I'm worried that my Xbox is going to die soon. I'm on my second, and that one lasted 16 months. I think 16 months have passed since I got this one... My RROD warranty ends this Christmas. Wouldn't be surprised if it died on Boxing day.

The XBox 360 manages to be both a terrible piece of hardware and a fantastic gaming console. I'm worried that the next generation of consoles will also be designed to break a couple months after your warranty ends.

It is, especially when it's before the console is actually obsolete.

I'm surprised I had mine for over two years before it died. I got it second hand and it was a second generation 360, by rights it should've gone belly-up long before now.

By now it should be less of an issue, which is not to say you shouldn't be careful with it but I'm guessing yours isn't a first or second generation console.

Andrew, did you get the three quadrant red ring or the single quadrant one? I think the three quadrant (original RROD) death risk has been cut down significantly over the years, but the single quadrant is replacing it. Overheating doesn't cause it. My first 360 got it after playing Live 08 for 15 minutes in a 60 degree (Fahrenheit) room. Then my second one survived playing eight hour F3 sessions in 100+ degree weather. I really don't think care has anything to do with it at this point, since you need to do the towel trick to provoke RROD.

Receding hairline is a bitch.
It's been almost a decade that I stopped cutting my hair with an electric razor, I shouldn't have tried again. Fucking bold spots on the sides of the forehead...

I hate that shit, too. I never realized how much mine had receded until I saw a photo of myself when I was younger. I thought it was just the sides at the top, but no, the middle has also moved up my forehead about 1/2" of an inch. It really sucks because having longer hair doesn't work anymore as it's really thin in some places and I can't do anything with it but put product in it and brush it back. Contemplating going back to short hair soon.

As soon as it starts receding or falling out shave it real short, then you can still get away with it for years without people noticing. I'll never have to worry about it because my dad's Italian and his hair is about as thick as a concrete wall but even still, good advice.

I've had it fairly short in the past few years, but not short enough to actually see those bald spots, it was covering them without looking like a combover or something ridiculous. But now that I've cut it to about 1/2" long, those two spots are really obvious and pathetic looking.
At least, I don't have one on top/back of my head...yet.

It was the single quadrant one. I've was having some two quadrant crashes during some hot summer days late last year/early this year but it's always been fine after I've turned it off for a while. There was no coming back from the single quadrant crash/error though.

I'm pretty tired of a lot of things major and minor.....I' m a student of the university of rostock, last week my washing machine broke down, i can#t watch dvds onmy laptop anymore, i have no time for playing basketball, although i should be really happy that I am able to do sports in general, because back in 2003 i had a real bad injury...... (because i can't play basketball i became " fat" --> weight has increased about 15 kilograms (damn)) i have to study as many courses as possible because i'm getting money from the government (my parents are unemployed and i can not have a job while I#m studying), so thats why i have to do this and that in a particular period of time.......man, i have just doubts about my future......but hey life goes on anyway

fuck my fucking hometown. I go to trivia every week. Its the 1 thing i do a week to remain sane. However: i never drive. My awesome friends always do. Well today I was at a party till time to go to trivia...so i drove. The first time in 6-7 months ive driven to it...My car is broken into (passenger window smashed to shit): My GPS, My 80gb ipod, and all the cords associated are gone...fucking douchebags. Fuck this town, fuck this place, and fuck these people. The cops told me i was probably targeted as a 'soccer mom' at that...

I don't think they were excusing it, just explaining why his vehicle was targeted.

Hopefully can find some cheaper versions on Ebay Books half.com or something
