It's not that he was suspended for helping people, he was suspended for violating a rule.
No one cares if Iskitoy discussed it outside of this forum, he shouldn't have done it here. There's e-mail, messaging/chat services where he could have done what he did. Don't do it in here because it's against the rules.
The forum has rules, persons who intend to or continually disregard that should not even bother posting here in the first place.
If a new member doesn't like the rules, then don't bother to post in the NLSC.

(I'm referring to no one in particular in my post, not iskitoy. I'm just stating an example)

I'm pretty sure the mods were aware of the help iskitoy has done in here that's probably why he only had a 2 week suspension instead of the permanent ban.
Which is a good thing to happen because he can still be back here.

Yeah, I think so too, there is no need to make him look like an ass, you can simply state that he was banned for violating forum rules, unless it is also part of the moderators rules to put people who got banned look like ass!

Well in the first place I think not alot of the members here knew that he was suspended where it not raised on his thread, now everybody knows( those who follow his thread) that he got suspended.

We all know how texmod runs and what it needs to run, but for noobs they simply don't know. Still not an excuse though to violate the rules even your intention is to help other members, as is the case of itsikoy. I hope he continues to help others in spite of getting suspended.

You can always PM your friendly neighborhood mods/admins to sort out some details you need to know regarding that (iskitoy's suspension)

Yes but as i say again, for noobs, you think they would PM the mods/admins? Makes me think that Itsikoy is relatively new to this forum as well, might have overlooked the rules, getting him suspended. But that is just me.

Let's wait for him to return (if he does), all in all rules are rules and if you can't follow them, then don't join them ( forums )

What I meant was the details regarding iskitoy's suspension, not that thing. That may only put you in a bad light with the mods/admins if you don't know what you're doing.


I think iskitoy knows the rules, if you look closely at the edited post of his, the italicized fonts are the edited ones while the normal ones are iskitoy's. He probably discussed some of it in partial detail without realizing it.

"If you have the..."
"Unfortunately we can't discuss or it is prohibited to discuss anything..."

To those of us who knows how texmod works, we can already surmise what the first two phrases are supposed to follow.
Unfortunately for iskitoy, he probably didn't realize that he partially discussed some details in the first two, that's why the third phrase is like that.

No need to PM the mods about it, why even bother, he made a violation that is why he got suspended and that's it.

We can always wait for him to return, if he does return, to explain his side since we've temporarliy hijacked his thread discussing about his suspension over and over again, but if he doesn't, still is fine by me, since aerodynamic has started doing has started doing shoe patching as well, or wait for Xiaoju to release his new patch. Only thing is, where to request new shoe patches ( loved his converse shoe patch btw,not contemporary).

What's the point? I'm not contesting the ban. It's how they handled it, with the balls and stuff. There's a kind of superdickery (aka shadowgrin ) that I can take, but that's just going too far. I just hope it isn't pdub, because if it is, I just lost respect for the only decent mod here.
