Lakers trade Gasol to T-Wolves for Jefferson

Image

Trade deadline day has been rocked by the news that the Lakers have traded forward Pau Gasol to Minnesota for center Al Jefferson.
The deal is believe to be a straight swap. Lamar Odom will step into the Lakers' starting 5 and Andrew Bynum will drop to the bench.
LA are believed to have done the trade because they felt Bynum was too injury prone heading into the Play-offs.

Ok, I figured out how to save videos onto the PS3 hard drive. But when I copy the file over to my laptop I get these 4 files instead of just a video file:

Anyone know a way to convert the file or make it playable?

Oklahoma City Thunder [39-10] vs Portland Trail Blazers [29-22]

Thunder bounce back against Blazers

Image

After a loss to the Raptors 2 nights ago, the Thunder were looking to get back on track against the Trail Blazers at the Ford Center.
Oklahoma City got off to a great start early on. Kevin Durant lifted his team to a 28-22 lead by the first break.
Portland kept pace with the Thunder in the second. However, the Thunder still increased their lead by 1 at the half, 55-48.
The Thunder were at their best in the third, both offensively and defensively. They stretched their lead out to 89-67 with one to play.
Leading by 22, anyone would have forgiven the Thunder for taking their foot off the gas a little bit, but they continued playing until the end.
They eventually ran out comfortable 33 point winners, 115-82. Amazingly Durant, Gay and Green all finished with 31 points each.
Ben Wallace also had a great game. 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. With this win, the Thunder became the first team to reach 40 wins.
Durant reached 20 games of scoring 25 or more points. Half way to matching the amazing 40 game streak MJ achieved twice in his career.

Wow, Portland had no answer for you. An elite team coming off a tough loss is a dangerous opponent indeed. ;)

I think you might be out of luck on transferring and converting the raw video save files, I'd say it's EASW or nothing.

Oklahoma City Thunder [40-10] vs Golden State Warriors [18-37]

Thunder too good for Warriors

Image

Oklahoma City travelled to the Oracle Arena in Oakland to take on the Warriors, looking for their second win in a row.
They got off to a good start and lead 30-24 after one quarter. Jeff Green and Rudy Gay each had 10 points.
The Warriors actually reduced the lead by 1 in the second. Thunder still lead 58-53 at the half though.
Golden State actually got out to a 6 point lead at one stage in the third, but Kevin Durant hit back to back three pointers to level the game.
After that the Warriors never looked like challenging for the lead again. The Thunder had too many scorers for the Warriors to handle.
Leading 84-74 at the start of the fourth, the Thunder held firm and ran out 108-94 winners in the end.
Green recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Durant scored another 34 points, extending his streak to 21 games.

your big 3 attack is simply NASTY; i don't see may teams able to handle such a versatile attack if you keep that core together in the years ahead

:? does Mutombo have a son playing in the league? that surely can't be the original finger wagger tearin' it up lol

You guys are just sadistic. ;) Seriously though I still disagree, as several games have been close with exciting finishes and 41-10 is not an unreasonable mark for a user controlled Dynasty.

Oklahoma City Thunder [41-10] vs Los Angeles Clippers [27-31]

Thunder rally late to beat Clippers in LA

Image

Oklahoma City continued their Californian road trip with a visit to the Staples Center to take on the Clippers.
They started well, getting out to an early lead. The Clippers came back late in the first though. Thunder lead 23-20 after one.
The Thunder's intensity went up in the second. Behind Green and Gay they increased their lead to 8, 50-42.
The Clippers fought back in the third and almost grabbed the lead. Thunder held out though and lead 67-66 with one to play.
The lead changed several times in the fourth. The Clippers looked to run away with the game but the Thunder had an answer each time.
With 1:15 left, the scores were tied at 87-87. The Thunder went on a 10-5 run and win the game 97-92.
Kevin Durant and Ben Wallace were the heroes. Both coming up big in the final stages to secure the win. Eric Gordon hit a three on the buzzer.
Durant just scraped in to continue his scoring streak, which now extends to 21 games.

No, it's still the old guy himself. 99% sure he will retire at the end of the season though.

^ Thanks. That's what I was thinking. :applaud:

Anyway, I was going through all my games and noticed that I haven't played Detroit or Orlando once yet. But I've played the Lakers, Kings, Clippers and Warriors 3 times. I know that's probably just due to the randomised schedule though.

Lakers up next :cheeky:

Oklahoma City Thunder [42-10] vs Los Angeles Lakers [39-17]

Inconsistent Lakers fall to Thunder in LA

Image

Oklahoma City were in Los Angeles to take on the Lakers in their third straight road game in California. They were looking to make it 3 wins from 3.
They started well, with Jeff Green and Rudy Gay getting their touch early. Both had 10 points as the Thunder lead 28-23 at the first break.
The Thunder exerted more pressure on the Lakers in the second. They shut down Kobe, so the Lakers had to look to Odom in the paint for points.
Oklahoma City were really sharing the ball around. Everyone was getting in on the scoring. They comfortably lead 55-42 at the end of the half.
The third quarter was very much a shoot-out between Durant and Kobe. The fans were treated to 2 of the best players in the league going head to head.
Jordan Farmar managed to hit a jump shot on the buzzer to reduce the lead to 11, 82-71. A nice little momentum boost going into the huddle.
However, the Thunder ran away with the game in the fourth. They continued to share the ball around and the Lakers had no answers.
Russell Westbrook had a season high 24 points for the game. In fact, Ben Wallace was the only Thunder starter not to score over 20 points.
The Thunder eventually ran out comfortable 22 point winners, 110-88. As if to rub it in, James Harden hit a jump shot on the final buzzer.
The Lakers seemed to miss Pau Gasol's scoring. They may regret trading him for Al Jefferson come Play-off time.
Kevin Durant continued his scoring streak. His 27 points made it 22 games in a row scoring 25 or more.

The East is very close at the moment. 3 games between 1st and 8th. 4th to 9th in the West is only separated by 3 games too.
Boston really imploded this month. They lost 7 in a row I think. Orlando keep sliding down the standings too.

Huge win over the Lakers. Good to see you were able to get Kobe back to the Lakers by the deadline, as I recall Ginobili's injury was holding that up. Didn't help them much in that game though. :)

Oklahoma City Thunder [43-10] vs Minnesota Timberwolves [16-41]

Thunder lose thriller against the T-Wolves

Image

Coming off a big win over the Lakers, Oklahoma City were expected to come to Minnesota and walk away with the win.
However, the T-Wolves had other ideas. They lead 24-19 at the first break with Pau Gasol who had 10 points and 5 rebounds.
They did well to resist the Thunder in the second, stopping their offense and increasing their lead by 1. They lead 46-40 at the half.
The Thunder broke the game open in the third. Mostly thanks to Durant having a monster evening. They only trailed by 1 going into the fourth.
Only trailing by 1, everyone expected the Thunder to run over the top of Minnesota. But they held firm and the lead changed many times.
Minnesota lead 97-95 with 5 seconds remaining. Durant had an opportunity to force overtime, but his shot missed after what looked like a foul.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks was furious that the foul wasn't called. Replays showed he may have had a point.
One positive for the Thunder was Durant scoring 38 points and extended his scoring streak to 23 games.
