For all of you console users, your default game settings just go straight into My Player mode. You can access your default game settings from the menus.

It's very obvious from the leaderboard, that most of the users with 99 ratings, are from China or Taiwan, just by looking at the usernames.

hm, i've managed to change the playing time by adding new cheat, but i can't switch to a different difficulty. i change it to 2, but it reverts to 1 after exiting the game. and i don't see any difference in the game, playwise.

i tried making the skill points to its max (1,4xxx,xxx,xxx) and max some of the stats (dunk, speed, stamina etc)... its so fun dunking anyone while on stat 99 on D-Leagues but later its not fun at all..
cheats make games more boring and it sucks.

Hey so I obviously want to play "My Player but Im wondering:
If I do start one up and use the guide above to edit files and make minutes changed to a higher number, what will happen when the patch is released?? Is someone really smart about these files know that if the patch were to fix minutes or add a setting in-game that it would totally f**k up your My Player?
Or do you think that it is safer to just play with 5 minutes and that probably with the patch you wont have to start over to increase minutes?
Just wonderin..

Does this also work for people who bought the game from Steam?
I can't figure out how to adjust the Dual Core settings for better frame rates either because apparently if you buy from Steam like me, there is no config.cfg file on your computer. Even did a search for it and no luck.

(for vista)
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K10\Saves
or you should just be able to goto start => run, then type in appdata and press enter and it should let you get there, then go roaming, 2k sports, etc

Thanks JaoSming!
I deserved the eye roll. I forgot to change the view settings to show hidden files after I re-installed XP a couple weeks ago.
Found the config.cfg file. Your help is appreciated, however sarcastic it may be..

Sun Oct 18, 2009 10:56 am
Do you have to run Tsearch everytime u want to play myplayer or will the values be saved?
Sun Oct 18, 2009 11:24 am
I bet you have to run it everytime, so try and save your 2K10 settings, then restart the game without using Tsearch, and let us know if it saved.
