The Greatest NBA Drafts of All Time by THE BOSS wrote:1984 NBA Draft
This draft gave us four of the greatest NBA Players of all time, starting with Hakeem Olajuwon(1), Michael Jordan(3), Charles Barkley(5), and John Stockton(16). Combined, those four players have eight NBA titles, seven MVP awards, and 45 NBA All Star Game appearances. The 84 Draft added depth to it’s claim as best ever with Sam Perkins and Otis Thorpe taken fourth and ninth, respectively, along with Kevin Willis, a solid pro, taken at 11. The rest of the first round left much to be desired.
1996 NBA Draft
This draft was selected by Slam Magazine as the greatest in NBA History, and for good reason. This draft was deep, with Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Erick Dampier, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Jermaine O’Neal, Peja Stojakovic, Zydrunas Illgaukas, and Derek Fisher taken in the first round.
2003 NBA Draft
This draft has the potential once all of these guys careers are over, to be the best draft ever. Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh were four of the first five players selected that year. You add in solid pros like Chris Kaman, Kirk Hinrich, Mickael Pietrus, David West, T.J Ford, Josh Howard, Kendrick Perkins, and Leandro Barbosa, the quality found at the bottom of this draft outshines the 1984 and 1996 drafts for depth.
