I loved Bonzi, shame he shot his career in the foot. Didn't he turn down a 6 year, $42 million contract from Kings?

Must have taken financial advice from Spree...

Anyway, I'm thinking about resurrecting this. NELLIEBALL! and that Wolves association didn't go so well, but I really enjoyed making this. While it wasn't as good of a read as Nellieball, I was really into this one, and with the trades they made, the team is simply irresistible.

Basically, I'm considering starting up a new file with the same rosters and settings, and simming out the season, then rebooting this from the offseason and then on. Would you guys follow it, or should I just make it an offline project?

Go for it, remember to turn off player roles (and possibly cpu trade as i heard turning off player roles = stupid trades x10) (Y)

I've only really done two 2k10 associations (NELLIEBALL! is an ongoing 2K9 association). Making a Blazers one was the original plan, but I couldn't decide between 2009-10 and 2010-11, and when healthy are too stacked.

Player roles and CPU trades are off but the offseason is always madness.

I like that idea. I have done that in the past with the Lakers and Nick Van Exel, Eddie Jones, etc.

Second Half of the Season Recap

April 15, 2010 - With the Clippers' season now in the books, let's take a look back at the last three months for those of you who have been living under a rock and/or gave up on the team after we traded Marcus Camby. The Clippers started February poorly, and tell to 6-10 on the season. Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin played in the rookie challenge, but Baron Davis was snubbed from the all-star game. With the team on the brink of another lost season, something had to be done.

Dealing big man Marcus Camby for Blazer role players Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake probably wasn't what the fans had in mind. Sending prospects Sebastian Telfair and Al Thornton to Cleveland and Washington respectively in the Jamison three-team deal for expiring contract Drew Gooden showed that management had given up on the season. The team would lose three of four to close the month with a poor 7-13 record.

Travis Outlaw played excellent off the bench, scoring 16 points per game, and the Clippers posted a very solid record of 4-2 in March, keeping them (barely) in the playoff race with an 11-15 record. Unfortunately, the team would lose all three games in April to finish with the seventh worst record in the league, 11-18. Now, us fans get the privilege of watching the Clippers completely screw the pooch in the 2010 free agency class and probably end up signing Rudy Gay to a max contract. Gotta love being a Clippers fan.

Will be interesting to see who you get in the Draft. Wanna see you build around Blake Griffin.

Good to see you did the real life trades as well. (Y)

Sit, Thanks. I just took my updated Rashidi rosters, traded the draft picks and did the Dudley-Bayless deal. Right now, I'm looking to build around Griffin and Gordon. I can afford a max contract player, but I don't want LeBron, Wade and Anthony Morrow among others. I really want a glue guy SF though. Perhaps I'll have Yao retire to injury and swap Kaman and Battier... Who do you think I should pick up?

dare, Yup.

Valor, As you'll see, missing the playoffs was a blessing in disguise for Chi-Town. 29 game sim results are reliably off.

Coming up next is the playoff/player awards/lottery recap. Then, offseason coverage. Stay tuned.

Hm I'd try to get Manu even if it is not that realistic. I know you like Gordon but Manu can play three positions and does the things you need. Acquiring Battier would be very cool. You could try to send them Outlaw and your 1st rounder for Battier and their first rounder, but you would give much potential then.

If I was you I'd try to do a lot of trades because that's what the Clipps need. On the other hand that's what you did not like about Nellieball.

I don't have Bayless. In this dynasty, Phoenix does. I have nno trades planned, but my free agency choices may surprise you, No way I get Manu though,
hate that annoying flopper.

Don't retire Yao. I think you should try and pick up Joe Johnson cause he likes money. I'm always a fan of Carlos Boozer cause he likes money too. :)

2010 NBA Playoff Results

Conference Quarter Finals:
The first round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs yielded no surprise results. All eight top seeds advanced, with the Blazers, Celtics and Cavaliers pulling off series sweeps. The Hawks-Raptors and Nuggets-Rockets series went down to the wire, but all in all, it was one of the least exciting first rounds in recent memory. Seven of the eight teams advancing to the conference semifinals made it their last year, with Portland being the long exception.

(1) Lakers 3-1 (8) Spurs
(4) Nuggets 3-2 (5) Rockets
(3) Blazers 3-0 (6) Suns
(2) Mavericks 3-1 (7) Jazz

(1) Celtics 3-0 (8) Pistons
(4) Hawks 3-2 (5) Raptors
(3) Cavaliers 3-0 (6) Pacers
(2) Magic 3-1 (7) Bobcats

Conference Semifinals:
The conference semis were a bit more exciting. The Lakers and Nuggets had another competitive series which yet again resulted in the Lakers advancing. The Mavericks recovered from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the upstart Blazers in 5 to advance. The Cavaliers came back from a 2-0 deficit to avenge their 2009 finals defeat by the Magic to advance in 5 games. The Celtics-Hawks series was the only one not to go the distance as the top-seeded Celtics dispatched Atlanta in 4 games.

(1) Lakers 3-2 (4) Nuggets
(2) Mavericks 3-2 (3) Blazers

(1) Celtics 3-1 (4) Hawks
(2) Magic 2-3 (3) Cavaliers

Conference Finals:
After being blown out in game 1 at Staples, the Mavericks looked outmatched. However, Dirk Nowitzki and company stunned the Lakers in game 2, and cruised to home wins in games 3 and 4 to advance to their first NBA Finals since 2006. Meanwhile, in a series entirely decided by homecourt advantage, the Celtics slipped past the Cleveland Brons in 5 games, likely meaning the end of the LeBron James era in Cleveland. Bummer. Following the Cavaliers 109-104 game 5 loss, Shaquille O'Neal said he had played his last game in the NBA.

(1) Lakers 1-3 (2) Mavericks
(1) Celtics 3-2 (3) Cavaliers

NBA Finals:
Four years after the NBA Championship was stolen by David Stern, Dwyane Wade and the league's scum referees, the Dallas Mavericks have returned and won their first NBA championship. After splitting the first two games in Boston, the Mavericks blew out the visiting Celtics in game 3, and defeated them 120-115 in the epic double-overtime Game 4 championship game. Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki thoroughly outplayed the aging Kevin Garnett, putting up 27 points and 9 boards a game to KG's 14 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Mavericks 3-1 Celtics
