It's beginning to look like that my stint with the spurs was just a mere sub for an injured manu and despite playing very well or i could say "outstanding" they sent me back to the d-league and now i have to finish the season with the toros. Too sad that i have to gone all this. But it is quite a learning experience and also a chance to get more skill points.

Okay, so at least the freezing isn't 2K's fault. My Xbox ate my disc. After taking it out when my Xbox failed to read it, I noticed a huge gash in it that wasn't there when I first put the game in two weeks ago... Back to Gamefly it goes.

Wow. I haven't heard of an 360 doing that to a disc in a while.

Lamrock, you don't have your 360 upright, you lay it flat, correct?

I made a 7'1 350LB Center. Started off in Orland training camp for 6 games. Did really well, averaging a double-double (pts/rebounds) and i got an A+ average. I was cut by the magic (like WTF? doing so well and i got cut?) but they let me choose any team and i picked the Knicks which i got an A average in there 6 games but was sent down to D-League. D-League was okay for me. Got an A average, not as good as training camp. After like 5 games, i got signed by the Pacers.
NBA is harder than training camp and D-League. Went from an A+ player to a B+ but now i improved to A-
I hope to start a game soon. I'm having trouble grabbing rebounds in the NBA.
I just found out how to set the quarters to 8 minutes. I was playing with 5 minute quarters

i don't think it was your console because I have the same problem; except i'm playing the pc version.

i had my first player which i was posting about earlier in this thread.
i made a new player, played the first 3 games of summer circuit, then my game crashed.
everytime i try to open that save it crashes instantly.

i created this 7'1" 340lb center modeled after a character in the manga Slam Dunk...Hiroshi Morishige
started summer league with the Knicks, got great stats in the summer league due to me pumping all the points into strength, vertical leap, and standing dunk...
after the summer league got invites from nearly every team, naturally i chose Chicago...miraculously survived the camp, now in my second NBA game with the Bulls, coming off the bench as a backup behind Noah, Miller, Thomas, Gray.....and i JUST DUNKED ON KG AND RONDO!

rating 51 benchwarmer posterizing a hall of famer

Finally got the game today and created a 5'9 athletic shooting guard. Was assigned to the Spurs' summer league team and after two pretty disastrous games finally got it together in the third game with a 11 point, 6 assist performance which got a B grade. This mode certainly pretty addicting.

I know its a pretty dumb question but.. Is there also D-league on the PC version? Or you get straight to the NBA no matter how you do on the summer circuit and training camp?

I think that is a PC issue. Shit like that is partially why I'm a console gamer. My game only started freezing since I noticed the gash. It also got a disc read error. My game lets me open the save, it just won't let me play any games.

360's are known to destroy discs if you have them standing upright, or move them while they are on.

Not a dumb question - there is D-League on PC, my Slashing SG is currently coming off the bench for the Reno longhorns after spending the Summer with the Knicks. I'm slowly getting my grading up and I'm just leaving things without hacking skill points or quarter length etc.

My daughter who's 8 made a 6'4'' PG and I hacked him with heaps of skill points and he kicks ass, still in summer league but I'm sure he'll get picked up.
Randy - 'Did you know Earl that before we was humans we was monkeys?'
Earl - 'Hmmm, What were we before we were monkeys?'
Randy - 'I don't know...I don't even remember being a monkey'

After getting bored with my 6'9'' Defensive/rebounding PF, I decided to make a 6'5'' 200lb scoring SG just for shits. After demolishing in the summer league I got picked up for the Wizards training camp. At first I really struggled scoring, first two games ~30%fg, but I was still taking good shots, they just weren't falling. After I finally figured out one of the main things I was missing (shot off dribble which ended up being a HUGE help once upgraded) I started shooting a better %.
By the end up training camp I was averaging great numbers but still in the likely cut position. Fortunately I wasn't cut! (Which I thought was pretty rare). And in my second last game of training camp I finally dunked too, something I couldn't get this particular guy to do yet. On a side note I thought it was cool how once you upgrade your dunk and vertical enough the NBA Insider actually tells you that you can now do basic dunks in game, nice little touch.

Anyways here's Andre Tigg's numbers.
Summer League: 26ppg, 5reb, 9ast, 1blk, 1stl, 50%fg, 30%3pt, 100%ft. A+
First two games of training camp: 25ppg, 6reb, 8ast, 1blk, 1stl, 32%fg, 25%3pt, 100%ft. A+
Overall Training Camp: 34ppg, 5.5reb, 6.5ast, 0.6blk, 1.5stl, 55%fg, 35%3pt, 100%ft. A+

I had one game where I was 2 assists shy of a triple double, and just ended training camp with a 51 overall and only one game below an A+ teammate rating. One glitch I've come across a couple times already is that when a team decides to not pick you up (after Summer Circuit or training camp) and it asks you to choose a different team, the last 3 times I've had this happened I end up getting sent back to the original team again.
Ex) Wizards passed on me after Summer Circuit, I selected to go to New Orleans, and ended up with the Wizards still.

btw 8 min quarters.

I see. Not meant to be bragging but I haven't experienced summer league on my created player that's why I asked. He got immediately picked up by the team I went to training camp for (Detroit Pistons) which happened to also be my team on the summer league. So I guess I managed pretty good on not getting cut on the training camp after all. I thought it was really just that way that you go straight to the NBA no matter how you do on the PC version of the game.

First game after going from 5 to 8 my rockets lost 81-76 to the spurs, so it's still fun for me. At least now my team and I can get stats like everyone else.
