I see a copy but I want Howard has the ring...

Shaq = Howard ....hmmm alright, but he's not as dominant as the Diesel back in the day.
Scott = Lewis .... I still think 3D (Scott) is a better shooter than him. *Correction on Lewis, he doesn't "always" shoot and definitely not on fire.
Anderson = Nelson .... what?!
a better playmaker (Hedo) .... Let see who's their designated playmaker back then... Ok, I remember now,it's Penny Hardaway right?

The 95 Magic is incomparable to that of the current one. Today's Lakers got no chance on that lineup if they're playing againts them.

I think that it's all over for the Magic. Should they push this to a game 7, I believe they don't have the composure to finish the series on a high note. They can't even finish a game on a winning note.

Fuck referees , NBA Officiating is one of the Worst in Sports if not , the Worst .
Yes players make a bigger impact but sometimes it all comes to the refs calls .

Sure, a bad call can turn the tide or come at a very inopportune time in the closing seconds. But if you want to win, you can't rely on perfect officiating from start to finish, you've got to get the job done yourself. And the Magic certainly had a chance to win that game before it even went into overtime.

MikeMan™ wrote:We can blame Howard FT's , Nelson's decision to defend Fisher , Rashard's performance and Stan's PG picking .
But sometimes the referee have some impact on the game .
What happened if the Ref called on that elbow ?
Magic could've won , right ?

Sure, they could have won. And they could have won in regulation if Dwight Howard made those two free throws. If he'd made those free throws, there's an even better chance that both teams could've walked off the floor at the end of the fourth quarter with the series tied at two games apiece. The fact that Howard missed those free throws and blew an opportunity to put the game out of reach is nobody's fault but his own. Jameer Nelson passing the ball straight to Pau Gasol is nobody's fault but his own. Again, if you want to win a championship you've got to get the job done yourself, you can't rely on perfect officiating from opening tip to final buzzer.

MikeMan™ wrote:We can blame the players , but we can also blame the refs .

Sure, you can blame whomever you want but that doesn't make it right. There's no question there are some downright terrible calls at times and sometimes those times are crucial points of important games but in a game like this where the Magic had more than ample chance to win and they had several miscues - turnovers, 15 missed free throws, defensive lapses - the deciding factors go well beyond referee error. And if the referees were trying to give the game to the Lakers, they did a pretty lousy job of it with two of their starters and their sixth man in foul trouble, 28 personal fouls called on the Lakers compared to 21 for the Magic and a free throw discrepency of 37-20 in favour of the Magic.

His decisions during the finals have been a little goofy. PJ is out-coaching him, which hurts a lot cause I hate the Lakers and want Orlando to win.

Just when we were able to put the "blame it on Nelson" subject away because it is starting to get annoying, you brought it back up again.

Surely the discussion should be focussed on Dwight's costly FT misses. That swung the momentum in the Lakers favour in Game 4.

Blame it on Stan for not making a play to foul which might have given them a win

Orlando as a whole takes the blame. A lot of people on the squad, including Stan Van Gundy, made a lot of mistakes that night and it'd be unfair to put the blame on one of them. They all take the blame. End of discussion.

Stan made the right decision on that .
If the Lakers made a two instead of a three the Lakers will foul , Well Stan noticed that his team is shooting poorly from the line .

So why not put Redick on the floor and have him shoot the freethrows? I still think it was a bad decision. Why take the risk by giving the Lakers a chance to tie the game when you could send them to the line where there is a higher possibility that they will miss a freethrow? It was a gameble and Stan lost the bet, under that type of pressure anyone could miss from the line. This includes Orlando themself but still, it was a bet worth taking because at least the game is not tied and you'll still have the lead.

Well that one is on Nelson , at least close in on Fisher . . .
If Stan wants the Lakers to shoot a trei at least defend them well .
Fuck Nelson . . .

Nelson was defending Fisher closely on that play, he just didn't contest the shot as hard as he could.

i think the magic will take game 5 and then the lakers will get game 6. The magic were impressive this year but the lakers are probably just more focused and determined specially after being humiliated last year, even in game 1 and 2 before the game you could see dwight howard and his team mates smiling and joking about but kobe and the lakers looked like serial killers :D sooo focused, anyway i hope kobe gets his first finals mvp, he probably deserves it.

LOL at the post about lebron eating his nails, if you think lebron doesnt carry the cavs you probably must have had alott to drink

I don't know, overtime hasn't been kind to them. I hope they can salvage a bit of pride and push the series back to LA but I'd be quite surprised and certainly impressed if they could push it past a sixth game.

I really think it'll be all over in game 6. The Magics will likely be able to take game 5, then the Lakers will take it all when the series shift back to LA. After all, that's a better place to celebrate.

It's not impossible to achieve, but do you really think that the Lakers will drop 3 games in a row? That being said, it's almost impossible. :|

Ofcourse its possible, anything is (right?) but like someone said do you really think L.A will drop 3 games in a row, with 2 of them being at home? Nah they want this title to much. Kobe being the main one.
