Nice pre-season. Looks like you'll have a vastly improved season.

Sorry Valor but Lamrock and I talked about your story-making credentials a while back and I look back now at the progress you have made in the past 12 months and it's just been intense. Kudos on that!

Just what Lamrock and Sit said. You're presentation has improved pretty much! One thing I would love was if you could resize your pics. Makes it look way better imho. Just make them smaller and then instead of putting one after another you can put them next to each other. For things like injury reports etc I would not resize them and give links, because it's better to read.

I won't say that cause would be unrealistic. But I will average 50 against Kobe Bryant. I am the next Kobe Bryant.

Wall lifts Celtics past Lynch, Bucks in Season Opener
Image

Boston, MA - If the season opener is any indication, it can be confirmed that two of the top three draft picks in the most recent draft are definitely not busts.

Not by a long shot.

The 3rd overall pick John Wall put in 19 points, 11 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals on an effective 7 for 10 shooting to pace the Celtics to a 92-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks and their number 1 overall pick Patrick Lynch. Lynch was not too shabby himself, as he led the Bucks with a team high 24 points, as well as adding in 9 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 31 minutes of play; He was just 7 for 22 from the field, but went 9 for 11 from the charity stripe. Lynch would also showcase both his range (1-2 from 3 point land) as well as athletic ability (switching hands in mid air and finishing with 2 Celtics on him) throughout the game.

Behind Lynch, the Bucks erased a 20 point Celtics lead in the fourth quarter, but came up short as his last second heave from beyond half court failed to go down.

"It was a scary moment, to be honest" said Celtics Captain Paul Pierce "It rattled around before dropping out. But we shouldn't have allowed them to get so close in the first place, our focus went away in the fourth"

At any rate, John Wall's focus didn't. The rookie scored 9 of his 19 points in the fourth, which is more then half of what the Celtics had scored in that period as a whole. He was helped along by fellow rookie Terry Cobb, the Celtics' 9th overall pick, who came off the bench and scored 12 points in 13 minutes of play, 5 of which came in the 4th quarter.

Bucks' Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut also played a role in the Bucks' comeback attempt. Redd had 16 points on 4 of 9 shooting while Bogut outplayed Celtics forward Kevin Garnett with 14 points and 14 rebounds, the Australian Center held Garnett to just 4 points on 2 field goal attempts.

"We fought hard and came close, just couldn't close it out properly" said Bogut "But we are proud of our effort tonight, especially Patty (Lynch), he's gonna be a star, no doubts about that"

If the Bucks continue to play this well, there will also be no doubts that they are returning to the postseason very soon.

for a sec i wasn't sure what dynasty team you were using and thought you were either MIL or BOS :P

Seeing this I assume you will do this short recaps with all the rookies. If true, then incredible :applaud:

Cheers Clutch :)
Wall was jaw dropping at times during the game, he made some great plays :P Lynch was very good also, after a slow start

Not all 60 rookies  just the "Big Three" and the NLSC rookies (6 games) as mentioned in the Season Openers Preview post up top.
I didn't have too many things to write about this certain game, one fact being i hate the Celtics and don't really like the Bucks, but the other is that watching a game being played is...boring
however, i should be able to do standard length game recaps in the next few ones, or at least, hope to

Bol Dominates as Heat defeat Wizards in Season Opener
Image

Washington, DC - The Miami Heat should be given a Larry O'Brien trophy simply for their draft decision of 7'4" center Hakeem Bol, the kid is that good.

Bol dominated in his 34 minutes of action, in which he filled up the statsheet, producing an eye-popping 25 points, 16 rebounds, 7 blocks, 4 steals, and 2 assists performance that can be matched by only a few players in the NBA. He was an effective 9 for 12 from the field and went a perfect 7 for 7 from the charity stripe.

"Only a few players has ever had this kind of a night in their career" Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said "He did that in his first game, incredible"

Bol dominated on both ends of the floor, beginning with a block on Wizards star Gilbert Arenas, then a monster throw-down on Roy Hibbert.

"He's just too big, too athletic to handle" said Arenas "I haven't seen anybody like that since Shaq grew old. He's a mix of Shaq's body and Dwight's athleticism. Amazing"

Dwyane Wade helped Bol out tremendously, scoring 27 points and dishing out 9 assists in the win. New addition Tracy McGrady had an off night, going just 7 for 21 from the field for 15 points, while the other new acquisition Raymond Felton had 10 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals in the victory. Michael Beasley added in 17 points and 6 rebounds.

The Wizards were led by Arenas, who had 33 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds in 32 minutes, shooting 12 for 22 from the field. He didn't get too much support however, as only 3 other Wizards scored in double figures and none of them more then James Harden's 15 points.

Star Forward Antawn Jamison was just 2 for 7 from the field, he finished with 4 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds in 28 minutes.

The Heat led early, and never looked back. They led by as many as 17 and was leading by 11 at the end of both the first half and the third quarter. The Wizards, specifically Gilbert Arenas, fought back in the fourth, but it was too late.

"We need to play with more effort" said Caron Butler, who had 12 points in the game "they got like 7 offensive boards to our 1. We can't win if they get so many more chances"

It obviously helps when you have a 7'4" big man clogging down the middle, but Butler is correct, as the Wizards' top rebounder in the contest (Hibbert) only has 6 rebounds as oppose to Bol's 16, Beasley of the Heat also had 6 himself.

Granted, not every team's centers are as soft as the Wizards' ones. However, it can be seen that this 7'4", 335 pound center Hakeem Bol is the next coming in the NBA, well worthy of all the media hype thus far.
