Chapter 7
“Dammit I killed somebody, I’m a murderer now.” Raymond said to himself while watching the news about the accident of Kevin Love.
It’s been five days since the incident happened but those five days seems to be torturing Raymond’s mind. He kept on dreaming about that moment that killed Love, the moment that Love’s family are all in pain because of the tragedy.
“Damn why is this happening to me. This shouldn’t bug me I have killed several people before this is nothing compared what I have done to the past.” Raymond said.
Suddenly Raymond’s phone began to ring. Raymond picked up his phone and look at who is calling. When he saw that “D” was calling, he immediately answered it.
“Hello…” Raymond said
“Hello Raymond, it’s me “D”. “ the man said.
“Oh boss, why did you call?” Raymond said.
“Just checking up on you, why are you not in contact with us?” D said.
“I thought that I’m fired boss.” Raymond said.
“Fired? Why would I fire you? You done a great job kid, look at the news the Wolves are on a 5 game losing streak.” D said.
“Then can I get my money now?” Raymond asked.
“That’s why I call kid. I got another job for you. I will even double your money, no triple it.” D said.
“Job? Triple my money? And what kind of job is that boss?”
“You got to scout the Wolves for me. You got to know their strengths, weaknesses, and hobbies, everything about them.” D said.
“How can I do that?” Raymond said.
“You think of it. That’s all for now, update me in three weeks.” D said and he ended the call.
Raymond was left standing in his room puzzled. Why would they want to scout the team, How can I do that. Those are the questions lurking in the mind of Raymond.
------
After two days
Minnesota Local Hospital
“It seems that you’re alright now.” Kurt Rambis said.
“Yeah, I just got bruises.” Ella said.
“So how’s your brother?” Rick Kamla said.
“Still asleep, it’s been five days and yet no signs of recovery.” Ella said.
“Oh I see, would like some snacks I’ll go downstairs to buy?” Kamla said.
“I’ll come with I need to buy something.” Ella said. “Can you please watch my brother for a moment Mr. Rambis?”
“Sure” Rambis answered.
With the two left the room leaving Kurt Rambis behind.
“Mr. Kamla you can go ahead I need to go to the ladies room.” Ella said.
“Okay, I’ll wait for you downstairs.” Kamla said.
When Kamla was about to enter the elevator he noticed something about the nurse.
“If he did not wear that mask, he really looks like Julian.” Kamla said to himself.
“knock knock” Rambis heard someone knocking on the door. He quickly opened it.
“I’m just gonna check the patient’s condition.” The nurse said.
“Okay, and can you watch him for a while I really need to go to the comfort room.” Rambis said.
The nurse just nodded. Rambis immediately went outside at the same moment the nurse took off his mask and face that pops out in the mask is Raymond.
“Hello little brother, you’re sleeping very well.” Raymond whispered. “Maybe you can come with me and have some fresh air.”
“I’m back” Rambis said. But Rambis got surprised when he saw no one is in the room. Julian is missing.
--------
At Raymond’s hotel
“You’re a lot heavier than I thought.” Raymond said. Then he just laid Julian in his bed.
“Do you know why you are here little brother?” Raymond said.
“Still the quite type huh? Since you’re not asking I might as well tell you my plan.”
“You know that we are twins right? So basically that means we look a like.” Raymond said. “So this is my plan, since your in here still sleeping I will just take your place in the team. Do you like that?” Raymond said while laughing really hard.
“The next game Timberwolves play Raymond Martin will make his NBA debut or should I say Julian Martin will make his comeback…”
