Yes, really. Mad TV, Saturday Night Live and here in Australia, Full Frontal...their send-ups of TV shows tend to be pretty weak, basically consisting of dressing up like the characters in costumes that range from downright terrible to pretty spot on, then acting like idiots without really hitting on the any of the elements they could effectively satirise with the punchline basically being the equivalent of someone posting "lol that show sucks" on a message board. I do like sketch comedy, but TV show parodies are a weak link for me. I also feel the British are the best when it comes to sketch comedy, but then I've become a Monty Python geek thanks for my father.
