Yeah watching Hamlet 2 right now actually, not bad so far. Also saw Get Smart and Get Smart: Bruce and Lloyd, great comedy but not too much of a spy movie

Watching spaceballs for the first time since middle school

Mel brooks has done much much better...i.e. Blazing Saddles Young Frankenstein and History of the World Part I.

I watched My Bloody Valentine in 3D today. The story sucked, but if you are thinking about watching it the only way to watch it is in 3D.

Saw Kentucky Fried Movie and Repo! The Genetic Opera tonight
Kentucky Fried Movie has some classic bits: pretty funny random sketch comedy

Repo!-give the album a listen before you buy/bother with this flick. If you like the album check it out: if you dont: dont bother cuz youll hate the movie. Its good enough for what it is but some inconsistencies/poor edits cause what could be a great movie to be just alright. Anthony Head looks like the greatest actor of all time next to some of those talentless fucks.

Well, grab a copy, get drunk and watch it once a day until you memorize it.

I rented Pineapple Express, which was mostly very funny, James Franco is quite brilliant in it.
Also saw Eagle Eye, which is actually one of the most entertaining action movies I've seen lately. Much better than the Bruckheimer-type of flick I was expecting.

Gran Torino - Fun, hilarious movie. Not high art or anything, but its a really fun blockbuster.
Let The Right One In - A Swedish vampire movie; is actually an amazing film that I would recommend to anyone.
Milk - Pretty good movie. Great acting and directing in it. I still think Slumdog Millionaire is the best film of the year though.
Benjamin Button - This one sucked. An hour longer than it should be, a few contrived scenes (the car wreck scene... ugh) and overall not very memorable. Good production values, bad movie.

Good to hear Gran Torino is good Lamrock....it's something my wife & I have seen previews for & it has piqued our interest....don't know if we'll watch it at cinemas, but if not, definitely a DVD hire once out....

Did it make you feel secure about going to bed at night? I kid, I kid...

Gran Torino was awesome, Clint is still the man, not senile like most celebs his age.

I saw Quarantine. While it was somewhat of another Zombie flick, I thought it was a pretty good watch.

Transporter 2=not even worth seeing

Strange brew in the process of watching right now...interesting and funny at times but dry spells for much of it

I know I'm referencing old things and posts but Get Smart and Pineapple Express were both far better than I could have imagined.

No, they're not good films. But I have absurd standards.

General Criticism:
GS: Come on. BE FUNNY AFTER THE FIRST TWENTY MINUTES. But I liked it. Still. I watched Get Smart on Nick at Nite as a kid. You can't pull this shit on me. I know the original defines bad ass.
PE: Oh, forget it. I liked and watched this same as Rolling Kansas. (OKAY LESS. ROLLING KANSAS IS BRILLIANT. AND RIP TORN AND KEVINSPACEY/THOMASHAYDENCHURCH OMFG) I know it's nothing special, but if you're a pothead you think this is what's happening when you do things like going to the store or macdonalds. Okay, you don't and won't ever...but being stoned a lot is pretty boring if you describe it afterwards, but we can pretend. WE MUST PRETEND. Thug life.

I watched Blades of Glory in the last few months too, discounting Jenna Fischer (which I am required to do, lest I grant this best film ever status) it wasn't that bad either. Tropic Thunder was okay too. I mean, I watched them mostly through. While doing other things. Blades has Will Arnett and wife. (Take that womens movement.)

Either I've become a pushover in regards to films, or...I don't know. I'm probably a weirdo: The Dark Knight is still 3/5 at best, and The Simpsons Movie still sucks complete ass and is not funny.

Here's hoping for an Arrested Development movie in 2009, over Michael Cera's dead body.

Watched the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
Violent as hell, even if I am use to those kind of things right now, I am shocked that I have a film so violent..

The film is not bad for a prequel. Storyline not bad ether. Good film I guess

I saw The Ringer. I want to currently die. This movie was bad, cruel, and messed up. I think I should go to hell just for even considering watching this movie. This is why I hate being sick cause it makes me delusional.

I was a little disappointed with Righteous Kill. If you're gonna have De Niro and Pacino in the same flick, don't give them cheesy lines and a predictable ending goddman it

last one was outlander, which is about an alien in norway.

although I enjoyed it, there were some gripes like the strong woman character,
which seems almost manditory in movies these days. women in that timeframe
weren't allowed to carry a sword, let alone raise one up against their father.

shakey cam here and there.

what I liked was the monster, the viking with 2 hammers and how the priest died.
4/5 coolest movie I've seen this year.
if you're into action, you might get a kick out of this one.

Agreed: very underwhelming flick. Bobby D and Pacino are far past their primes and now are just playing "old" rather than a character.
