83-72, and 86-77 by the start of the last period. But then they had only four field goals in six minutes, and the Nets were within 107-106 after rookie Jerome Dyson's 3-pointer with 5.6 seconds remaining. Wade and Tyler Hansbrough sealed the score with two free throws each.

GAME NOTES
• Pacers new swingman Thabo Sefolosha completed his physical today and will play in Indy's next game, this Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse against the 5-0 Charlotte Bobcats. Sefolosha, who hasn't played an official NBA game since last April, suffered a tendinitis in his left knee in the practice prior to Pacers' preseason opener against the Denver Nuggets;
• Indiana's bench outscored New Jersey's, 45-29. Rush and Haywood combined for 25 points;
• The Nets finished 4/13 from beyond the arc, missing their first eight attempts;
• New Jersey's Courtney Lee played 34 minutes from the bench and had 13 points, five rebounds and six assists, as sophomore Terrance Williams had a collision with Indiana's Roy Hibbert in the second quarter and didn't return. Williams had 7 points in 11 minutes for the Nets, while Hibbert added 6 points and six rebounds for the Pacers in 3/10 from the field.

Richardson and Mbah a Moute are nice additions, but they could have done better in August. They have like 35 millions in cap space right now :lol: The black jersey looks better than I thought! Huge props to Skyline.

Roy was playing really good, so was Oden, but Granger and Wade were unstoppable. I already turned the difficulty up a notch, the Nets were a nice challenge. The Bobcats are 5-0, so it's gonna be even harder next game.

Funny to see you blow out the Blazers and then struggle with the Nets. Bu Mbah a Moute and Q-Rich are great additions and I guess the difficulty does give an effect.

Jerseys look great, but they don't look that different from the current Pacers jersey.

Way to go with over a month. (Y) Glad you're having fun with the team, that's the most important thing.

    Bobcats Insider :: What exactly are the odds that T.J.Ford actually has turned into a good starter? You mean T.J., that guy who was a Pacer last season? Yes. If you think it's ridiculous to look at someone's numbers after 5 games and 166 minutes played, skip the rest of this Insider. Ford is on pace to set career highs in points per game, field goal percentage, and minutes per game. That's not something happening with the rest of the Bobcats, all settled up in this team. Charlotte leads the league with a 5-0 record and wants to show last year's 2nd seed was no luck. Here we have Ford's numbers, draw your own conclusions... (this year /// career's): points per game (16.0 /// 12.7), field goal percentage (.527% /// .437%) and minutes per game (33.2 /// 29.6). Ford's great improvement can be traced directly to him taking over Raymond Felton's job as the team's starting point guard. Felton's playing a career-low 20.2 minutes per game, but proved to be a luxury backup as he is shooting career-highs in both field goal percentage (.586%) and 3-point percentage (.666%). All Bobcats fans are hoping Ford's value continues going forward.

    Undefeated and showing an increased dedication to defense, the Bobcats look to give Indiana their first loss. Charlotte is off to its best start in their short history at 5-0. Though the season is young, the 'Cats have developed one of the NBA's top defenses, with 8.4 steals per game (2nd) and also holding opponents to a league-best 83.0 points per game. Yesterday, the Bobcats had a tough time trying to stop Washington's offense in the first half, but thanks to their Big 3, they found the task easier with the Wiz missing one of their leaders. Ford, Boris Diaw and Stephen Jackson combined for 63 points in the 'Cats 102-85 win over the Wizards, who had Gilbert Arenas flirting with a triple double (23 points, 8 boards, 9 assists) and Troy Murphy playing only 15 minutes because of a strained calf. “These guys tasted a little success last season when they got in the playoffs with that great seeding, and they know what that feeling is like,” Pacers coach Reggie Miller said. “And they want to get back.” Charlotte's forward Derrick Brown suffered a bruised hip and will miss the game.

    Pacers Insider :: Dwyane Wade has followed up his second straight NBA scoring title by grabbing the league lead in scoring again through the season's first week. The Indiana Pacers, though, feel they're much more than a one-man show. One of the big reasons for the Indiana's huge improvement -- and current four-game winning streak to open the season 4-0 -- has been their 6th men, Brandon Rush and Brendan Haywood. Wade led the league with 29.9 points per game last season with Miami, but despite having the league's top scorer the Heat couldn't make the playoffs. With an offense that lacked a consistent threat besides Danny Granger, Indiana signed both Wade and Udonis Haslem from the Heat, kept Rush in the rotation -- trade rumors with him were around the corner -- and signed Haywood from the Mavericks, in a huge effort to bolster its squad.

    With all this talent around them, Rush and Haywood average a combined 22.0 points from the bench, helping improve the Pacers' offense. Indiana is averaging a league-best 109.8 points on .507% percent shooting (2nd). Rush and Haywood had 12 and 13 points, respectively, in the Pacers' 111-106 win over the Nets this past Thursday, 25 of 45 from Pacers' bench. “We try to make a name for ourselves,” said Rush, who's averaging 11.5 points per game this season. “Both Brandon and I know we're not going to do that every night, we're not going to be perfect every night, we're just trying to contribute and so far all has worked out perfect for us,” Haywood added. The Pacers will also play Thabo Sefolosha from the first time since the swingman from Switzerland signed in August; the Pacers could have used the Swiss' defense in their last games, as they had 20-point leads turned to deficits three times in two games.

    Key Matchup: T.J. Ford vs. John Wall

    X-Factors: Boris Diaw / Roy Hibbert

Tyson Chandler had 20 points and 18 rebounds to help the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Indiana Pacers, 106-96 Saturday night in what could prove to be a costly game for both teams. Gerald Wallace hobbled to the finish after hurting his left ankle on a failed drive to the basket with 1:09 to go in the third, while Pacers swingman Gerald Henderson and T.J. Ford however, did not make it to the final horn. Henderson sprained his right ankle in the second quarter and needed help getting to the locker room, while Ford had 15 points and four rebounds for the Bobcats but limped off the floor with just under eight minutes remaining, having reaggravated a left ankle sprain that kept him out for at least seven games with the Bobcats last year. “We'll know more tomorrow. We're going to make sure there's no damage to the ligaments, at least not too bad,” Ford said. “I hate sitting out. I want to be back as soon as I can.” Dwyane Wade had 21 points and four assists for Indiana, which lost for the first time this season. He walked dejectedly to the locker room with 20 seconds left after the loss was consumed. Danny Granger and John Wall had 19 points apiece for the Pacers, who shot only 26 percent from beyond the arc (4/15). Thabo Sefolosha, in his first game as a Pacer, had 12 points in 22 minutes, while Brendan Haywood missed all five field goals he attempted, but grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

The Bobcats scored the first eight points of the game and led 29-24 after Wallace's fastbreak layup to end the first period. Granger refused to let the game slip away there, however, as he scored the Pacers' next 11 points in a row in the second, hitting two jumpers and two layups, after being fouled on the perimeter and converting a three-point play on a driving dunk. The spurt helped the Pacers be up by 6 points, but Chandler scored 8 points and Wallace added 4 in a 12-2 run to lead 49-44 at halftime. Charlotte remained on the offensive as Raymond Felton hit an open 3 late in the third, then Boris Diaw finished a fastbreak with a thunderous dunk, giving the 'Cats a 75-73 lead heading into the final quarter. The Pacers led by as much as seven with 7:14 left and held the edge for another couple of minutes, but Felton added another 3 and Stephen Jackson three layups for the Bobcats lead. Late in the quarter, Ford set up Chandler's alley-oop dunk and Wallace converted a pair of three-point plays on driving floaters as he was fouled, the second one for a 8-point lead, 104-96. Wall missed an open shot from the corner in the final seconds, and Toney Douglas made the layup in the following play for the final score.

GAME NOTES
• The Pacers are now 4-1 while Charlotte continues undefeated, 6-0;
• Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Diaw each were assessed technical fouls for bumping each other after Diaw's layup in the third quarter;
• Indiana head coach Reggie Miller said he was unsure of Henderson's condition. However, he said Ford's departure changed the game. “It changed big time because of the fact that now we didn't have to think about him on the backcourt or double-team him in an open play,” Miller said. “It gave Dwyane more of a freedom to guard different guys.”
• This was the Pacers' second sellout in 3 homes games and the largest crowd of the season so far.

    Suns Insider :: The Phoenix Suns haven't played well away from home this season, but this East road trip may give them the opportunity to turn their record outside the US Airways Center around. The Suns will try to get back on winning ways when they meet the Indiana Pacers, Thursday night at Indianapolis. The Suns (3-3) will play their next five games on the road, visiting Indiana, New Jersey, Detroit, Cleveland and Toronto. “If we come back to Phoenix and build on wins from this trip, we'll feel good about ourselves,” Suns guard Leandro Barbosa said. “Some of these are some very winnable games for us.” The Suns have struggled defensively, allowing 102.5 points per game (5th worst in the league), but they are coming off some great offensive performances. 102.3 per game (also 5th). Phoenix lost 106-94 against Minnesota with Steve Nash scoring 24 points, while Barbosa had 17. Amare Stoudemire, a rumored trade chip, had 21 and 15 rebounds. Al Jefferson had 24 points for the Timberwolves. “Obviously the big difference in the game was their shooting performance,” Stoudemire said. “They shot the ball really well and made us pay for our mistakes.”

    Pacers Insider :: Returning to the court for the first time in five days, the Indiana Pacers look to continue their impressive start Thursday when they host a struggling Phoenix club seeking to get on a streak. The Pacers couldn't gut out a win over the weekend last Saturday against the Eastern Conference-leading Charlotte Bobcats. Now, the Pacers are rested - and that could spell trouble for the Suns. The Pacers (4-1) saw their unbeaten run come to an end with a 106-96 home loss to the Bobcats, the third game in four nights for Indiana. The Bobcats looked sharp -- shooting 50 percent from the floor and posting a 46-34 rebound advantage -- outscoring the short-handed Pacers 31-23 in the fourth quarter to escape with the victory. “I didn't think we had a lot in the tank,” Pacers player development coach Thierry Tirieux said. With their revamped roster -- the "Big Three" of Danny Granger, Dwyane Wade and rookie John Wall -- the Pacers may get handled easily when tired. When fully rested, though, there may be no team better.

    Pacers' Big 3 combined for 59 points -- 21 by Wade -- in the Pacers' loss against Charlotte. Stephen Jackson had 25 with five rebounds and five assists while Tyson Chandler added 20 and 18 rebounds. “I love to play against zones,” Chandler said. “Defensively, guys, they don't really pay attention. They don't play against you particularly, they play against a spot.” In other news, Gerald Henderson’s right ankle injury (classified now as a sprain) doesn’t sound serious, but he is questionable for tonight’s game. The Indianapolis Star said: “Henderson's status for tonight’s game at the Conseco Fieldhouse had not been determined after he sustained a right ankle sprain in a 106-96 loss to the Bobcats last Saturday. 'Hopefully it’s not too bad and I’m just going to see how it feels tonight,' Henderson said.”

The Pacers began this season with the NBA's most revamped roster. Because of that, coach Reggie Miller knows this is going to be a season filled with plenty of teaching opportunities. Take for instance Thursday night, when Indiana fell behind by ten points to Phoenix starting the second quarter. Miller quickly called a timeout, telling his team to think before acting. The Pacers responded with ten unanswered points before taking the lead for good as they went back on winning ways, 114-104, at Conseco Fieldhouse. “It's just a lesson for these guys to understand that in order to be a winning team, a team that competes, you've got to do the right thing all the time,” Miller said. “Every possession counts, defensively and offensively. You don't always do it right, but you've got to attempt to do it right. You've got to have a focus. More often than not, good things will happen.” The Pacers learned from their mistakes in a 106-96 loss to Charlotte in which they played uninspiring basketball in the final quarter. Against Phoenix, they had energy from start to finish in a game that was close throughout.

Even in the first half, when All-Star Amare Stoudemire torched them scoring 14 of his game-high 30 points, the Pacers still managed to hang tough. Stoudemire, who also had 15 rebounds, scored almost at will as he forced Pacers' center Roy Hibbert into three first-half fouls. Udonis Haslem and Brendan Haywood also tried their hand at stopping Amare, to no avail. In the second half, the Pacers figured the best way to slow down Stoudemire was to make him work on the defensive end: Hibbert and Danny Granger began taking their games into the post. Granger led Indy with 29 points and four blocks, while Hibbert had a season-high 21 points and nine rebounds (four offensive). “(Me and Danny) kind of play similar games in the post,” Hibbert said. “I know where he likes it at. I'm a pretty good passer myself, and he is too.”

After Stoudemire put Phoenix up 38-28 with 10:11 to play in the second quarter, Granger and rookie John Wall sparked a 12-2 run to tie the game and then regained the lead for Indy with Wall converting a three-point play, and in the third period a rebound dunk by Hibbert pushed the Pacers lead to 70-58. Phoenix managed to pull to within 90-87 when Steve Nash turned a D.J. Augustin turnover to a layup on the other end. But a 3-pointer by Dwyane Wade ignited a 7-0 run, capped by his steal and dunk with 1:43 remaining, for a 105-96 lead. “I got the ball and happened to be on the wing,” Wade said of his only 3-pointer of the contest. “The guys kind of cleared out and the guy guarding me backed up. I got an opportunity to set my feet, it's a shot I can make. If I missed, Reggie probably would have been mad, but I made it and it sparked our run.” Jason Richardson, who had 20 points, said the Suns made too many defensive mistakes in the second half, where the Pacers scored 59 points. “We didn't do small, fundamental things on defense. We didn't push the post off the block. Danny and Roy caught the ball pretty low, and we let them get into the paint. It just takes effort and wanting to do it down the stretch.”

GAME NOTES
• The Pacers will play three of their next four games at home, before embarcking on a two-game road trip with stops in Orlando and Boston;
• Nash chipped in with 12 points and 15 assists for Phoenix, while center Channing Frye played 35 minutes and shot 6/13 to score 14 points and Richardson scored all 20 of his points in the second and third quarter;
• Haslem shot 0/6 from the field to remain scoreless while Haywood scored a season-low 3 points for Indiana;
• Four of five starters scored in double figures for Indiana, and six in total. Wall added 13, Wade 14 -- in a season-low 5/22 shooting -- and Brandon Rush and Thabo Sefolosha had 10 points apiece. The Pacers shot 70 percent from beyond the arc after shooting just 26 percent against the Bobcats. Gerald Henderson, because of a right ankle sprain, didn't play.

Love the video highlights i never thought that i dynasty could ever be brought to life on the pc as nba live did but i think 2k and your creative mind have nailed it !

Good signing with Thabo Sefolosha a very underrated defender.

Good luck with the Suns (Y)

Thanks man, but I think I still have a long way to go for this one to be considered one of the best. :wink: My record of unfinished stories doesn't help me a lot.

Also happy with the vids. But it's not working right now because it takes a lot of time, so I have to figure another way, and at the same time make the season go a little faster.

Sefolosha is playing really good and also scoring too, really happy with his signing :D

I think that twelve points is the least amount of points I've ever seen Nash score in a NBA video game, but then again, he had fifteen dimes. Hibbert really stepped his game up, and Granger definitely picked up some of Wade's slack. Good win. (Y)

abort the attempt at previewing AND recapping 82 games a season + potential (which at this point seems very likely) playoff games and you'll be able to whisk through the season

No offense man but I got this feeling that this would stop soon (I wished it won't happen). Avoid the recap and preview of all 82 games just play what games you like most or interest you. You haven't show are college players which is another hard work for you.

I am not discouraging you man, I like this dynasty but this happened to all of your dynasty think about it man.

Thanks man. Yes Nash has always scored at least 20 against me... Wall did a nice job defending him. :) Hibbert and Haywood make a great duo. That was Wade's worst shooting performance since I signed him.

Thanks for the comments guys, and yes, I'm dropping the preview+recap format. I'm now going weekly, with a little Around The League format... I already played the next week games so look for the new layout tomorrow night or Tuesday. Beware! :cheeky:

Christ, you put so much detail/effort into these. Pretty awesome effort, though I fear you have given up on things like friendships and ever getting laid :lol: but if it means a lot of replies what the hell :P
