Wait so this is a simulated one or the Nets?

Because I bet that recap style won't last long.

Sick presentation as always, but I'm not really a fan of you running two associations at once. (N) You are already putting so much effort into this one, so why even bother with the Nets?

Both are being simulated right now. Nets is more of a hobby  Simming this season with the Pacers to start playing next season completely.

Yeah... :shake: Megan will be back, yellow, on my 2nd season in a gif with Granger.

Azzdogs wrote:Why is Jones on the trading block he is awesome wish he couldve stayed at the Nuggets last year but I like Afflalo as his replacement.

I like Jones, but I like Rush even more, hence he's in the association header  Don't know yet if he wil be traded, but my plan is getting up to $13m on cap relief so I can sign one big FA and then scrubs to help Granger. So don't be surprised if 7 or 8 players from this roster are gone by February.

I want to complete this first season with New Jersey... then an offseason recap and then I'll see if I continue a second season. But it's not probable. The truth is Nets ain't dead as of now.

Making my October/November recap. So check in a couple of hours. :cheeky:

2009.10.28 – Earl Watson @ Hawks: The Pacers lost 117-111 at Philips Arena on the season opener for both teams, and to make the wound hurt all the more, for quite a while they lost complete track of their primary goal entering the season: Play better defense. But Watson's performance was worthy of comment as he had 12 points on 14 minutes, shooting 6-of-7, sidekick to Danny Granger's 36 points and eight boards. “Our bench played great. The thing we talked to those guys about is, we don't know on any particular night who it is going to be, so you have to be ready to play. The guys from the bench were stepping in the game and doing something positive for us. That was the positive from tonight, it was a hard loss.” Josh Smith and Joe Johnson combined for 59 points for Atlanta.

2009.11.11 – Danny Granger vs. Warriors: “I thought the first half we were great,” Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. “I know they missed some shots, but in the second half we played great defensively. It was a great win. We got a lot of guys' help. Danny played his best.” Thanks to a key 25-18 third quarter, Indiana defeated Golden State, 99-89. But Danny's 25 points, shooting 10-of-16 from the field, to go with six boards and two blocks were more important to end the night victorious. Tyler Hansbrough added a career-high 15 points on 6/8 from the floor. Monta Ellis also had 25 for the Warriors but it was not enough. Roy Hibbert would suffer a bruised heel and get less minutes from the bench.

2009.11.17 – T.J. Ford @ Nets: Danny Granger had 26 points and seven boards, something common for him to lead the team in scoring. Worthy of underlining was Ford's performance, who had 24, two rebounds, four dimes and a steal. Nothing more special, as Roy Hibbert, Luther Head, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Dahntay Jones all four combined for 24 points. The Nets were carried by Devin Harris' 20 points and Chris Douglas-Roberts' 18, for a thrilling 96-89 victory. “Devin and Chris were relentless,” Hibbert said. Harris then said the same about his Indiana counterparts: “Danny and T.J. love those moments and thrive in those situations. It was a great win for us.”

2009.11.25 – Danny Granger vs. Clippers: After the first 14 minutes of the contest, trailing 32-26, Indiana made the most damage on the second and third periods, outscoring the Clippers 53-30 and cruised a huge landmark victory, hammering Los Angeles 107-79. The Pacers never led in the first quarter, but Granger hit his first four shots of the second and by the time Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy called timeout to stop the bleeding, the rout was on; LA would proceed to score only 14 points in the third period. Granger finished the night with 32 points, shooting 12-of-18 and 4/6 from 3-point land. Earl Watson added 15 points and Roy Hibbert 14 and seven boards.
Image

    Image
2009.10.30 – vs. Heat: Indiana made 50.6% percents of their field goals, including a whooping 80% percent in a first quarter blitz to turn a 16-point halftime lead into a 116-78 triumph over Miami at the Conseco Fieldhouse. Danny Granger posted 37 points, including 6-for-8 from 3-point territory, and T.J. Ford added 22 and eight assists. Troy Murphy only had 9 points but had a game-high 15 rebounds, while Mike Dunleavy posted 17 from the bench. Dwyane Wade was held to “only” 17 points for the Heat. The Pacers got their first win of the season, coming off a tough loss on the road against Atlanta two days earlier. “We talked about the loss against the Hawks, where we were up and then faltered in the second half, then they just shot the lights out in the third quarter,” Dunleavy said. “Danny and T.J. were just on fire. It was a well-needed win for us to post our first win.”

2009.11.06 – vs. Wizards: Danny Granger heeded the advice of Hall of Fame Larry Bird earlier this week when he told him not to slow down. Granger had a game-best 24 points, Brandon Rush snapped out of his recent slump scoring a season-high 16 and the Indiana Pacers handed the new-look Washington Wizards a 95-76 defeat. “We got a lot of contributions from a lot of people,” Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. “Danny and Brandon were hurting tonight, and Roy and Troy really stepped up.” O'Brien was mentioning Roy Hibbert's 15 points and Troy Murphy's 11 with 15 boards. Josh Howard, recently acquired from Dallas, had a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 11 and 11 rebounds for Washington. Brandon Rush missed the game and was placed on the injured list after suffering a lower back strain against New York two days earlier; the Pacers activated guard A.J. Price to take his place on the bench.

2009.11.14 – vs. Celtics: Paul Pierce and Ray Allen helped Boston withstand Indiana's teamwork: Pierce scored 24 points and Allen added 23, and came back from a 13-point deficit in the second quarter, as the Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers, 104-101. “Both were amazing,” said Danny Granger, who made a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left but then had to foul Pierce intentionally, who made both his free throws. Seven Pacers scored in double figures led by Granger's 18 points and T.J. Ford's 15. Brandon Rush had 12, Troy Murphy 11 and 16 rebounds while Dahntay Jones and Mike Dunleavy combined for 27 from the bench, but it was not enough for Indiana. Celtics coach Doc Rivers added: “I was fine on our defense on Granger. There's only so much you can do. Thanks to Paul and Ray we grabbed the win, it was a really contested game.” Ford was injured on a collision with Kendrick Perkins and suffered a plantar fasciitis; Earl Watson (who had 10 points) took his starting spot for the following games.

INDIANAPOLIS, November 1, 2009 -- The Indiana Pacers announced today that they have acquired a second round pick in 2010 from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for guard Travis Diener. “With today’s move, we preserve the ability to maximize our results on the court and keeping our core intact,” said Pacers team president Larry Bird. “We wish the best of luck for Travis on Sacramento.” The Kings needed a backup PG after Sergio Rodriguez was traded to New York, leaving Beno Udrih as the team only true point guard.

Diener played collegiately at Marquette University, and was a member of the Golden Eagles team that reached the NCAA Tournament Final Four in 2003. That Golden Eagles team had three future NBA players, including Diener, Dwyane Wade (now at Miami) and Steve Novak (at LA Clippers). Following his college career at Marquette, he was a second-round draft choice (38th overall) of the Orlando Magic in the 2005 NBA Draft. Diener made his NBA debut on December 2, 2005, playing 12 minutes and scoring three points in a loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. On June 19, 2007, the Indiana Pacers signed Diener (who was a free agent) to a three-year deal reportedly worth $14.86 million. On other trade news, RealGM reported the rumor of a Nené + pick for T.J. Ford deal that Indiana rejected.

Thanks man, yes I'm sticking with this layout for all the months of this first season. Only recapping the interesting games like I did in this month. (best individuals, best team performances, and any trade news).

2009.12.05 – Troy Murphy @ Clippers: Just when it seemed the Clippers might turn it around, Murphy gave the Pacers a lift; he had 19 points (8/12 shooting, 2/3 3-pointers) and ten boards, giving the Indiana Pacers momentum to overcome a Los Angeles Clippers second half rally, for a 91-86 win. Clippers new signing Larry Hughes had a big second half for the Clippers -- 12 of his 19 points -- to recover from a 11-point deficit at the half but it wasn't enough. “Troy changed the game with his shots and rebounding,” said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. “When a guy has 19 and 10, that changes the game dramatically. Even when he doesn't rebound, he has guys thinking about it, and that can mess up your offensive rhythm.” Danny Granger had 19 as well for Indiana, and Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Roy Hibbert added 9 apiece. Craig Smith was Hughes' sidekick with 16 points for LA; Travis Outlaw posted 14.

2009.12.11 – Mike Dunleavy Jr. vs. Nets: While this game adds one more to the win total, Indiana did something very important tonight: they actually played defense. The New Jersey Nets gave the Pacers a run for their money but fell short, losing 90-80. Dunleavy Jr. led the Pacers with 23 points and three rebounds and Tyler Hansbrough scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds as he played some important minutes off the bench. Danny Granger, who suffered a bruised heel last game against Portland, played limited minutes but could score 14 points. “We've been trying to put our focus on defending, of course,” Hansbrough said after the win. “We did it tonight.” Chris Douglas-Roberts had the hot hand early for the Nets, finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots but fouled out in the fourth quarter.

2009.12.16 – T.J. Ford vs. Bobcats: Tyrus Thomas scored a dunk with 2.3 seconds remaining in the game, giving the Charlotte Bobcats a 105-104 overtime victory over the Indiana Pacers. The Bobcats saw a 12-point halftime lead turn into only a 1-point lead at the start of the last period, before salvaging the win on the final play of OT. “I was pleased with the way we came back,” Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. “But they won it thanks to that dunk, and some great shooting in key moments. We showed a lot of composure and didn’t drop our heads, that why I'm proud of this guys tonight.” Danny Granger had 21 points in only 20 minutes, still suffering from a bruised heel, but Ford was the showman for Indiana with 19 points, 14 assists, two boards and two steals, shooting 8/11 from the field, in his last game with the Pacers before getting trade to, coincidence, the Bobcats. Troy Murphy added 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Stephen Jackson had a game-high 30 for Charlotte.

2009.12.29 – Danny Granger @ Bulls: For the sixth straight game, the Pacers were outshot from both the floor and the free-throw line, and for the fifth time in a row they lost. Bulls' new acquisitions Hakim Warrick and Flip Murray did the job, Warrick having a career-night with 29 points, 12 rebounds and Murray adding 15 off the bench in Chicago's 114-107 victory over Indiana at United Center. Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said it's not offensive futility that's causing teams to outproduce Indiana. “You've got to play a lick of defense if you want to win in this league, that's what we are focusing our trainings,” he said, noting that in the past games the defense was “really poor.” The only positive spot from the Pacers was Granger's complete return from injury; he had 31 points and six boards, shooting 10/18 and a perfect 3/3 from beyond the arc.

2009.12.04 – @ Jazz: Coming off a 25-point loss at Sacramento, a day off allowed the Pacers to clear their heads. Danny Granger scored 25 points, and Roy Hibbert added 13 and Brandon Rush 12 points as the Indiana Pacers beat the Utah Jazz 109-104 at the EnergySolutions Arena. “The loss at Sac-Town made a huge difference for us,” Rush said. “Not so much to get our legs back, but for us to get back to winning ways and get some things corrected and understood.” T.J. Ford and his backup Earl Watson had 11 points each for Indiana. Deron Williams had a game-best 28 points for Utah, as Mehmet Okur and Paul Millsap scored 14 apiece for the Jazz. Rookie Wesley Matthews added 13.

2009.12.19 – @ Spurs: Roy Hibbert received the ball at the paint and was thinking a pass outside, but he nearly lost the ball. Instead of an assist or even worse, a turnover, Hibbert made the biggest shot of the night as his shot with 1.3 seconds left lifted the Indiana Pacers to a stunning 93-91 victory at San Antonio. Hibbert scored a season-high 18 points and also had six boards and two blocks, while T.J. Ford and Danny Granger added 15 and 14, respectively, for Indiana. Troy Murphy also had his 11° double-double of the season with 10-10. “We were badly outplayed in the second half,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “They had no trouble scoring on us and other than Tony, we didn't do much offensively.” As Popovich said, Tony Parker led the Spurs with 18 points and 6 dimes. Manu Ginobili and Antonio McDyess added 12 apiece, and Tim Duncan a season-low 11 points.

2009.12.26 – vs. Hawks: For the third straight game, Indiana trudged off the court, scowls on their faces, dejection in their gait. “I was angry,” explained Joe Johnson, who scored a season-best 35 points for Atlanta, which escaped with a 106-105 win over the Indiana Pacers when Brandon Rush's 12-footer bounced off the rim at the buzzer. Thanks to a 8-0 run spanning halftime, the Hawks surged to a 6-point lead in the third quarter. They were up 106-98 with 1:10 left, when Troy Murphy hit a 3-pointer and two free throws sandwiched around a turnover by Jamal Crawford. After Josh Smith's inbounds pass was stolen by Murphy, a jumper by T.J. Ford made it a one-point game with 20 seconds left. Johnson worked the clock down before missing an 18-footer with 7 seconds left, giving the Pacers a shot at the W, but Rush's potential winner clanked off the iron and he fell to the court as the Hawks breathed a huge sigh of relief. Ford (20 points) led six Pacers in double figures: Danny Granger (19, 4/5 3s); Mike Dunleavy (15), Murphy (13 and 13 boards), Rush (12) and Roy Hibbert (11 and 2 blocks).

INDIANAPOLIS, December 31, 2009 -- Yahoo! Sports reports that the Indiana Pacers agreed on a trade that will send T.J. Ford and Dahntay Jones to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for D.J. Augustin, Gerald Henderson and Nazr Mohammed. As the report says, this is a no-brainer for the Pacers. Jones has been playing a little better in December than in November, but losing him isn’t a big deal for Indiana as his numbers decreased from his numbers last year in Denver. In my opinion, there’s a chasm of difference between his potential and Henderson’s. But, the whole thing seems dubious from a “why would Charlotte do this?” side of the deal. The Bobcats stand at a surprising 22-8 (733%, best record in the league) and want to make a real run in the playoffs, and they think Ford can do more for them than Augustin. Raymond Felton is injured and is listed day-to-day, but could miss the rest of the season, that's another reason for the deal. The Pacers don't get cap relief for this June, but Augustin and Henderson are really good young players, favorites of Larry Bird, Ford needed to go, and Nazr is a decent big man.

Augustin is a promising young PG with NBA starter potential. He would immediately challenge Earl Watson for the starting role and, as a guy still on a cheap rookie deal through 2012, could likely remain a solid back court option that doesn’t really affect the cap for the next few seasons. Indy could let Watson leave this summer and then have DJ and AJ Price as two PG options, which would lessen the urgency of drafting a PG, which is currently the major priority for the team. Perhaps, Augustin isn't a guy you want running your team for the next five years and PG would still be the number one priority, but it would leave the front office less hamstrung to only focus on one position and give Indiana some stability -- which is exactly what Ford was supposed to be, yet unable to be, when he was acquired from Toronto. Mohammed is signed through the Summer of 2011 for $6.8 million, but that’s less than TJ would make, so the cap affect is a net (slight) positive for the Pacers -- and obviously Nazr is a guy that the Pacers could desperately use immediately and next year in it’s frontcourt. The Pacers also shopped big man Troy Murphy, hoping for salary cap relief and young players in return, but teams found Indiana’s price tag for Murphy was too high, and he's staying put, at least until the February trade deadline. Indiana also had trade offers for Brandon Rush and Luther Head, but neither of them came to fruition as the Pacers said none of them will be traded.
