Re: Oklahoma City Thunder - New City, New Challenge [53-13]

Well maybe I'll give that a go next time I do something good in an exhibition game, but I don't think I'll bother in my Dynasty games.
This season is taking long enough as it is without stopping to edit clips. I'm having to resist the urge to sim the remaining games before the Play-offs
Maybe next season though, when I'm not playing as many games. (Y)

Absolutely, as it is we certainly appreciate you taking the time to capture something cool when it happens so you can show us. You do seem to have some nice plays though and it'd be great to have some NLSCers in the countdowns, as I said I reckon you could get featured so I'd definitely recommending giving it a shot sometime when you don't mind interrupting the game for a few minutes. Ok, I'll keep it in mind in case something special happens. Also, how would I submit a clip for these countdowns?

Unless the game really wants to screw you over, it looks like Durant will be the MVP. You've got the record, he's there amongst the candidates, he's had Player of the Month honours and he's leading the league in scoring so the award selection logic should be in your favour.

It was St. Patrick's Day recently so I figured why not use the green jersey. Durant is the front runner for MVP atm. He averaged 33 ppg during March.

It's not the worst jersey in the world. It's nice to have alternatives to white or black jerseys :)

Hopefully, if all goes to plan. On the other hand though LeBron, Kobe and Melo all got traded in this game already. Nothing is certain... :cheeky:

Oklahoma City Thunder [53-13] vs Detroit Pistons [29-41]

Thunder make it 5 in a row with win over Pistons

Having secured a Play-off spot already and being 7.5 games clear in the West, you would expect Oklahoma City to take it easy against the Pistons.
But they came out firing and surprisingly Detroit stayed with them. Both teams were finding scoring easy early on. Thunder lead 30-27 at the first break.
This continued in the second quarter. The Thunder still managed to increase their lead though. They lead 58-52 at the end of an entertaining first half.
The Thunder blew the game wide open in the third. The Pistons couldn't keep up and were behind by 18 at the final break, 92-74.
Oklahoma City took their foot off the gas in the fourth and Detroit reduced the margin late on. Thunder won 113-100. Almost the exact score as the last game.
Kevin Durant had a quieter night offensively, but still managed 28 points and 8 rebounds. His scoring streak now stands at 35 games.

You're on a roll at the moment. (Y) Seeing that Durant dunk on the break reminded me of another pet peeve I have with NBA Live 10's gameplay though, the CPU does a much better getting out on the break and catching up/staying with you on the break. I think last gen NBA Live 06 (ie NBA Live 06 PC) has the best and fairest fast breaks in the series to date.

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder - New City, New Challenge [55-13]

Sat Apr 03, 2010 12:17 pm

Yeah it's annoying how they can get in front of you on a fast break, but when you try to catch up to them you have no chance. Even if your player is faster than their player.

Also, to the 2 guys above Andrew's post, what is a chise? :?

Short for Franchise, the old name for Dynasty Mode. Please pay them no mind, they've been spamming it up and have been warned about our rules and procedures on advertising websites.

Rudy Gay is number 23 because Jeff Green already had number 22.

Oklahoma City Thunder [55-13] vs New York Knicks [41-31]

Thunder get complacent against resurgent Knicks

Image

Oklahoma City welcomed the New York Knicks to the Ford Center on the back of a 6 game winning streak.
New York have won 13 of their last 19 games and are in contention for top seed in the East. They will be looking for an upset tonight.
The Knicks surprisingly set the early pace as the Thunder didn't look switched on. New York lead 29-26 at the first break.
Things got worse for the Thunder in the second as their offensive game started to fall apart. Kevin Durant was the only shining light for them.
He had 22 points in the first quarter and continued on in the second. The Knicks extended their lead to 8 by the half, 52-44.
The Thunder just couldn't get into the game in the third. They tried to mount a comeback but the Knicks had an answer each time.
New York increased their lead to 13 by the end of the third, 80-67. Tracy McGrady was leading his team well and showing he still has what it takes.
More of the same in the fourth as the Knicks embarrassed the Thunder in front of their home fans. Knicks went on to win by 20, 108-88.
Kevin Durant's game was the only bright spot for the Thunder. He had 43 points and extended his scoring streak to 37 games.
This will hopefully serve as a wake up call the for Thunder, who are heading into their first Play-off series as a new franchise.
They'll have to guard against complacency in the coming weeks as once the Play-offs start, regular season records mean nothing and every team is a threat.

Nice highlights as always. Really tough loss there, shame Durant couldn't go off for sixty plus to bring you back into it.
