This might not be the best place to ask your problem, the best thing for you to do is to probably consult a doctor. There are a lot of people here with knowledges but still, it's best if you consult a proper doctor. Anyway, I'll give it a shot. ;)

Are you stress? If you are then that's going to affect your sleep. The other thing is, do you have meal before you sleep? If you had a meal not so long before you sleep then that's going to make it difficult too. The last thing I can think of right now is that you're worried out about the fact that you can only sleep for 3-4 hours a night and that adds to the stress box. Dont give it too much attention, if you pay too much attention to the fact that you can sleep for 3-4 hours a day then it's not going to cure. Worried mind dont sleep properly, eventhough you think you're not worried but actually you are. So yeah, dont think about it too much, if you do your mind will acknowledges that you can only sleep for 3-4 hours and you'll wake up again. I dont know how to explain this really, but I cannot stress enough on how important it is to not be stress.

On some things perhaps but sleep disorders...not so much. Unless we do have a doctor in the house in which case I'd advise them to keep quiet, otherwise they'll get bombarded with everyone's disgusting and disturbing ailments. ;)

That has to stop too, you shouldn't think about your problem especially right before you go to sleep. And dont say that to yourself too, tonight, say to yourself "I'm going to sleep all the way to the morning and I will wake up at 8 AM".

don't eat or drink any sugar and caffeine. or energy drinks and shit like that. drink like 6 glasses of water spread out over the day. and have a sandwhich or drink a cup of soup in between meals to keep yourself from ending up hungry at the end of the day. also if you could convince yourself to stop worrying about things you can't change, you should be able to reduce your level of stress and anxiety.

This usually is my last resort, but if you are really really suffering, take pills. Sleep Aid should help you a bit. It will make you feel relaxed and drowsy. It shouldn't be that strong, but make sure to follow directions. For stronger pills, consult a doctor. Usually relying on drugs isn't really healthy though.

I agree about sleeping pills. Use them only if that's your last possibility. I've used something like that, and I wouldn't say it was good. But, it helped.
Don't know if that could help but I sleep better when my window is open. But zanshadow's sig says everything..
