Odom Injured in Bulls win over Clippers
December 17th 2008
Bulls forward Lamar Odom, who is having a career season thus far for his new team, has sustained a twisted ankle earlier this evening in the game against the Los Angeles Clippers here in Chicago.
Odom landed on Clippers Center Chris Kaman's foot as he came down from getting a rebound early in the 3rd quarter, but he was able to return to the game in the 4th. He finished the game with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.
He is listed as day-to-day but head coach Vinny Del Negro has put him on the inactive rotation, and he'll stay there until the injury has healed, Odom will therefore, not travel with the team to Boston on the 19th. and most likely would not play until the 3 game road trip on beginning on thursday next week in Miami.
"I had a chat to the trainers and to Lamar, we discussed it, and thought it was best to avoid reaggravating the injury, it'll be tough without him, but it would be even worse if the injury was made worse because he was playing with the injury." said Del Negro
Rudy Fernandez will start in place of Odom at the Small Forward position until Odom returns
Timberwolves looking to fire Head Coach Randy Wittman?
December 17th 2008
After a 8-17 start to the season, rumors have began to arise about the possibility of the Timberwolves management planning to fire their head coach Randy Wittman.
Even if Wittman feels the pressure, he still feels as though his team is close to turning the corner.
"No, all you can do is prepare each day, that's all you can do," Wittman said. "I'm not going to worry about that. I've been in this business 25 years. I know what you have to do to be successful and that's what I'm trying to do."
Williams gets starting nod
December 17th 2008
Sean Williams, the guy who Bulls owner Dennis Rodman said is the next himself, has gotten the starting nod from Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro after impressive performances in the last while.
Williams has averages of 9.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.1 bpg in 20 minutes per game, he is shooting 70.5% from the field and 73% from the line. He has averaged 15 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 2 apg, 0.8 spg, and 2.4 bpg in his last 5 games.
"Sean has just been great lately, his hard work has paid off and he has improved dramatically over the last month or so." said Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro "He deserves to start and the team needs him"
Williams would be starting at Power Forward, in place of Drew Gooden, who has been struggling as of late.

Hinrich could be dealt before trade deadline?
December 19th 2008
Sources close to the Bulls have leaked out possibilities of Chicago looking to accept trade offers with regards to their floor general Kirk Hinrich.
Hinrich has been a big part of the Bulls in the past few years, but recent struggles last season and the fact that Derrick Rose was drafted by the Bulls meant that Hinrich is now a 6th man for the Windy City, he has had flashes of good play and some great games but has been fairly inconsistent and most of the time struggling in the reserved role; Hinrich's contract is not a bad one since it decreases over time, but it is around 10 million dollars a year and it's still got 4 years left, the Bulls, under new owner Dennis Rodman, has undergone drastic changes in order to build the team around Rose and newly acquired Lamar Odom in hopes of reviving the Bulls Dynasty once again, and at the moment, Kirk Hinrich's terrible play, and his big payroll on the team's salary cap, is seemingly, in the way.
Rumor has it that some offers the Bulls are considering for Hinrich include the 76ers' Andre Miller, who has an expiring contract with an amount that's same as Hinrich's one this season, or Richard Hamilton of the Pistons, who also has an expiring contract; or, the Bulls can go towards other directions, and trade away the duo of Hinrich and Gordon together for an even bigger expiring in the likes of Shawn Marion, who has a 17 million dollar expiring this season, but either way, the Bulls would end up with enough cap to throw a few max contracts at some free agents like Allen Iverson, or if they are lucky, Kobe Bryant this coming off season, or they could wait for the Lebron James and co free agent class of 2010; Either way, it's a perfect opportunity to complete the roster and head towards the Larry O'Brien Trophy

Although I like Hinrich on 2k (was maybe my best player in my 82 games Bulls 2k8 association) I understand that you want to trade him. An expiring contract would certainly help you.
But Rip Hamiltons contract is not expiring, is it?
Odom's injury is ahead of schedule, will return for game against Pistons
December 22nd 2008
Bulls forward Lamar Odom, who had a twisted ankle on the 17th in the game against the Clippers, was due to be fully recovered 3 days later, on the road trip against the Miami Heat, but he is now recovered ahead of schedule and will return to play for the Bulls against the Pistons tonight.
"It feels great, i can move, i can slide, i can change directions, i can jump, it's completely normal and i'll be ready at 100% tonight" said Odom
