only player in NBA history to record at least 15,000 points, 7,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists
in his playing career.
Amongst his numerous NBA achievements, Kidd also has 2 Olympic gold medals and 3 FIBAS world
championship gold medals playing for the USA National team.
He is averaging 10.0 points, 10.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game this season so far
for the Dallas Mavericks (4-2).
The 1995 NBA co-rookie of the year and 5 time All NBA First Team player, Jason Kidd will be remembered
for leading New Jersey to two finals appearances during his tenure with the Nets between the years 2001
to 2008 as well as a triple double machine. He is only the second player in NBA history to average a triple-
double for an entire postseason.
"Aside from winning a championship, I've accomplished all that I can in my long NBA career, it's time to
move on" said Kidd in his press conference "Sometimes when you make a decision and you know it's right,
you have a peace come over you. I'll play my heart out with my teammates here in Dallas this season, and
do what i can in an attempt at the trophy, but once that's over, I'll be at peace with myself"
Sheed to retire at end of season
November 8th, 2010
Pistons Center Rasheed Wallace has announced his retirement, effective at end of this season.
Wallace (36), a 16th year veteran, was a core part of the Pistons team that won the finals in 2004. A 4 time
all star, Wallace is perhaps most know for his all time NBA record of 41 technical fouls in the 2000-01 season
as well as his constant blunt remarks in the media.
"One thing's for sure, the NBA will miss Sheed" said teammate Richard Hamilton, who was also part of the 04
Pistons champion team "He's a great guy to be around, and a terrific player, we wish him the best"
"Oh the NBA will miss me for sure, cause they can't fine me no more" joked Wallace "I mean, David Stern can't
cash in 25k every time the press asks me something now, he must be in tears."

Fisher Fine with Benching
Nets guard Derek Fisher has registered 5 DNP-CDs this season, including
the third straight in tonight's game against the Nuggets. But the veteran
says he's fine with the decision.
"I'm always talking with coach and i totally understand and accept the
situation" said Fisher "On some nights, it's better for our team in terms
of defensive matchups to have Patty (Mills) out there instead of me;
I'm too old to run with those athletic, quick guards anymore."
"Plus, i understand that they need me to keep fresh for the playoffs"
added the 4 time champion "it was all in understanding when i signed,
the team needs me to provide playoff experience and leadership"
