Key features of v1.07:
- 2005/2006 Rosters accurate as of 25/03/06
- Player ratings updated
- Primacy ratings adjusted for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
A couple of notes:
- I've noticed a couple of other problems with readjusted Primacy the last couple of updates. If anyone wants to report any strange simulated results, by all means let me know so I can investigate those players and make adjustments accordingly.
- If I haven't made a particular rating change you suggested, chances are I didn't agree with it and either left it as it was or changed the rating to one I felt was more appropriate. In most cases this is my final word on the matter for now, so please don't keep suggesting the same changes if I have already declined to use them.
- As with all the updates, I'd like to avoid changing ratings back and forth; back in the days of NBA Live 2004 I changed Peja's three point rating from update to update until I finally had enough and settled on a fair and realistic mid ground. I like to skip to that final step these days.
- Remember that I prefer to assign ratings based on the entire season so I don't like to make huge boosts based on short stretches of play, so I might not raise or lower a rating as much as you might expect. Because I have to allow for a player's performance over an entire season, I can't change a player's ratings too much every time they go on a tear or enter a slump, otherwise I'm changing the ratings back and forth every other update (see above).
- The usual: if a lineup isn't up to date or a transaction doesn't appear to have been made, check the release date against your information. The update is only accurate as of the time it was released and with the new rules regarding the inactive roster, lineups in particular can become outdated overnight.
- The rosters have been tested thoroughly and should not crash at any point. Remember to use the birthstate.dbf/birthtown.dbf fix if you run into any trouble.
- And as always...please don't ask when the next version will be out. When I have that information, I'll update the Release Date thread. As always more information about release dates can be found in the aforementioned thread.
I think that's all for now. Download it, use it, give feedback on it and hopefully above all, enjoy it.
