No Activation Code - Fixed, Update Steam

One of the people I called at 2KSports called me back to give me a CD Key over the phone. He is in a different department, but said they wanted to make sure I was able to play. He said I was the first person they called, and they're working on getting other people a fix. He thanked me for buying the game.

So there are people at 2Ksports who go outside the box to help customers.

Like the Grinch's heart, my opinion of 2KSports just grew three notches today.

I've called 8 different people so far, all have gone to voice mail. Hopefully everyone else is, as they say, "blowing up the phones" there at 2K Sports.

I'd rather not so they can use their time to get a fix for all of us instead of wasting it on the phone.

Yes, it's installing right now. And I'll tell you that I took a different approach on the message to him than I did in other calls. With the receptionist I was rude, and that was wrong. She didn't deserve to be spoken to as I spoke, and I'm ashamed that I spoke like that.

The person who responded, the voice mail went like this "I know it's not your department, I'm caught up in this CD Key issue, and I'm looking for someone at 2K Sports who will be a champion, think outside the box and the job descriptions, walk around and fix this problem."

Someone over there is doing it. The person who called me went outside the box. That's a good person.

Man Im not happy about this, I just bought it, having the same problem as everyone else, I might try calling 2k, not sure it'll help though since it seems nobody wants to answer(I can see why).

It's much easier to say something than to carry it out. I mean, how is it possible for 2ksports to contact everyone who purchased this game? Do they have a record for this? If so, how can they manage to contact this number of people within a week?

well i just called them, some woman awnsered the phone, and it took me right to some guy named chirstian well, left a voice messege, not cussing him out, but simple asking for an awnser to this problem.

on a side night, i just had finished redoing my pc, i was installing, the game, i got really happy, like yeh, it's finnaly installing, i get to the steam activation, and got discusted. man i dont know how they can honestly fix this, because most the stores out here are only getting 1 copy of the game, i dont know about block buster, or the main line stores like that, but i know 4shure, gamestops only had 1 copy shipped, the thing i hate bout gamestops, i call up tell dude whats going on, he breaks like see thats what happens when you try and mass produce a game that wa soly intended for consoles? im like ???????th!!!! are u serious, stop hating on the damn pc, anyway, im just ranting at this point, really heated about this.

yo j, i already installed the damn steam, so i wonder wth they gone do to fix this 1, this is crazy yo!, i mean the smart thing to do i think would be sense steams ask for email activation, those of us that actualy got the game, they should send (mass codes) dedicated strickly to those emails that wa ssigned up from the jump, and from then out do the same thing, this is pitiful/

just uninstall steam and click on the NBA 2K9 cd and all should go well

I am installing now, for those with steam open, goto File then Check for Steam Client Updates....

try running the install again, and boom goes the dynamite

there is a fix out finnnaly , you have to load up steam first, click on the update
and it will registry ur game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahhhh ya beat me 2 it jjjjjjjjjjjjjj!!!!!!!!! lmao
