Year 1 Knicks Report:
T-Mac has been on an incredible scoring streak since mid-January 2010;
1/19 - @ Tor - 51 pts.
1/21 - HOU - 40 pts.
1/23 - MIL - 37 pts.
1/25 - PHX - 38 pts.
1/28 - CLE - 41 pts.
1/29 - @ Det - 39 pts.
McGrady is currently the NBA's leading scorer, averaging 29.8ppg, six percentage points ahead of Kobe Bryant. He's second in MVP voting, behind Boston's Rajon Rondo. T-Mac & Wilson Chandler are a deadly scoring duo. Thanks to them(and the solid bench play of Gallinari, Curry, House, Bender & Toney Douglas), the Knicks are in playoff contention.

What a streak by T-Mac

RETRO MAC!!!

Might have to relegate my dynasty exploits to this thread as well. Been suffering a Thierry-esque streak of short-lived dynasties, and lately the motivation to write long-winded recaps just hasn't been there.
Basically, I'm taking a little time off from the dynasty game.

It's not a Thierry-esque streak, it's just a Thierry streak. It was named in my honour.

Yeah, I played another game with my Clippers, and I don't really have a feel for the new-look ones. The team was funner before I got T-Mac and Brewer. Now they are too deep and expectations are too high. I've killed my dynasty credibility in the past couple months, so it'll probably be awhile until I start another online one.
I have a couple very cool and innovative dynasty ideas, but they are pretty ambitious. After all of the false starts in the past couple months, I'll hold off before I waste any time and effort. I'm retiring my Clips dynasty here, because I just can't get myself to do it there.

I've played like 25 games in my second Claws season... I should pay someone to write my recaps

.
That said, I have a pretty cool idea for an association after this one finishes. I'd say the Claws have 3 or 4 seasons in them total.

I made a dozen NLSC rookies for Nellieball that I really don't want to remake. Trying to transfer them into a new custom draft class. I have a very cool idea that even has a story but it would be an absolute bitch to set up.
You should do something like
Martti's Wizards. Very efficient recapping system.
..... Yeah, you can probably expect a new Lamrock joint in the next couple of days. The dynasty hook I just made is fucking badass.

Hope you get back on track with a new D. I'm like pending wether or not to start a new one for almost 3 weeks now. Passed my exams and def. wanted to get one started, but my Bobcats one raised the bar too high in terms of presentation, I just don't want to spend that much time on the presentation and rather play the game. So probably there won't be another 2k10 one from my side.
Sun Mar 14, 2010 7:21 am
You should go for it. Presentation really doesn't have to be fancy. As nice as extravagant templates and recaps are, I think they are overrated, and not too essential. The next big thing I'm working on won't have fancy templates. (Since I don't know how to use photoshop)

This HAS to be one of the greatest teams ever assembled...
I do NOT have trade override on, all of these guys on my team were either acquired through free agency, trades, or the draft. I am the Kings, no fantasy draft, currently finishing up Year 4, about to win Championship #3 after a 69-13 season
PG - Tyreke Evans / Darren Collison
SG - Manu Ginobili / Sidney Karl (22 yrs old, auto-generated, 76 rating) / Francisco Garcia
SF - LeBron James / Kyle Singler (68 rating) / Omri Casspi
PF - Donatas Montiejunas (77 rating, 23 yrs old [I'm using T4nG0 Suck4's draft class]) / Trevor Booker (73 rating)
C - Dwight Howard / Tyson Chandler
James and Ginobili were acquired in the same free agency period, Montiejunas was acquired in the same offseason in a trade. I got Howard in a trade in which I traded a auto-generated PG I drafted who ws 82 overall as a rookie, 86 the next year O_O and Spencer Hawes, who was 77 overall. Donte Green was thrown in to balance salaries.
EDIT: Nevermind, got beat in 5 in the conference finals X__X

Very good team, but looks boring to play as. I used to do sim dynasties like that and abuse the league's lack of a hard cap.
Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:00 am
Hey. Haven't been here for a while. I'm here to tell that I started my first 2K10 association few weeks ago after I got bored of the My Player mode and it's shortcomings. Gotta love the five man game, reminded me why I bought the game in the first place.
Has anyone here thought of blogging their dynasties through 2ksports.com? It's pretty convenient for those who with lack of time, you can upload the box score from the game and add screens and videos to it. Although, some of the player and user stats end up whacked on their site. On the bright side, you can have a fancy banner like this for free:

When you're already at it, give it a click an take a look inside, I have written a couple of short recaps there.
Edit: Just saw that The X was using this in his association combined with a thread here, it was very well done!
Tue Mar 16, 2010 2:30 am
Pretty nice, I already liked this one when X did it. I may go with these types of recaps because I don't feel motivated to make bigger recaps or better presentation.

Year 3 with the Warriors , currently second round of playoffs against the number 1 seeded Blazers who has the MVP Brandon Roy. Our top scorer, Rudy Gay, is out with a broken toe.
Our Lineup is like this :
PG-Steph Curry/CJ Watson
SG-Rodney Stuckey/Rodrigue Beaubois/Matt Carroll
SF-Anthony Randolph(temporary)/Eduardo Najera/Rudy Gay(out)
PF-Ronny Turiaf/Taylor Griffin
C-Andris Biedrins/Solomon Alabi
The series is tied 3-3, really hope Im gonna win Game 7

To bad Gay's out. Thats so unlucky.

Lost the first game of the season in my T-Wolves dynasty after going 0-6 in the preseason (just testing). My roster as it stands:
C Hassan Whiteside (traded him for John Wall and two future 1st rounders -> risky move)
PF Al Jefferson (go-to-guy, first wanted to trade him, but his inside game is too nice)
SF Corey Brewer (really improved, can hit the open J, very decent defender -> steals and blocks en masse)
SG Thabo Sefolosha (acquired him and Nick Collison for Kevin Love)
PG Jonny Flynn (He really improved his game as I trained him for the whole first season -> 93 midrange jumper)
6 Nick Collison (def. a good acquisition as he's a plain hustler)
7 Ramon Sessions (plays better than Flynn at times, but has not J at all)
8 Wally Sszcgszczcserbiak (minimum signing for a year, only for his three)
9 Wayne Ellington (he can score in a hurry or not)
10 Ryan Hollins (I like him, he gets about 10 minutes per game and uses them wisely, playing solid D and swatting shots as well as putting back the ball)
11 Sonny Weems (signed him for the minimum, atheltic guy, benchwarmer)
12 Gani Lawal (dropped into 2nd round in the draft, but I don't see him as a big contributor)
13 Viktor Kyrapha (10 day contract, just in case I need a guy on the wing)
All in all a weak team, but the Blazers only won 103-95 despite leading by 25 in the 3rd. It's tough on offense since we lack a guy on the perimetre who can create his own shot (well Flynn can, but he was a non-factor against Portland, 7p and 2 assists). But it's a fun team to play.
For the FAs: LBJ headed to the Knicks were he put up like 40/10/10 over the course of the preseason. Wade stayed in Miami and it paid off as Boozer and Joe Johnson joined him to form a big three trio. Speaking of big three: Ray Allen signed with the Hawks as well as Raymond Felton, Atlanta has a deep team now. Rudy Gay went to Washington as well as Will Bynum. David Lee signed with the Bucks.
The number one pick was DeMarcus Cousins if I remember right. We took John Wall at two. Hassan Whiteside was number 8. Wesley Johnson was chosen by the Nets at 3.
The biggest surprise in the preseason was Willie Warren who put up big numbers for the Sixers averaging about 20 ppg.
I may get that 2k10 blog thing up. I just don't want to put too much effort into a D, so I use this thread. The Charlotte fail just killed my motivation for 2k10.
Thu Mar 25, 2010 8:54 pm
You got a lot worse with those deals. I would have traded Wall for Turner. It would be interesting to see where do you go from here.

That sucks. Unfortunately same thing happened to me
Very risky move getting rid of Wall. Not a huge fan of Love deal either.
Thu Mar 25, 2010 9:49 pm
The Wall deal is risky, simple and plain. The Love deal though, turns out to be a really good move for me. Sefolosha is an awesome wing defender. With him and Brewer the defense has gotten a lot tighter. He can also score around the rim. Love got dispensable with the Whiteside deal, Collison can back up the rest of these minutes.

Wait until 2k11 gentlemen. Although, I am getting a new laptop for myself soon.

And will get Live 11 on PC and see if that is any fun. May start a story in that area of the forum.

T-Mac won the scoring title, but LeBron wins the MVP. To add insult to injury, T-Mac doesn't make the All-NBA 1st, 2nd or 3rd team - I WUZ ROBBED!!!!!!!
I'm getting my revenge in the playoffs.
Sat Mar 27, 2010 9:08 pm
Lost my first four games, but three of them were against good teams: Portland, Spurs and Hornets. Im missing a shooter, signed Eddie House from the D-league for 10 days, hopefully he can bring some fire power off the bench.
Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:30 am
Still loosing ... no win after 5 games. The Wall deal was definitely risky, Whiteside is playing solid but nowhere near an upcoming star averaging 7/10/1.5. But John Wall is not working well with the Bulls either seeing just 20 mins per game averaging 14 and 4. In real life the Wolves do also not like the combination of Big Al and Kevin Love, but I guess they will try to get rid of Jefferson instead of Love.
Tue Mar 30, 2010 3:36 am
Are you going to try and get Rubio into the game next season? What sliders do you use? I'm a little fed up with the game's poor gameplay. (popped in 2K7 last night - the computer actually played D! Too bad you can't really update the rosters and the graphics are bad)
