Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

i was able to use a batch file on extracting bmp files from the fsh then renaming them for better file reference so i wont get confused....

Ah yes, that one. One thing I think we should keep in mind however is that the user does need a couple of really high percentage shots to counteract the comeback logic, but so long as Outside Scorers have their layups that should give users the bailout they need when everything else fails in the face of the CPU suddenly gaining superhuman abilities.

Thanks stratjim, there's still work to be done but I'm glad with what we've got so far. I thinking getting a release out there has certainly boosted interest in the project and general morale of people who were waiting for it, so hopefully we'll be able to make it bigger and better.

you're right there Andrew....I got my live06 mojo back....and i'm starting a dynasty once 1.1 is released....

Guys check out the NBA 2006 Release/Preview forum. A new member updloaded his SGSM update with amazing art
Mon Mar 30, 2009 1:46 am
that's some really good stuff he's got there...but isn't it for 08?..coz the guy said, most part is compatible, as far as my understanding of his grammar goes...and downloading from rayfile is such a pain..

Andrew u should check it out~
if the file works~ u could release it on version 1.1
but the problem is we don't know who made the patches...

If we don't have permission to use it, we can't use it. Simple as that. And if it's just a compilation of art originally made for NBA Live 08, well, we've already got that so there's no point anyway. Feel free to use it if you wish but at this time we can't use it as an official part of NBA Live PC.
Mon Mar 30, 2009 11:24 am
i downloaded it and found that some files like the scoreboard was originally made for live05...it really looks good...but then again, like Andrew said, art updates are always optional...

Andrew wrote:The wait is finally over! We have a stable release (v1.0) of the NBA Live PC Project for NBA Live 06.
The following downloads are now available:
Full Package (66.4 MB)
Rosters Only (671 kB)
Art Only (66.0 MB)
Custom Menu Art (5.24 MB)
Key features of v1.0- Initial Release!
- 2008/2009 Season Rosters accurate as of March 20th, 2009
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- Jerseys, logos and courts Updated for the 2008/2009 season
- East/West All-Stars Updated for All-Star Weekend 2009
- Rookie/Sophomore teams Updated for All-Star Weekend 2009
- Player Accessories Updated
- Contract & Salary Info Updated
- Seattle Supersonics changed to Oklahoma City Thunder
- Simple Installation Routine
- Fixed Shoes
- Fixed Legends Ratings
- Coaches Updated
- Second 90s All-Stars team added
- Net Animation Fixed
Additional Release Notes- Although this is being classified as a stable release and has been thoroughly checked, there is always work to be done and this is intended to be an ongoing project. As such, constructive feedback is certainly welcome.
- Player ages have not been pushed back in v1.0 but that's something that will be on tap for future versions. My current plan is to release a batch file between now and v1.1 that will adjust birthdates to push player ages back. Like the Primacy Fix, this is something that you will be able to safely run on a Dynasty game in progress so you won't need to start all over again.

- The Custom Menu Art is an optional download at this point. It is not required by the main installation but if you like what you saw in the initial previews, feel free to download and install it as well.
That's about it! I hope you enjoy the initial release of the NBA Live PC Project for NBA Live 06, I look forward to continuing to improve the project as time goes by. As I've mentioned recently our intention is to continue the updates for the older games for a while yet as I've found a way to streamline the process and I'd certainly like to keep working on the NBA Live PC Project as several factors have pushed the release back so far. Feel free to post your feedback and corrections, all we ask is that you keep it civil and constructive. That way, we can make the mod better for everyone.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to the Project so far, your time and efforts are very much appreciated. Please see the readme file for a list of credits; if I've missed anyone please let me know and I'll fix it up ASAP.
I have nba live 08, can I use this update???
Wed Apr 01, 2009 3:37 am
nope, it's for 06
Wed Apr 01, 2009 1:51 pm
The NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08 does many of the same things though, adding missing faces, updated jerseys, current rosters etc. Updates for 08 and 07 have been released throughout the season.
Fri Apr 03, 2009 3:06 pm
hey andrew,
could you separate the art into categories?
like the stadiums and courts, shoe update, player updates, etc.
some of us may not need all the art files, but rather just some of what we need
Fri Apr 03, 2009 3:34 pm
I thought about doing that for v1.0, I'll certainly consider it again for v1.1.
Fri Apr 03, 2009 11:46 pm
Hi Andrew, if you're considering to separate the files for v1.1, is it also possible to just have the rosters (without the install.exe)? Thanks!
Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:27 am
You mean just the save folder zipped up? Because there's already a seperate download that just installs the rosters and nothing else.
Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:29 pm
Yup; zipped up without the install.exe. Maybe I'll pm you for it to make it easier for all.
Sat Apr 04, 2009 7:03 pm
I'll keep it in mind and I don't mind putting it up there, but is there any reason you don't want the installation .exe file?
Sun Apr 05, 2009 5:47 pm
No particular reason for not wanting it; just felt it's much easier if I just put the roster file into the save folder (by copying and pasting). Personal preference I guess.
Thanks!
Sun Apr 05, 2009 9:40 pm
Fair enough. I'll see what I can do, I'd rather not have too many downloads that are basically the same thing as that might get confusing but I'll try to work something out.
Mon Apr 06, 2009 6:17 pm
I appreciate you accomodating us as much as you can, Andrew; but for the greater convenience of the others, I'll just pm you for it.
Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:31 am
Easy enough to do that too.
Sat Apr 11, 2009 4:57 am
hey andrew, did you set the team color for the okc thunder?
team headbands for them are pink
Sat Apr 11, 2009 1:19 pm
I thought I updated them, but they definitely shouldn't be pink. If anything they should be green (Seattle's colours) if I missed them.
