That's the idea. Hope Favors and Turner get already selected for when I get to pick, but if Wall is gone, I would be happy with any of them.

Xavier is more of a Plan C if I do a trade, I wouldn't pick Xavier at 3rd with Wall, Favors or Turner available. :cheeky:

I'm hoping for Wall too. If not I will have to trade for a PG, despite I love Augustin and Price sharing the job.

Also, I have a new plan. Considering this wonderful job Jao and others did, I'm adding all of you guys to the NCAA teams on the mod. That's why I'm gonna need you to complete a new application I'm gonna make tomorrow. So, look for complete workouts and pics from your virtual counterparts in the game as the season progresses. :cheeky: I'm going at least 2 more years with this (I know that sounds like a cracked record) (B)

Hi Pacers fans, Thierry here and welcome back to my blog here at Pacers com. The pre-draft workouts continued yesterday at the Pacers practice facility in Indianapolis. There was a good turnout of local reporters and broadcasters, and most were on hand to cover former Ohio State star Evan Turner, who was getting a look from the team scouts. Turner had an impressive pre-draft camp, and was solid in front of Larry, Reggie and I. Evan may be a little big to be an NBA shooting guard (6'7''), but his athleticism helps make up for that. In the testing, which took place before the workouts, his excellent ball control has earned him the number two spot on most mock drafts around the World Wide Web. Evan has hopes of being selected first overall, and according to the people I've talked to, he has a good chance with Memphis picking first; his stock is on the rise following some solid workouts. His agressive pre-dract camp got him on the map, to be sure.

Other notables from yesterday workouts, were DeMarcus Cousins, out of Kentucky; Lithuania's Donatas Motiejunas; Syracuse's Wesley Johnson; and Cole Aldrich from Kansas, the others working out for the team. Willie Warren, a 6'4'' point guard out of Oklahoma, and Quincy Pondexter, 6'7'' small forward from Washington, were the last players with tests and both had solid workouts for the team. But, the cream of the crop was the 5-on-5 scrimmage Reggie arranged for the end of the afternoon: John Wall, Derrick Favors, Xavier Henry, Al-Farouq Aminu, Turner, Cousins, Motiejunas, Johnson, Aldrich and Warren, a complete delight for us testers. Next week it'll be the moment of the truth: the draft is around the corner and things are starting to ramp up, and so is the talent we've saw workout for the organization... this is crunch time. There is plenty of information with all these workouts, that's for sure. Tomorrow we will be locked in the war room for at least 6 hours, and we will still got a long way to go. Wall is set to be a Pacer, but that could change, however, as these things are never set in stone.

EVAN TURNER • SG • OHIO STATE (Shootaround)

I would call Evan a Brandon Roy / Scottie Pippen mix. Evan is one of the most efficient and productive players in the nation and his long arms and instincts allow him to rebound at a very high rate. Many evaluators project him to play the swingman spot in the league, but I really believe he can defend the point guard spot fulltime. Although he is still learning the position, he is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses with smaller guards. He tends to dribble one way and crossover the opposite way ability. He dominated in a couple of games we did today with a high basketball IQ, as far as knowing when to shoot, pass, and lead the team on his back.

However, his shot mechanics does look a little funky. Mid range game has come along over the course of the season but really hasn't developed much of a three point shot, and doesn't look to shoot many; he also needs to tone down turnovers, but with more seasoning playing point guard, he should solve that problem. So, with all said, Evan is NBA ready and can fill a need for a struggling franchise now. Will certainly go Top 3, and he's a NBA allstar in the making.

Image Big combo guard with great versatility and a tremendous feel for the game ... Extremely smooth with the ball in his hands and has a bag of tricks offensively ... Terrific ability of getting to the basket ... Supreme confidence with the ball in his hands, excellent handle and a nasty crossover ... Slick mid-range game with the ability to change directions and get defenders off balance to create looks ... Very adept at finishing after contact; utilizes the glass effectively ... Creative playmaker with the ability to find others for shots when his path to the basket gets cut off; solid vision and a good passer; makes a lot of impressive plays at the basket using excellent body control and creativity ... Solid free throw shooter.
Image Not a freak athlete, but above average by NBA standards with great length ... At times appears to be susceptible to being thrown off his game by physical play ... Should look to improve his catch and shoot ability and expand his range and consistency from the perimeter ... His effectiveness going towards the basket with the ball probably keeps him from polishing his outside game, but with such efficiency driving it's hard to ask him to shoot more from the perimeter ... At times can fall in love with the dribble and become too ball dependent ... His creativity can lead to being a little careless passing the ball ... Not great at setting defenders up off of screens and shooting spot up; prefers to create a rhythm with the ball in his hands dribbling off screens or creating off isolation.

DEMARCUS COUSINS & DONATAS MOTIEJUNAS • PF-C / PF • KENTUCKY / LITHUANIA (2-on-2 vs. Josh McRoberts & Jeff Foster)

We saw DeMarcus as a highly skilled big body center with unlimited potential. He used his footwork and strong body to score at will against Jeff and Josh, and dominated space underneath to gobble up 4 offensive rebounds in 12 possessions. He also had an aggressive attitude and played a little below the rim but his width kept him from getting his shot blocked. He also was a monster on college, like a smaller version of Shaq, and also drawed comparisons to him with his personality. His size and skill combination separates him from other centers.

Donatas is another big man with a high ceiling. He has a lot of potential due to his size, agility and offensive development, has excellent versatility, but is tough to play inside with contact. He showed a strong ability to run the floor, and has strong legs and quick feet. He demonstrated inside/outside ability, defending inside and playing with his back to the basket, as well as knocking down two shots on the perimeter. He has a very good body and appears that he will be able to add upperbody strength and become a solid rebounder and interior post player at the NBA level.

Image Cousins: An extremely strong player, his body is well developed and has a remarkable wingspan to boot ... Once he catches the ball on the block, there is not much the defense can do because he is huge ... Has very soft hands, helping him catch passes in traffic, as well as convert on difficult shots around the hoop ... Possess great coordination and balance for a player his size ... He never rushes his moves and is always under control ... More than capable of stepping out beyond the arc and knocking shots down. /// Motiejunas: Versatile lefty bigman ... Shows a strong ability to run the floor and change directions, start and stop ... His outside shot has both range and consistency, and he has begun to develop some excellent moves including a jump hook, a turnaround fadeaway as well as fakes to draw opponents off their feet and excellent footwork ... Shows a competitive fire, with a strong desire to win and improve, he just needs to show that at all times ... A solid shot blocker.
Image Cousins: The biggest concern: lack of explosiveness ... Very effective at the current level because he simply outmuscles opponents, but once he faces bigger defenders, his athleticism (or lack thereof) will be exposed further ... His post game is predicated on brute force, but he has not really shown many reliable back-to-the-basket moves ... Has stretches where he completely disappears, at times he doesn’t even try to make an effort to run down the floor. /// Motiejunas: Is extremely talented and he knows it; at times he exhibits some lapses in focus and laziness in practices ... Sometimes appears content to be better than others without dominating them the way he's capable; that's the type of thing that he'll need to mature out of, learning to work hard at all times ... Still needs to add polish on his moves on the perimeter ... Has thin arms and upperbody, although he has solid strength. He'll need to get stronger to contend with NBA bigs.

Welcome back to my blog Pacers fans. Luck was on our side as Kentucky's John Wall slipped to 3rd and also we picked Da'Sean Butler from at the 2nd round to become the newest Pacers. Memphis made Evan Turner the first pick overall, while Utah picked Derrick Favors after Carlos Boozer publicly said he wouldn't resign with the organization. Lithuania's Donatas Motiejunas went to Washington while Detroit picked Cole Aldrich from Kansas to round up the Top 5. Full draft board:

Welcome back to my blog Pacers fans. Last summer, a few free agents cashed in big time: Elton Brand walked away from the Clippers to the tune of $80 million from Philly, Baron Davis made some big bucks in Los Angeles and a number of restricted free agents, such as Andre Iguodala, Luol Deng, Emeka Okafor and Josh Smith, scored nice deals as well. This time, us who have been observing Cleveland, Miami, New Jersey and New York, among others, maneuver to create salary-cap space already have heard about "the Summer of LeBron." That was this past month. The month LeBron James could opt out of his contract with the Cavs. But this offseason was not just the Summer of LeBron: it was also the Summer of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Tyson Chandler, Manu Ginobili, Richard Jefferson, Joe Johnson, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Redd, each of whom could became an unrestricted free agent... and that's not to mention all the restricted free agents.

Of course, not all of these players reached free agency, but some did, which is why heard buzz and rumors all over the place. Take a look and see which players your team lost... and which players inked. To start things off, here we have the Southwest Division:

Me either man. I want to end the offseason ASAP too so I can start playing. The only problem is, with the whole season simmed, I didn't get much points for training camps. (N)

Nice job rigging the lottery and getting Wall. That draft looks pretty odd, though I think Evan Turner is better than John Wall. Would have probably taken Lawal or Varnado in the second, but that's your call.

Hate to see you getting Wade. Looks like you're following the OKC template of a stacked backcourt and a weak frontcourt. Good luck.

Don't like either Lawal or Varnado, that's why I went with Butler. I would have taken Ebanks but was taken one pick earlier. :( I inked some good FAs for the frontcourt, Haywood from the Mavs and another good power forward I didn't tell anything yet with the MLE. :cheeky:

Yeah, first with Favors and then with Ebanks, both one pick earlier than me. :P Shame that Korver wasn't re-signed, Martti is surely pissed off.

Portland looks real good; they're gonna be a handful for you even if you had TWO John Walls ;)

Wrapping up the West, it was a wild Pacific Division:

Some nice changes on these teams. I am actually surprised that you really made it this far but want to give you big props for this achievement. Great draft choice, Wall is often slipping down there, actually in my currently running T-Wolves dynasty I also got him at three but traded him away since I already have Flynn and Sessions.

Thanks man. Yeah some really nice signings and trades... about making it this far, to me this is still square one; didn't play one single game yet  So the real test starts now with the preseason games.

Really lucky Wall slipped to third :) I would have traded Sessions if I were you.

It's like the Jazz want to lose. Awesome summer for you though. Don't get why the Raptors would trade for RJ and then keep him on the bench.

The Jazz let all Korver, Matthews and Gaines leave... at least they got Favors and Marbury.

I didn't write my full roster yet, some names are still on the shadows. But I must admit I'm really happy with this 15-guy roster, so I hope I can stick with them for two more years and don't get any file corruptions.

The Raps had Jack with career-highs and Calderon with career-lows the first season here, and didn't have a backup for Turkoglu. They signed Joe Alexander but, you know :P And Jefferson is a $15m expiring now, maybe they want to test him as the team 6th man and re-sign him for a new contract. Terrico White (49th overall I think) is on the 70s overall, a huge steal...
