After several tries, it seems to happen when the Pistons go ahead by double digits with a few minutes left. But, you have to give Ben Wallace a hard foul and then look to the stands. Then the game crashes.

I've tried that. I'm wondering, though... on the controller configuration menu the only button I see is Save As and I've used it... and all it does is go back to Generic when I leave the menu. Even on Generic, my controller doesn't work at all.
