That's not really vectoring though, it's just a filter on PS isn't it?

Modifly, well not "VERY" easy, just compared to using the pen tool it's a lot easier... maybe i was wrong saying it's very easy.

Well, Illustrator is supposed to be a lot easier when it comes to vectoring. Using pen tool in Photoshop to create a piece of vectored image is an adapted method.

I dont judge the outcome on how it's made, but I think using pen tool to vector something gives a much nicer result. Version 1 is too blurry, and version 2 is too dark to see what's what. Maybe you need more practice with it to get all the settings and values right. You have my support.

Vectoring in Illustrator is basically the same process as vectoring in Photoshop (i.e you still have to use the pen tool,) only you have just three layers: one for your original picture, one for all your colors and one for all your (out)lines. At least that's the way I do it. The main difference is that on Illustrator you obtain a real vector image (SVGs,) while on Photoshop your exported final picture is rasterized.

As far as I can tell, that is not vectoring at all. There is little manipulation to this picture, probably just some filters on PS/I (cutout) and minor brightness/shadows/highlights and contrast adjustment.

Your new work are nice as always but maybe the font selection in the first one is a bit simple?

Again, a nice piece of art. I thought Federer's face was too unclear and bright as opposed to his neck so maybe that's something you could improve upon.

Great work, and it's good to know that your problems with fonts are getting solved.

Anyway about that vector you do with Illustrator, what Jae and the others are pointing out is the smoothness of the shape/vector layers once the image is formed as a whole. Some parts (shapes) of your vector images are jagged.

Lean, i get it now, i have to change the opacity of the layers, the way i do it, it looks posterized... so maybe if i soften it a bit and lessen the opacity it would look smoother...

i can't find a good quality whole body image of elton brand with sixers jersey, so i used the fathead image where in he wears a Clipp's jersey, and IMO his last good season was with the Clipps.
