Regarding the name of teams, wait a bit more as Vl@d said that he started with players and eventually will work on teams. That gives you plenty of time to create all your players before editing the teams.


good news ... and you want to create that patch? euroleague?
No, I don't but I would be interested to test such a league if someone creates it.

Your post made me think about something I didn't try during my tests. I wondered if there is some hardcoded limited list for CAPs (on create a player screen), what can we do to bypass it?
I got my answer with a simple test:
- Change Louis Williams into a cap: value 9B to A1 in Hex editor(see previous posts) then player type to 2 in Vl@d's editor
- As Louis Williams is now a CAP in the game, randomize his headshape, add hair and beard then save the roster (Louis Williams appears on the create player screen)
- Load the roster again in hex editor and change the value back to the original one (from A1 to 9B)
- Open the roster in Vl@d's editor then save (in order to avoid the error of corrupted file) and keep the player type value at 2
- Go back to the game on Louis Williams' edit screen: he is now a generic player (like draft class or D-League players) with the exact attributes added earlier (hair style, headshape, tatoos) but without the possibility to change/edit them. And good thing, he's not in the list on the create a player screen anymore :D

I think, I can work on the Editor today a bit, and tomorrow.
Maybe the update will come on Sunday evening (London time).
But if it isn't, it will be surely released on Thursday...

PS: Testers are welcome. Send me a PM, if U would like to test it (but I need a couple of guys, who will test ALL the abilities of the editor). I'll send U a version for 6 hours (so, the priority goes to those who are on-line in the evening (4-8 p. m.) according to London time), to test it before the release.

U can put one option for relink a face ( example: rucky rubio ) for "my player"? Will be great play with "ricky Rubio" with his CF!

So, M@dDog. I found out all the meanings of the value U had found. It's really a Player Type.

But now it is interesting, what does PlType column in the Editor stands for? :) IFF enabling?
In the upcoming update this value has 3 meanings... 0 - has IFF, 1 - has Generic face, 2 - Chinese :shock:
Or prev. version: 0 - has IFF, 1 - Celebrity, 2 - has Generic Face, 3 - *no such values*, 4 - Chinese...
But then why do David Andersen and Taylor Griffin both have 2?

So, I suppose the new version (3 values) be the most right...

Glad you found out what all these things mean. But I'm not sure to understand your explanation about your new system :?

Do you mean that in the new version if I change the value of a real player to 1 I'll get a CAP instead as in the example I gave in posts above?
I wonder whether it's better to get different values for IFF enabling and full customization enabling (like creating a player).

PS: I know it's late but if you need me to test some things, I'm in.

2K maybe just created they png number, but forgot the CF. Your right about 2 - for generic face. That is why Andersen and Griffin have 2 player type.

1. In the value U found there are some meanings (Normal player, CAP, Normal in Created Team, CAP in Created Team, etc. I didn't make a list, just found the proper formula).
2. In the value I found for CF there are also some meanings: IFF, Generic, Chinese, etc. (?). In v. 0.5 there is one formula, but I suppose it to be some other. So, I'm interested, if that one in 0.5 is right? Why do Chinese have special number here? Why 3 is assingned to nobody (btw, maybe U test this meaning of the value?)? And Celebreties have 1.

OK I tested the different values from you player type column (once without hex editing and the second time with the value A1 for each test):
- 0, 1 and 4 = values for players with IFF (no difference between them actually)
- 2 and 3 = values for generic players (no difference between them) - the cyberface isn't used (CAP instead) but the portrait is from the IFF file assigned

When hex editing with A1, everything becomes editable (nonetheless limited for players with IFF activated).

So, you're right there are two interesting values for Player Type:
- 1. IFF activated for cyberface
- 2. IFF deactivated for cyberface with generic face instead
IFF numbers show the portraits for both values.

Then you probably need to implement the value I found with another column for Player Editing Possibilities:
- 1. Limited editing (values already used by the rosters for real players)
- 2. Full editing (A1 value very usefull for generic faces as the can be fully edited)

I think that's the best I can find for now. I will be glad to help you in testing your updated editor before release. Ask me if you need any other testing.

PS: It seems, that player's headband and other accessories can be only of Team Color...

I'll try to find how to make players injured, and after that will make a new (last players) release. Then I'll work on teams...

does that mean we will have ability to change headbands just to team colors right. like can we change the teams color if we want

Injures were found out. :) Both type and time left for recovery. :)
So, the update will be rather soon.

Also found out DraftPos and DraftYear (have not found DraftRound yet :( )

i just turned all legends to AGE 25 and gonna try assoc. to see if it crashes the game at 2nd season like in 2K9

so to all oldschool roster makers : u can change the age in Vl@d's roster editor and the legends dont retire and the game doesnt crash at 2nd season

Use IFF Beta Editor 9 to change the arms' color. Had to wait for the roster editor in order to identify arroyo and green's png id. Go through any player that resembles his arm color and copy that texture to green and arroyo respectively.
