Well, I've played 10 games now with the 76ers. I haven't been sent back down to the D-League. but I didn't see anything about them signing me either. I'm still in the 76ers uniform, so I guess I made it?

My stats are pretty terrible though:

Overall Rating: 56

Total Games: 10

16.6mpg, 7.2ppg, 1.0rpg, 3.7rpg, 3.9apg, 0.2spg, 0.6bpg, 1.3topg, 35%FG, 25%3PT.

But whatever, still in the NBA, so I guess that's all right.

it's hard to make baskets, huh? I have similar, actually worse FG%. Those rebound and assists numbers are great for those minutes, though. Points aren't far off from becoming a sixth man if you can get more minutes.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time getting open looks.
Even when I'm open I still miss a lot.

I have a 94 in midrange and a 70 in 3pt, I figured I'd be shooting better with those ratings.
I've been putting some of my points in layups lately, going to try to drive more often.

I really wish I thought about the stat points a little more in the beginning. I wasted a lot of them in offensive and defensive awareness, amongst others. Ratings like these aren't going to have an affect since you can't simulate. Almost makes me want to start over but I've played too many games and got so far... =/

i'm a 5'11 athletic sg that looks like me in real life. in rl i'm not really that athletic (258 pounds) so i've upgraded my mid range shot to 90 and consistency to 87 (i have a solid jumper in rl.i started with the bobcats but they didn't like me so i've joined the bulls who are my favourite team and don't have many good players at sg position. i've played 5 games in d-league and i'm averaging 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 9 minute quarters with 52% fg%. my guy is currently 47 overall.

Hard time getting looks? That's strange, I'm running lay-up drills with my point guard out there. You just have to cut to the basket on give and go's and you're pretty much guaranteed two points.

Picked up by the Pacers and worked my way up to their starting point guard. Averaging 13-4-4 and about 50% shooting.

Now I hope I don't get called up. 15 games left in D-League and after a 0-6 start, I've led the Vipers to a league leading 21-12 record, and am on pace to win D-League MVP.

Nice. I'd like to play with 8-9 minute quarters but I don't think I could get through a season with anything other then 5 minute quarters.
I'm amazed at how many games I've played so far. I normally buy basketball games for the dynasty/association mode and usually end up simulating 90% of it.

Knowing your luck this far, you'll get called up within the last 5 games.
Good job, none the less. Would like to know what happens at the end of the season. Keep us updated. =D

Thanks. Sadly I'm doubtful there are playoffs... or awards, given the absence of the all-star game and award races. Hopefully with my 64 overall rating and ability to score 30 PPG and get an A+ almost every game will help me make a training camp this time...

As mentioned earlier, I have taken my real life game (6'3" 3pt specialist SG) into My Player Mode. Didn't get an invite to Suns training camp despite being the best player for them in summer league. I'm currently rated 45 overall & elected to go to Toronto's training camp as they don't have any standout SG's. I'm very unlikely to make roster, but will give it my best.

Quick question, does anybody know the significance of the emotion rating? It's defaulted at 50 & my player has an unpredictable personality. Obviously my personality isn't unpredictable, so need to remedy that. By increasing emotion rating, I'm assuming my player will have better check on his emotions, no?

As far as I know, emotion only affects how your player reacts to the referee's calls. Personally, I wouldn't bother putting stat points in that area, but it's up to you. I think a lot of the other areas are way more important. I've already messed up my stats a little bit by putting a bunch of points in offensive and defensive awareness amongst others and I'm really regretting that now.

You're a Blazer and playing NBA games already? Or you're in their camp?

First, I just wanna say that My Player mode is really addicting... Just can't stop playing it..

On to my player, i created myself, a 5'9" all around PG.. I started in the Summer Circuit with the T-Wolves.. I didn't get an invite to their training camp so I had to select another team's camp that I would attend. I tried to make the Nuggets roster but after 2 sessions I was cut from the team so I headed to the D-League where I played for the Austin Toros. My player isn't really dominating but I had some solid games, I concentrated on my assists and defense cause I really find it hard to make a basket. I got into February, that's when the Lakers offered me a 10-day contract. I'm hoping that they decide to keep me for the rest of the season.

I disagree. They are the cheapest way to raise your overall. I'm not sure if offensive does anything, but defensive awareness has been a great point investment. Makes it far easier to stay with your man.

Now the highest rated player in the D-League. My shoddy start to the season prevents me from being the scoring champ, despite dropping 30-40 most games as of late.

those of you that are playing quarters longer than 5 minutes, how did you change it from the default 5?

also, are you playing on console or PC?

thank you!

I use 5 minutes, but I learned that if you go through the draft combine, you can change the quarter lengths and difficulty when you are importing your player.

You're right, they are probably the cheapest way to raise your overall. However, like the awareness ratings, I don't think your overall rating does anything either.

Defensive Awareness is essential, as it determines how easy it is to stay with your man. Until I maxed it out, opposing PG's were lighting me up, and now they usually only score about 5 a game

Yeah, that'd make sense if it was simulated...
I don't see how adding points to your character's awareness is going to make you more aware of a person.

I think your player just happens to be in the right place at the right time more often. We still don't have 100% control of our players.

I'm really not sure about that mate, I don't think they'd add a "luck attribute" to a statistically driven game

On-ball defense is what you're looking for if you want your player to keep with the opposition ( aka being able to "stick" with him). I'm under the impression that the awareness stats don't really do anything...but then again why would they include such a redundant stat? Anyways just play smart and you'll never need to up those attributes. (Y)

I was planning on having fun with a 7'0 Center... but somehow my game on the 360 glitched and I ended up making a 6'8 center... I didn't notice until I went to My Player because I had a huge fro... and it makes me as tall as Andris Biedrins... Well anyways, breezed through summer circuit, made it onto the Golden State Warriors training camp... Tried soooo hard to get a A- AT LEAST every game. I did succeed of course, but on the last game of the training camp I was cut.. I was quite surprised because not only did I finish all my objectives, had an A+ teammate rating because of my last-second dunk, "Great" performance (the only blemish was that I lost the game). But anyways, I averaged roughly 15.5 PPG 8.5 RPG 1.0 BPG 1.0 SPG for the training camp.. I even made it as a back-up for Andris Biedrins, over Melvin Ely and Generated player "Raymond Franklin" I believe his name was.. Sigh, now playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce with a rating of 51.......................................................
