December was an excellent month for the Warriors. They posted an 8-4 record for the month and improved their overall record to 18-12, good for 4th in the Western Conference. Coming off a trade that sent role players Ronny Turiaf and Marco Belinelli, along with sixth man Corey Maggette for Rudy Fernandez, Joel Przybilla and Mark Blount, the Warrior did not struggle and their chemistry stayed intact. That, along with the decision to start Ricky Rubio over Steve Nash have helped put the Warriors in a higher tier. Also, Anthony "Meal Ticket" Randolph has been establishing himself as a star in the league. There is a good time we will be seeing both Monta and Anthony in Dallas this February.

Warriors Star Monta Ellis Killed In Moped Crash
Oakland, CA - January 1, 2010; 6:35 PM - Today is a tragic day in the NBA. Golden State Warriors star Monta Ellis has been killed in a moped collision, The Oakland Press reports. Ellis, 24, was reportedly rushed to the hospital at 1:45 AM after sustaining a severe head injury. He was found unconscious, with his scooter found totaled fifty feet away. Examiners found his blood-alcohol level three times the legal driving limit. he died of severe brain trauma before he made it to the hospital.
Ellis, a five year NBA veteran, was selected with the fortieth overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft. He exceeded all expectations, winning the 2006-07 NBA Most Improved Player award, and has been compared to former second-round pick and Warriors star Gilbert Arenas. Last season, Ellis sustained a torn ligament in his left ankle, caused by a minor moped accident. He was fined $3,000,000 and suspended 30 games. The Warriors won just 29 games that season.
According to teammate Ricky Rubio, Ellis had left a "New Years fiesta" around 1:30 in which several team members were in attendance, and said he was taking a taxi home. "I no believe he is really dead. I just see him last night", the young spaniard remarked later. Other Warriors team mates were not available for comment. The Warriors will presumably play tomorrow's game versus the Kings without him.
More details are still to come. Spanish guard Rudy Fernandez is expected to replace Ellis in the starting lineup.
